Happy Fall and for who are German or those who drink beer, happy Oktoberfest.
One piece of news that I missed in July was that the Old Man donated the chair that the Pawn Stars bought from a seller and the chair belonged to Pat McCarren. The information about the sale is here: http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2011/04/pawn-stars-review-april-18-2011.html
Essentially, the chair sat around the store for over a year gathering dust, so they decided to lend the Clark County Museum:
Wearing sunglasses and a no-nonsense air of authority, Richard “The
Old Man” Harrison from TV’s “Pawn Stars” made his way Tuesday morning
into the Clark County Commission chambers to be honored — and to leave
behind a couple of gifts.
One was a check for $1,000 for the Clark County Museum.
And
the other was the loan of a piece of historical furniture for the
museum — the U.S. Senate floor chair used from 1933 to 1954 by former
U.S. Sen. Patrick McCarran of Nevada.
“It’s one of the few items,
that when I looked at it, where I really needed a drool cloth, because
it was so cool,” said Mark Hall-Patton, Clark County Museum
administrator. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/jul/17/pawn-stars-regular-loans-mccarran-chair-museum/
another piece of news is that Netflix has dropped Pawn Stars from it's play list: Netflix's streaming service no longer has room for "Storage Wars." And it's not holding onto "Hoarders" either.
As of Friday, Netflix has dropped about 800 hours of content from A&E Networks -- including "Storage Wars" (pictured), "Hoarders," "American Pickers" and "Pawn Stars"
-- from its streaming service, after deals to stream the content
expired.

About 300 hours of content from A&E, which were not covered under
the expired contract, are still available for streaming on Netflix. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1492088/news
