Earlier this week, President Obama said the world is a safer place. Apparently he was not thinking about ObamaVille/Chicago, where Obama still owns a house which is guarded 24/7 by the Secret Service.
From the Chicago Tribune: At least 15 people were shot, one fatally, across the city between mid-day Friday and early Saturday morning, police said.
The most recent incident left four people wounded but it’s not clear where it happened. The four walked into Norwegian American Hospital with gunshot wounds but it’s not clear where they were shot, police said.
Just before midnight, a 28-year-old man was killed in a West Side shootout in the 1300 block of South Central Park Avenue. Police found shell casings in the street and from inside a nearby apartment that detectives led two young men away from in handcuffs.
The man was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. Two other people near the scene who were running away when police arrived were also arrested, though it’s not clear what role they may have had in the shooting, if any.
About the same time as the homicide, two men were shot in Englewood on the South Side and left in critical condition. A 20-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, hips and torso and the other man, 22, was shot in the left hand and right arm, police said. Both were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
About 11:20 p.m., someone walked into Stroger hospital with a gunshot wound to the right arm. Seems like Obama cares more about the illegal gang member thugs that are coming across the Southern border than the people in Chicago who are being shot and injured or killed.
