Snow In Las Vegas?

From The National Weather Service: THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A WINTERSTORM WATCH ABOVE 5000 FEET FOR THE SPRING MOUNTAINS INCLUDING REDROCK CANYON AS WELL AS THE SHEEP RANGE AND LINCOLN COUNTY...WHICHIS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.* TIMING: SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AROUND 10 PM TUESDAY AND BECOME STEADIER AND HEAVIER AFTER DAYBREAK WEDNESDAY. SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO FALL INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING BUT SHOULD BECOME LIGHTER IN INTENSITY BY THEN.* SNOW LEVEL: THE SNOW LEVEL WILL BE AT LEAST 5000 FEET AND MAY RISE TO 6000 FEET ON WEDNESDAY MORNING BEFORE LOWERING TO AT LEAST 3000 FEET BY EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING

If the snow level goes below 3000 feet, then areas of the Valley will get snow- Summerlin and Henderson come to mind, along with the surrounding mountains. For snow to hit the Strip, snow will have to go down to about 2000 feet or lower.
Snow, while unusual in Las Vegas, it's not unheard of. A couple of years ago, we had snow throughout the Valley and some places got up to 8 inches of snow. CCSD had a snow day the next day.
Once again, global warming is ceased to be found when it is needed.
