Shaquille O'Neal is going to race Dale Earnhardt Jr. this week in Concord, NC. From ESPN: "Now that we have that straight, the conversation turns to Wednesday's shooting of ABC's "Shaq Vs." Earnhardt, who has agreed to take on NBA star Shaquille O'Neal in a stock car race at the half-mile Concord (N.C.) Speedway, is asked whether he can win that race, which is expected to be aired sometime in August.
"I should be able to," he says.
Told it would be bad if he lost to the 7-foot-1, 325-pound center, Earnhardt smiles and says, "He's going to get a handicap. It's going to depend on who plays the best poker hand sandbagging prior to the race." http://espn.go.com/racing/blog/_/name/newton_david/id/5305761/junior-joker-road-race-prowess
Considering Shaq is 7'1 and weighs 325 on a good day, how is he going to fit in a race car? Are they going to build the race car around him? How are they going to get him out? I just hope they have good shocks and springs in the car because of the extra weight.
But don't sell Shaq short (sorry about the horrible pun), but Shaq is a police officer and probably has taken the police cars out for a test drive at a track to practice high speed pursuits. So, there is some hope for him. Of course, since Dale Jr. has problems finding his pit at times, maybe he will have problems finding the race track.
