From Madison.com: Thousands of protesters rushed to the state Capitol Wednesday night as word spread of the hastily called votes that sent Gov. Scott Walker's controversial bill limiting collective bargaining rights for public workers speeding through the Legislature.
Shortly after 8 p.m., hundreds of protesters gathered outside the locked King Street entrance to the Capitol, chanting "Break down the door!" and "General strike!"
Moments later, police ceded control of the State Street doors and allowed the crowd to surge inside. The area outside the Assembly, which is scheduled to take the bill up at 11 a.m. Thursday, was jammed with protesters who chanted, "We're not leaving. Not this time."

First, why the hell did the cops let these thugs inside the capitol? The Capitol Police Department chief needs to be fired immediately.
Further, the goons invaded the Assembly area, where the Assembly will vote on restriciting collective bargaining. This is will ensure that there will be arrests and riots, if the Assembly wants to vote tomorrow.
The action by these thugs is anti-democractic. If they don't allow a vote tomorrow, then these thugs are anti-American.
One hopes that there will be no arrests or riots, especially now that the bill is about to pass. But now, the liberals will be desperate and like a cornered animal, they will strike. Hopefully, this will not happen, but we do know, the liberals will be cryiong like a bunch of babies.
Here is your typical Wisconsin liberal:
Blessed and Merry Christmas!

Dan, the Capitol is supposed to be open to the public when the legislature is conducting business. Claiming the building is closed while a vote is going on is a clear violation of Wisconsin's Open Meetings Law (in addition to the lack of proper notice).
ReplyDeleteI don't buy that, Jill. That may be true in normal times, but the Dem's and the protesters have changed the rules. Safety has to come first and foremost. The protesters werew violating many of the safety rules.
ReplyDeleteThe capitol is also supposed to be cleared at night but the protesters didn't follow that rule.
So, why is that only the GOP has to follow the rules and the liberals and Dem's don't?
