City Of Henderson City Coucil A Disgrace

Today, the City of Henderson city council voted 4-0 with 1 abstention to hire Josh Reid to become the city attorney of Henderson.
From the LVRJ: The Henderson City Council voted 4-0 with one abstention Tuesday to hire Josh Reid as the next city attorney.
During a public comment period that lasted about an hour, Mayor Andy Hafen said the media made bad assumptions in recent weeks by speculating that Hafen and council members would elect Reid as a political favor to his father, U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.
"I'm very well aware of what's out there with Sen. Reid," said Hafen, who disclosed his daughter worked with him for eight years, until 2006, when she ran her own campaign for Congress against former Rep. Jon Porter, R-Henderson, in a race that was decided by one percentage point.
Councilwoman Kathleen Vermillion did not vote after announcing she would resign from the City Council effective Jan. 1. Only two people spoke against hiring Reid out of about 70 in attendance.
Neither Reid nor interim City Attorney Christine Guerci-Nyhus were present at City Hall.Reid, one of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's five sons, walks into the job amid controversy.

The city council hired an environmental lawyer (Reid) over an attorney who is a city attorney. For the City of Henderson.
In addition, Crybaby Harry Reid lobbied several members of the city council to hire his son, apparently Josh had to rely on his father to pull some strings.
Further, the City of Henderson dumbed down the qualifications for the job so Reid could apply. How pathetic and corrupt is that?
To my council member, Debra March, you are a disgrace to Henderson and you should resign, otherwise I hope people will try and recall you. But no matter, when it is time for you to run for re-election, don't worry, I will bring this issue and others up against you. Just disgraceful behavior, Debra March.
