Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good and the Badgers were mostly lucky today as the Badgers beat the Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes missed a extra point and a chip shot field goal in the first quarter. They also got lucky at the end of the game as the Badgers tackled the Hawkeye runner in bounds on the last play, as the runner was trying to get out of bounds.
But the Badgers were tough and after trailing by 6 points with about 8 minutes left, the Badgers marched and trudged down the field, which included a fake punt and scored with about 1 minute left. For winning the game, the Badgers won the pig trophy or Heartland Trophy.
The Badgers are 4-1, second place in the Big Ten, behind Michigan State who barely won today. How Michigan State stays undefeated is beyond me, but they are.
The Badgers have the next week off to rest up and get some injuries taken care of.
