From today's LVRJ: “It’s closed. It’s gone,” said Reid, who is up for re-election in November. “I’ve been saying that for a long time, that it is gone. But it is finally gone.”
Euphoria over the dump’s demise is tempered by the further loss of jobs in Nevada that is certain to follow.
“I feel very bad that people are losing their jobs,” Reid said. “But the alternative would have been more people in our service industry losing their jobs.”

Earth to Harry, first, the service industry has lost thousands of jobs and it had nothing to do with Yucca. Second, if Yucca is opened , the service industry will not lose jobs. Very few people will stop coming to Vegas because of Yucca, but we would have more employees at Yucca and they would spend their money in Vegas and surrounding communities, thus increasing the number of service employees.
What are the odds we would have the worst president AND the worst Nevada senator ever at the same time?
