From Philly.com:
Eric Frein is surviving in the woods by eating cans of tuna fish and ramen noodles, police said Friday. But they say they believe his food supply is dwindling, and that with Frein's diminishing resources and the weather beginning to chill, they will soon be able to catch the self-styled survivalist.
"I'm more confident than ever that he's stressed," State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens said. "It's only a matter of time." At a 25-minute news briefing Friday afternoon, Bivens offered few new details on the three-week-old manhunt for Frein, who is accused of killing one state trooper and injuring another in a Sept. 12 shooting at the Blooming Grove State Police Barracks.
Bivens said: "We remain confident Frein is in the general search area," a five-square-mile patch of forest in Monroe and Pike Counties.
Bivens said Frein had left behind "trash and other items we know he has utilized" during his time on the run, but he offered no details.
I have a strong hunch the cops are searching in the wrong area. The guy has been on the run for 3 weeks, so what makes them think he hasn't left the area. He probably travels at night, slipped by some check points and is somewhere long down the road.
Or I could be completely wrong, but we will see if he is ever captured.
