President Obama has done a lot of dumb things in his presidency but this selection of a Democrat hack activist as the Ebola Czar has to be among the top 3 of the dumbest moves by Obama.
From the NY Daily News: Is there a doctor in the house?
The newly named White House “Ebola czar” came under fire shortly after his Friday appointment for a lack of medical credentials as the largest outbreak of the deadly virus raged on in West Africa.
Attorney Ron Klain, former chief of staff to Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, was appointed as the Ebola response coordinator to quell concerns over the lethal virus’ arrival in the United States....
The Democratic Party insider’s duties include overseeing the detection, isolation and treatment of Ebola patients. He will also be involved in trying to halt the deadly epidemic at its epicenter in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
But President Obama’s choice of Klain — famously portrayed by Kevin Spacey in the HBO movie “Recount,” about the 2000 election — was quickly attacked by critics who felt he lacked the medical chops.
The pick makes it “clear that the President sees Ebola as a political crisis and not a health crisis,” said Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.).
“As a doctor who has worked in public-health programs in the U.S. and hospitals in Africa, we need someone with extensive health-care experience in dealing with this public health crisis.”
Former Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson took to Twitter to tweak the President.
“Appointing a political #Ebola czar demonstrates administration did not take public health seriously,” Thompson tweeted. “It did not have right people in place.” http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/ron-klain-announced-u-s-ebola-czar-president-obama-report-article-1.1977858
Hell, I got more medical experience than this fool. At least I worked in hospitals and nursing homes for many years and know about working in contamination areas.
This just shows that Obama is completely ignorant and almost brain dead.
