Apparently, the overwhelming will of the voters don't matter to the RINO's in Carson City, NV, where the RINO legislators and Gov. Sandoval decided that voters don't matter.
From the LVRJ: A controversial bill that would extend a bond rollover program to address pressing school construction needs was signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Brian Sandoval after the bill won approval in the Assembly on a bipartisan vote.
“It took some courage to get here,” he said. “It took leadership.”
The law will result in construction beginning on seven new “shovel ready” schools in the Clark County School District before the end of the session to open in the fall of 2017. Five more new schools will be built to open in 2018.
“Thirty-two new schools in the Clark County School District could be built today and immediately filled with students,” Sandoval said. “We had to do something and we had the sense of urgency, and as I said, you have all answered the call.” http://www.reviewjournal.com/leg-edu/controversial-nevada-school-bond-bill-signed-law
In 2012, Clark County voters overwhelming turned down an effort to build more schools in a referendum.
In 2014, state voters overwhelming turned down a ballot initiative to raise money for education by taxing all businesses in the state that do more than $1,000,000 of business a year.
The taxpayers of the state and Clark County have decided that the school districts, especially in Clark County, that they have enough money.
If the school districts really need the money, then they can go to the taxpayers and make their case. Some districts may win while others may lose.
But the legislators and Sandoval have decided that voters don't matter and that they know best.
Just more disgraceful behavior of the RINO governor and state legislators.
Another Drone Theory! "Conspiracy"????
