Let The Bashing Of GOP Presidential Candidates Begin

I'm not a fan of Chris Christie though I used to be.
But the bashing of potential Republican presidential has begun.
From the Chicago Tribune: In September, according to a report from the Bergen Record, paramedics trying to reach an unconscious 91-year-old woman in Fort Lee, N.J., got stuck in a traffic jam that had apparently been created by associates for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as retaliation against a Democratic mayor.
Multiple lanes were forced to merge into one, gridlocking traffic for days. The woman later died at a hospital of cardiac arrest, according to a Sept. 10 letter that EMS coordinator Paul Favia sent to the borough's mayor.
Although Favia did not explicitly blame the woman's death on the traffic delay -- the paramedics got to her in seven minutes -- it was one of four such delays reported by the coordinator, the Record reported.
"Paramedics were delayed due to heavy traffic on Fort Lee Road and had to meet the ambulance en-route to the hospital instead of on the scene," Favia wrote.
Christie had insisted he and his staff had nothing to do with the lane closings. Emails released on Wednesday, however, showed that at least one of his top aides was involved in discussions about the closures weeks beforehand.  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-chris-christie-bridge-scandal-20140108,0,4169085.story
So, the paramedics got to the woman in 7 minutes- that's pretty good time for ambulances and the lady's death had nothing to with the delay in the ambulance.  And ambulances meeting other ambulances is nothing new the EMS field, so that part of the story is a non-story.
And multiple lanes being forced down 1 lane... Welcome to Las Vegas and other cities that have traffic problems and construction.
So, this just another non-story but these stories will be reported on, against Republican candidates for president, up until the presidential election.
And the media will be silent about all the Hillary Clinton scandals.
Nothing new here, just media bias as usual.  And surprising, in the Tribune article, no author was mentioned.  Gee what a shock that the writers are cowards.

  1. Whoops! Nope, Dan, this isn't a non-story. This is a story about political retribution for a perceived slight that had real-world consequences and could have been much worse (they'd have no way to know). Kids trapped on school busses for hours, 4 days in a row? That doesn't get you? They shut down all but one lane on one of the busiest bridges to New York for spite. And then Christie tried to hand-wave it away, and denied (9 times!) that his office had anything to do with it!

C'mon, if this was Obama, you'd be typing in all caps!

By the way, nnnnooooooo, the press wasn't silent about Hillary Clinton scandals, they were fodder for years.
