Tea Pary Fraud In Court Today

From the LVRJ: "Scott Ashjian admitted in court Wednesday that he was a registered Republican at noon March 2 when he filed his candidacy as the Tea Party of Nevada candidate for U.S. Senate.
Ashjian told District Judge James Todd Russell that he did not change his registration to the new party until about three hours later when he flew home to Las Vegas from Carson City.
Ashjian's attorney is from the ACLU, so you know they will act like an idiot and in this case, they did not disappoint. Ashjian's lawyer says: "But Ashjian's lawyer, Allen Lichtenstein, said Ashjian "substantially complied" with the election laws and did not attempt to defraud voters as to his party leanings. If I am ever pulled over for speeding, I guess I can say I was substantially complied with the law, except that little bit of speeding. O.J. can say he was substantially complying with the law, except for the small part of pulling out a gun and threatening. Bernie Madoff can say he was substantially in compliance of banking laws except for that little fraud thingy.
In the Las Vegas Sun, we find some comedy: "Scott Ashjian, fighting to remain on the election ballot as the Tea Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in Nevada, says he doesn’t think he will get the endorsement of the party to be made Thursday." Saying he probably won't get the Tea Party endorsement is like saying the sun will probably not come up in the west tomorrow morning.

Well, if you are going to be a fraud and Harry Reid's stooge while hiding behind the tea party name, you are probably are not going to get their endorsement.
I don't know how this will turn out. Yes, he broke the rules by filing for candidacy for one party and switching the party a few hours. Is it serious enough to get thrown off the ballot.
Further, how much is Ashjian spending with his own money? He has bills to pay and he owes many people. How is he financing the law suit?
But Ashjian did make an endorsement today: He thinks Sharon Angle is the best GOP candidate. I'm pretty sure this is one endorsement she did not need.
