Petty Little Tyrant Obama Closes Veterans Center

From jsonline: Veterans service organizations have been notified that beginning Tuesday, the Milwaukee Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be closed to the public because of the federal government shutdown.
As a result, veterans seeking to process disability claims will be restricted to contacting VA representatives by telephone, letter or email. Appeals in the process will be suspended, according to a statement from the Wisconsin American Legion.
"Congress's failure to achieve a funding solution has now led to a warning that VA benefits will be suspended if the standoff continues," Wisconsin American Legion and State Commander Ken Rynes said in a statement.
"The threat to veterans benefits is not only cruel but absurd," Rynes said.
VA officials anticipate claims processing and payments in compensation, pension, education and vocational rehabilitation programs will continue through late October but acknowledge these programs would be suspended when funding is exhausted.

And I wonder what Felony Thief Dina Titus thinks about the VA closing and falling even further behind in dealing with cases that are backlogged into the hundred's of thousands.
