Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada made me proud today when he voted against the debt ceiling limit. Unlike Joe Heck, Heller stood on his principals and didn't break his campaign promises of being fiscally prudent.
Of, course it a was a safe vote, since there was never any doubt about the outcome, so I will always wonder if the vote was closer and the outcome uncertain, would he have voted the same way. Right now, however, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
This also puts him head and shoulders above Shelly Berkley in his re-election bid.
So, congratulations, to Dean Heller, for standing up for conservatives when other so called conservatives did not come through.
