Sharron Angle has decided to run for the congressional seat being vacated by Dean Heller in Nevada.
From the Las Vegas Sun: In a quick move to end Nevada’s favorite parlor game, former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle released a YouTube video this morning announcing her intention to run for the congressional seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev.
Angle, who made a national name for herself in her failed bid to take out Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., last year, has been widely expected to run for office. But Angle’s outsider status made it difficult for the political establishment to pinpoint in which race she would land—U.S. Senate, the 2nd Congressional District, or even the presidential primary. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/mar/16/sharron-angle-will-seek-dean-hellers-house/
Well, apparently, I am smarter than the political establishment as I predicted this.
But having said that, angle has a huge war chest, about $1 million, so she will have the advantage there.
Further, if she gets a better political team, she will be hard to beat. But if she uses her old team, which was extremely incompetent, she will have no chance.
But, whoever wins the GOP primary, Angle included, they will be a shoo in to get the win. The Dem's just don't anybody other than Ross Miller who can win a statewide race (the 3rd Congressional district encompasses all of northern and central Nevada except for parts of the Las Vegas Valley. It essentially is a statewide race)
My guess is she will get some stiff competition from the likes of Brian Krowlicki and other conservative GOP candidates.
So, bring it on Sharron Angle. The Dem's have nothing for you. You just have to worry about others in the GOP.

She's BANANAS, but hey, if she's the best we've got, she's all we deserve, I guess.
ReplyDelete"We've got"? Are you coming over to the dark side, Jamie?
ReplyDeleteIf I lived in CD3,and if
Ross Miller ran, I'd vote for him.
