Top Chef: Las Vegas

I have been watching Top Chef for the past several weeks, turned onto the show by my lovely wife, Cathy.
First, I could never eat their food. It looks terrible and not enough food to satisfy me, but I am not an uppity food critic. Give me McDonald's, Culvers or a good buffet any time.
Second, I am trying to figure out where the chef's are staying. It seems like only 2 areas in the valley. Summerlin, to the west or by Sunrise Mountain, in the east. Both areas are elevated enough that you can see the entire strip, depending on the location. If you ever visit, make a point to go to Summerlin, around the 215 and Summerlin Parkway and you will get a fantastic view.
On the East side, go to Hollywood Blvd, and between Lake Mead Blvd and Washington, you will find fantastic views of the valley. Go during an electrical storm and you will have an awesome view. If you want to really see the lights of Vegas, go to these locations. You will be amazed and it is free.
Anyways, by the process of elimination, I believe they are by Sunrise Mountain, on the east side.
Finally, the show is held at the M-Resort. We stayed at the M on our wedding night. If you want to go to a top class resort, the M is the one. Their buffet is the best in the Valley, even better than Wynn and the Belliago, and they have good bars and cafes. The staff is top notched and it is clean and fresh. The casino is nice and you can go get free soda from the soda fountain, so you don't have to wait for the cocktail waitress for a soft drink. They do run shuttles down to the strip, but get the times as you may be stranded if you miss the last shuttle, like a friend of mine did. There is no bus service to the M and a cab ride may be expensive, about $25 or so.
Their pool is a usual resort pool in Vegas. Shallow, small and closes around dusk. It may not even be open now.
We were there when the show was being taped, but we had no clue they were there.
