Pawn Stars Review: January 21, 2013

It's finally warming up here in Las Vegas- the lows are still in the low 30's but the days are beautiful, around 60-65 degrees.
You knew this was going to happen: there is a tour bus that goes the Pawns Star's pawn shop, the Gold and Silver, to Rick dales for American Restoration and to the fish and tank store that stars in the TV show on the Animal Planet- "Tanked".
Here is one tour company web site: http://www.alllasvegastours.com/body.asp?tour=5293PAWN&page=TourDetails
And this one: http://affordablevegastours.com/party-bus-tours/las-vegas-pawnshop-party-bus-tours/
This one costs $120.  There are others and I am sure you you won't be guaranteed to see any of the stars.
Tonight, there are two new episodes.
In the first episode, a guy brought in a named "F.D.R. Meets Ibn Saud"  You can read the book here: http://www.social-sciences-and-humanities.com/pdf/FDR_Meets_Ibn_Saud.pdf
or find out about it here: http://www.selwapress.com/aboutfdrmeet.php
The book the guy brought in a book that was signed by the author and has a note of thanks from the White House.  It was a top secret meeting between Roosevelt and the King of Saudi Arabia.  The guy wanted $1000.  Time for an expert, Rebecca.  She said the meeting was secret, with only Roosevelt, the Saudi king and the author in the room and they talked about a state for Jews and a Palestine.
Rebecca thought the book was worth about $1000.  The guy wanted $900 ad Rick offered $500 and stayed firm until he went to $550, which was the selling price.

The next guy brought in Freddie Krueger's fingers or Edward Scissorhands hand- Scissor Katar, as shown above.  Rick thinks they came from India.  Rick offered $50 and the guy wanted $75, then Rick went to $60 and the selling price was $65.
The storline was that Chumlee wanted to play Ninja with the Katars.
The next guy brought in a lithograph/painting by Pablo Picasso: http://www.picasso.fr/us/picasso_page_index.php
Picasso gave away the painting to the seller's grandfather and ended up in a boat storage building.
The picture was of some African people, animals and landscape.  Time for an expert: Brett, who works at Art Encounter: http://www.artencounter.com/.  The seller says there were only 2 of the lithographs around.  Brett thought the print was legitimate and done by Picasso.  Brett thought the painting was worth over $100,000.
The guy wanted $20,000, in pawn, which means he had to pay $2600 in interest a month, so he got the loan for $20,000.
The next guy brought in a John Wayne saddle., that was supposed be the saddle John wayne used in the movie "True Grit. http://johnwayne.com/   and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_Grit_(1969_film)
It was a full sized saddle.  The guy wanted $2600 for the saddle.  The Corey and Rick were skeptical that it was Wayne's saddle.  No sale.
In the 2nd episode, the first guy brought in some jury questionnaires from the O.J. Simpson trial.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O._J._Simpson
O.J. Simpson is a resident of Nevada now, since he was sentenced to up to 33 years in prison for the armed robbery he committed and is spending his time up in the Lovelock prison.
Rick and the seller talked about the Los Angeles murder trial and not much about his current situation.  The guy wanted $75 and rick offered $50 and the guy came to $60 and that was the selling point.
Dennis Rodman In wedding Dress

The next lady wanted too sell some game worn Dennis Rodman basketball jerseys.  The lady was married to Rodman and that is how he got them.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Rodman
Rodman is supposed to be in financial trouble, so, I bet he would want the jerseys back.
The lady has a child with Rodman and the money she go would go for school tuition.
Vintage BMC Heavy Duty Pedal Tractor Senior Pedal car Toy Old Child's cars old

The next guy came in with BMC 1950's pedal car.  The tractor was in rough shape and needed to be restored.  The guy wanted $100 for the pedal car and Rick offered $50 and then $60 and that was the selling price.
After the Rick bought the tractor, the Old Man and Corey ripped Rick about the purchased, so Rick took the pedal car to Rick Dales and Rick bought the tractor for $80 and he was going to use them for parts.

The next guy brought in a M-209 mechanical cipher machine.  It was used during World War 2 and used to send secret messages.  The guy wanted $1800 and Corey went to $1300 but there was no deal.
That ends another 2 episodes of Pawn Stars.  As always, thanks for stopping by and see you next week.
