Well, yesterday, there was a new episode, http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2010/05/pawn-stars-review-may-2-2010.html. Today's first episode covered the first episode tonight. I could have sworn that the 2nd episode was a rerun as well, but I could not find it in the archives. Sooo...
The first guy brought in a 1973 Bally's pin ball machine that was in pieces. They brought in an expert, Michael. I've played these types of machines when I was a kid. The inside looked pretty bad. To restore it, it would take $2500-3000. The guy wanted $3000 and the Corey's offer $800 and then $1000 and that is what it sold for. It was restored for $3000 and it can make $5000, so they may make a profit of $1000 on the deal.
The next lady brought in a a $20 gold piece the lady found at her new house. It may be a counterfeit, but the counterfeit is also made of gold, so the lady maybe in the money. And another expert comes in. The coin was real and it was graded at mint stage 64, worth about $2000. The lady wanted the $2000 and Rick offered $1500 and that is what it sold for.
The next guy brought in his human transporter, a Segway i2. Chumlee tries to ride it but is not very successful. The guy wanted $3500 and the counteroffer was $2000 and then $2500 and it was sold for that amount. Later, Chumlee was seen running around the store with the Segway.
The next guy brought in a portable gramophone, a compact portable record player. No batteries required. You could play old 78 rpms. It worked. Poorly. The guy wanted $200 but the counteroffer was $80. The guy wanted $100 and that is what he got.
The last guy brought in an Shelby car couch. Well, it wasn't a Shelby and Chumlee was way too big the couch. The guy wanted $3500 and Ricked offered $300 and then $400 and there was no sale.
I know this is a rerun, but I couldn't find it, so I could not go to bed until 11:00. Damn.
