Diva Alert: Mrs. Obama To Be Grand Marshal For NASCAR Race

This was probably not a good idea by NASCAR and by the Obama re-election army.
From the Whitehousedossier.com: The White House is dispatching Michelle Obama to serve as Grand Marshal of the Nov. 20 season-ending NASCAR Ford 400, a move that seems clearly designed to woo NASCAR voters while also burnishing the first lady’s credentials as a regular gal.
Mrs. Obama, who has incurred some bad publicity for taking luxurious jaunts to South Africa and Spain while often being photographed in expensive clothing and accoutrements, has lately been spotted shopping at Target and hanging out at the baseball park, attending the first game of the World Series.
The NASCAR appearance is billed as part of the first lady’s “Joining Forces” initiative for military families, and Mrs. Obama’s Joining Forces co-chair, “Second Lady” Dr. Jill Biden, will also serve as Grand Marshal.
The Ford 400 is held at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. Florida is perhaps the most critical presidential battleground state in the country.
But Mrs. Obama’s presence at one of the biggest NASCAR events of the year will surely be noticed throughout the region where the sport if popular, which includes many other critical swing states like Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Missouri and Missouri.
Indeed, the “NASCAR vote” has taken a place alongside “soccer moms” as a coveted demographic for presidential candidates.

Having Queen Obama and the smart one of the Biden Family as grand marshal is about the dumbest thing the Obama folks and NASCAR have done in a long time. It's probably even dumber than when the NASCAR race in Las Vegas in 2010 had Kim Kardashian as co-grand marshal. But at least Kardashian had sponsored a car in the race and works in Las Vegas from time to time. But Kardashian was booed to no end by the crowd and she was mocked and laughed at. So much so, that she was pissed and stormed out of the speedway before the end of the race.
There are not that many liberal Democrats that attend NASCAR races and maybe only a few more watching the race on TV. Queen Obama is not going to change anyone's votes just because she was the grand mashal. Other than the bailout of GM, Obama has nothing in common with NASCAR. Some reporter ought to ask her what a J.J. Yeley is and see what she says.
Further, those attending the race will go through even more security than usual. That will not be a good thing for people who have been tailgating for a few hours before the race. Just ask Green Bay Packer fans who got extra security treatment, this year, even without any presidential diva's being there.
So, will ESPN actually show the women being booed by the fans? And will ESPN remind it's viewers that when the two Queens say "Gentlemen, start your engines" the cheers are not for the Queens, they are for the drivers. NASCAR fans will know that, but I doubt the Obama fans tuning in for the first time ever will know the difference.
So, to NASCAR, what the hell were you thinking for having the number one diva in the world, Michelle Obama, who hates everything NASCAR, especially the food and the beer, to be grand marshal for a race? Didn't you learn your lesson with Kim Kardashian?
This move is as smart as Herman Cain if he attended a National Organization of Women meeting. Just plain stupid.
