From the Houston Chronicle: A man who was shot in the rear end last week while allegedly breaking into a pickup has another item to add to his list of recent woes — he's now charged with burglary of a vehicle, according to a police report released Tuesday.
Dennis Molina, 24, was removing a box of assorted tools from the bed of a 2003 Ford F150 at about 3 a.m. on May 6 when Northwest Side homeowner Miguel Sandoval, 32, looked outside, according to the report.
Sandoval had heard noise on the porch of his house in the 1500 block of Texas Avenue, and he saw and heard the doorknob move as someone tried to open the door, according to police. He had been the victim of theft in the previous two weeks, he told police.
Sandoval got a rifle and opened the laundry room window before he looked out and saw Molina and another man on the back porch, he said. He yelled, “You better leave, I have a gun,” according to police.
But instead of leaving, Molina began to walk toward Sandoval, who started shooting, the police report states. Sandoval told police he did not know whether Molina was armed.
Sandoval shot three or four times at Molina, who ran toward the rear of the property and possibly jumped a fence, according to police. Molina dropped the box of tools as he fled, according to the report.
The other man, who has not been identified or apprehended, ran away down the driveway, the report said.
There was no blood at the scene, but a few minutes after police arrived they learned Molina had walked into Metropolitan Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound.
“It was passed on that it appeared the person shot had been hit in the anus or somewhere close to that area,” the report stated. http://www.chron.com/news/local/article/Police-Burglar-s-buttocks-wound-helped-crack-case-5475168.php
My guess is that this idiot thug isn't going to be sitting down soon and it serve him right.
But then again, he'll probably get a lawyer and sue the homeowner.
