Red Flag Warning for Southern Nevada

On Tuesday, there is a Red Flag warning for southern Nevada. Conditions are ripe for wild land fires.
Normally, this would be no big news. But on a day trip to Caliente, NV, we brought along some fireworks. We set one off and it landed in a bush, causing the bush to start on fire. After throwing dirt and water on the bush, we decided it wasn't a good idea to continue and we learned a good lesson.
So, be careful out there, with the winds whipping up, the high temperatures and the very low humidity, you can have a recipe for disaster.
BTW, if you are ever in Caliente. the Kershaw-Ryan State Park is a nice one day trip- especially if you have little kids. It is scenic, a nice 1.5 mile hiking trail, a clean wading pool, a beautiful picnic/cookout area and it is about 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. It's a nice day trip.
