Tomorrow, NASCAR is holding their Victory Lap on the Las Vegas Strip, but apparently, they really don't care if Las Vegas locals are there or not.
From the LVRJ: NASCAR Victory Lap from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Strip. The Chase drivers will start and finish the parade in front of the Miracle Mile Shops. http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/nascar-champions-week-features-several-events-fans
A 2:45 start? Well, that leaves anybody who works the day or evening shift in Las Vegas out. It also leaves the vast majority of kids who may want to see the parade of cars out as most kids get out of school around 2:00 and would have a very difficult time getting down to the Strip.
In previous years, they started much later and the show they attend started right after the parade. Now, they have 1 1/2 hours between the parade and their show.
I used to support NASCAR coming to Las Vegas in December, but if they are not going to make it Las Vegas fan friendly, then screw them.
