An Obama administration official confirmed on Friday that the White House had called Barnard to offer the president as the commencement speaker....

So, a speaker was already chosed=n for Barnard College, but Obama decides he would be a better speaker.
Reading about Obama's narcissism makes me want to go to this guy's film even more:
