Color Me Shocked

I was just shocked, I tell you shocked when Matt "Jerry Sandusky" Ward wrote this:
"A few others I’d like to mention are the medical marijuana bill, SB 374, and the tax credits bill for the film industry, SB 165. The pot bill passed a hurdle in the Senate on Thursday when it got out of committee. It then passed out of the Senate 17-4 and is in the Assembly. I hope this measure passes. I think pot should probably be legal for even recreational use among adults..."  http://pvtimes.com/news/from-the-editor-real-legislative-battle-about-to-begin/
Given that Ward is a pot smoker, I am not surprised at his views.

Tell Me Again Why Yucca Mountain Was Closed?

From the Pahrump Valley Times:
Pahrump Town Manager Bill Kohbarger said he had two different impressions before and after a special presentation on the transportation of radioactive nuclear waste through the heart of Pahrump.
On Tuesday evening, Nye County Nuclear Waste Repository Office consultant Dr. Michael Voegele provided an in-depth look at the logistics involved in transporting waste to the Nevada National Security Site NNSS .....
Radioactive materials classified as high level according to Voegele has a specific site where it can be legally stored now that a Yucca Mountain repository is uncertain.
“I can’t tell you there is a place to put it. If it is classified as high-level nuclear waste, it has to go into a repository and right now, we don’t have one of those. Yucca Mountain would be the proper place to put this material. I won’t make the argument that it is closed. Legally, Yucca Mountain is a designated repository but Harry Reid because of his position in congress has been able to stop that process from going forward. I don’t call it closed because we have lawsuits that we think we will win that will restart the process,” he said.
At present, he suggested that high-level nuclear waste will end up being stored at the Nevada Test Site, which happens to be designated for low level waste.....
Kohbarger, noted that such shipments could possibly benefit the town economically.
“It can create jobs and revenue for the town of Pahrump. Someone’s going to build a truck stop; 25,000 transports each year for 250 days at 10 trips a day. Can you imagine if we just got half of them to stop for fuel or food? It will generate revenue for some businesses in this community. John Pawlak from the Nuclear Waste Advisory Board said he we could get money for allowing the trucks to drive through the community and I’m sure the feds would do that. When I looked into it in Carlin, they were going to give us a million dollars a year for seven years to let the trains go through there. We used that money to purchase public safety equipment,” he said.
Voegele, meanwhile, provided some sobering facts about exactly how Uranium decomposes once it is eventually stored away.
“The most common naturally occurring Uranium element is Uranium 238 and it has a half-life of 4.5 billion years. Uranium 233 has a half-life of 159,000 years. By and large it is an extraordinarily long time,” he said.
Voegele echoed Kohbarger’s position that that the safe transportation of the waste has a potential economic benefit for the town.
“How many of those trucks can stop for fuel in Pahrump? That is the question that could be asked. A bypass around town could detract from commerce in Pahrump,” he said.   http://pvtimes.com/news/25000-nuclear-waste-shipments-through-town-each-year/
One of the big reasons why Yucca was shut down was because of transportation concerns but now it seems there is very little, if any concern for the transportation of the urnanium and it might have some positive economic impacts for Pahrump.

Sheriff Joe Wins Again

Sheriff Joe is to liberals as Obama is to conservatives.  Neither side can bring the other down.
From the Arizona Republic: Organizers fell short Thursday in gathering the required number of valid signatures to recall Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The grass-roots group Respect Arizona needed to submit 335,317 valid signatures by 5 p.m.
Lilia Alvarez, the group’s campaign organizer, said that more than 300,000 signatures were collected but that the group will not submit the petitions for a count “out of respect to voters and taxpayers.”...

Arpaio, in a released statement, said the group is declining to say exactly how many signatures were collected “because they are embarrassed by the level of their failure.”
He called the group’s reason for not turning over the signatures in order to save the county taxpayers money “a little disingenuous.”
“After months of name-calling, after the disparaging effigies and theatrics aimed at getting media attention to include even bringing chickens and protesters to my office repeatedly, this latest recall effort has failed,” Arpaio said. “This effort failed because the good people of Maricopa County, whom I’m honored to serve, rejected the wrong-headed idea of overturning an election.”
Arpaio was elected to his sixth consecutive term in November.
http://www.azcentral.com/news/politics/articles/20130530sheriff-joe-arpaio-recall-effort-fails.html?nclick_check=1
I'll bet a dollar to doughnuts that the organizers didn't even close the 300,000 signatures they claim to have and many of those, I'd be willing to bet were signed by illegals.

Brain Dead NV Legislators At It Again

Of all the problems Nevada has, this wasn't one of them.
From the LVRJ: William Hill U.S., which operates 84 sports betting kiosks statewide, was evaluating its options Friday after the Nevada Assembly’s 41-0 vote to ban betting kiosks in bars, taverns and other establishments holding a restricted gaming license.
The vote Thursday in the Assembly was after Senate Bill 416 passed 18-3 last week in the state Senate. The updated gaming regulation will go into effect on July 1, if Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval signs the veto-proof bill as analysts expect.
“We will review the bill when we receive it,” Mary Sarah Kinner, a spokeswoman for Gov. Sandoval, said in an email Friday.
William Hill and Cantor Gaming both offer sports betting kiosks to Nevada bars and taverns. The Nevada Resort Association’s position has been sports betting kiosks blurred the line between nonrestricted gaming, such as hotel-casinos, and restricted locations such as bars and taverns that are limited to 15 slot machines.
Virginia Valentine, president of the Nevada Resort Association, said it was never the intent of the gaming regulations to allow restricted locations to offer sports betting. She said sports books have always been limited to nonrestricted locations.
Cantor Gaming, a Las Vegas-based division of the financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., declined to comment. William Hill issued a statement Friday expressing its disappointment with the Assembly’s vote to approve the measure.
“We are disappointed that the Nevada legislature has passed this bill,” the Las Vegas-based subsidiary of William Hill PLC said in a statement. “As technology continues to move forward, Nevada is now taking a major step backward.”
William Hill said the Nevada Gaming Control Board determined that “these kiosks complied with the regulations and approved the installation of each of them.”   http://www.reviewjournal.com/business/casinos-gaming/william-hill-considering-options-after-sports-betting-kiosk-ban
Just another example of the big resorts going after the little guys in the business.

A Very Sad Day In Houston

From the Houston Chronicle:
Four firefighters died in a five-alarm blaze that broke out at a restaurant Friday afternoon along U.S. 59 in southwest Houston, according to the mayor's office.
An arson explosive task force is now involved in the investigation at the scene of the fire, said Franceska Perot, spokeswoman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
"I can confirm four firefighters have passed away, and we cannot release their names at this juncture," said HFD Chief Terry Garrison, who was meeting with families of the fallen.
Five firefighters were also reported injured, two critically, while fighting the blaze.
The fire broke out at Bhojan Restaurant at 6855 Southwest Freeway at about 12:09 p.m. and engulfed the neighboring Southwest Inn along the Southwest Freeway near Hornwood, according to the Houston Fire Department. The flames also burned a sports bar and disco.
Jeff Caynon, president of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, said he understood from field reports that the firefighters had been injured in a roof collapse.
"The roof collapsed. I don't know if that was folks outside next to the structure or inside when it collapsed, but the collapse is going to be the cause," Caynon said.

As a former firefighter, it saddens me when these things happen.
RIP firefighters, prayers to family, friends and the HFD

I can Think Of At Least 2 He Didn't Get

From the Christian Post: The Catholic Church's top exorcist, who claims to have sent 160,000 demons back to hell, says he wants Pope Francis to allow all priests to start performing the ritual to deal with a rising demand for exorcisms from the faithful.
Father Gabriele Amorth, 88, who also heads the International Association of Exorcists, told The Sunday Times that he will ask Pope Francis to allow all priests the right to do exorcisms without the church's approval. According to the report, priests currently need special approval from their bishop to perform the rite and it is rarely granted.
"I will ask the pope to give all priests the power to carry out exorcisms, and to ensure priests are properly trained for these starting with the seminary. There's a huge demand for them," said Father Amorth.

Who Steals A BBQ Grill When It Is Still Hot?

I don't know, but someone stole our BBQ grill last night when the grill was still hot with coal.
Buttheads and I hope they explode in flames as they stand next to our grill as our grill seeks revenge.

Pawn Stars Review: May 30, 2013

Another new season for Pawn Stars, just in time for summer.  Today, it got up to 102 degrees in Las Vegas.
The Pawn Stars and the History Channel go on trial against a former manger with the manager suing everybody in the shop and the History Channel for breach of contract.
In the first episode, they introduce their new opening and theme song:

Seriously, is that the best they could come up with, especially the music?  For the record, they are walking by Fremont st.
The story line is Rick's birthday and what they should give him.
The first guy brought in a Benjamin Air Pistol.  It basically is a BB gun.  The guy wanted $600 and Rick offered $75.  The guy went down to $200 and Rick went up to $140 and there was no sale.
With Rick's birthday, they played a few pranks like breaking his chair and then they threw a surprise birthday.  Rick's gift was a gift certificate for a guitar fantasy camp with Roger Daltry of the Who.
http://www.rockcamp.com/rrfc-1-23-13.php
The next guy came in with wind up toys from the 1920's also some Disney Characters.
If you look closely, the Old Man has a new hairdo.
The guy wanted up to $5000.  Time for an expert.
Johnny came as the expert and said the collection was very good and worth about $2500.  The Old Man offered $1600 and the guy came back with $2100 and the Old Man offered $2000 and that was the selling price.
The next woman brought in 1800's tonsillectomy tools.   The person bringing them is a repeat customer, Dr. Dahlia, who is also a radio talk show host: http://doctordaliah.com/
Dr. Dahlia gave a kind of gross explanation about the tonsils and their removal.
Dr. Dahlia wanted $1100 and Corey offered $500 and She came back with $1000 and Corey came back with $700 and the selling price was $800.
At the fantasy camp for fantasy singers, Rick was filmed singing "My Generation".... good thing he has a day job.  They gave him some singing lessons.  In the end, Rick played with a band, including Roger Daltry.  In the end, Roger gave Rick an autographed guitar.
Based on what I have seen, it looks like Rick has gained weight and Chumlee lost weight.

In the 2nd episode, the first guy brought in  a F-16 flight suit.  Instead of the G-suit, which the pilots wore in the planes (pictured above, it was the walking around suit the pilots wore.  FYI, the F-16 is what the USAF Thunderbirds used to fly, until they were grounded by Obama.
The guy wanted $500 and Rick offered $300.  The problem was flight suits were used by civilians instead of military personnel and so it was worth less. Rick offered $325 and that was the sale price.
The next guy brought in a tape recording between the seller and John F. Kennedy. The man also had documentation to prove the tape was real.  JFK wanted to know about the problems in 1963 Birmingham, AL.  The guy wanted $100,000.  Time for an expert, Mark from Clark County Museum.  They went to Clark County Museum in Henderson, NV.  Mark's beard has gotten a whole lot thicker and a more gray.
Mark, Rick and the seller all listened to the tape.  Mark thought there were other tapes available.
For the first time, Mark actually talked about value of a product and he has never done that before.  he always said it was between Rick(or whoever) and the seller.
Because of what Mark said, there was no sale as Rick didn't want to buy it.
The next guy brought in a old chemistry set from 1936.  Included in the directions, it told how to make gun powder.
The kit had several different chemicals.  The guy wanted $150 and Corey offered $45.  $60 was the selling price.
The next guy brought in a sterling silver baby rattle fromt he 1800's.  It had the Cat in the Fiddle and the Cow Jumped Over the Moon engraved n it and it came with a whistle and a smell bell.  But Rick said it was fake and so no sale.
That ends the new episodes of Pawn Stars.
Thanks for stopping by and please stop by next week.

Another Reason Not To Trust E-Bay

From the New York Daily News:
Looking for a one-way ticket to heaven?
Too late.
Ebay has pulled a New Jersey man’s auction for his “Portion in Olam Habaah (Heaven),” right after one eager bidder reportedly placed $100,000 on the table.
Ari Mandel isn’t too surprised.
“It was nice to fantasize," Mandel told The Jewish Forward.  “But I didn’t think it was going to happen.”
The enterprising 31-year-old posted the prime spot on the auction website Tuesday morning. The winner would have received two signed contracts — one guaranteeing Mandel’s “timeshare” in the skies and another promising that Mandel would keep the spot open by staying free from sin.
He assured bidders that he had lived a life full of Mitzvos (good deeds), never worshipped false gods and is still 98% vegan.
Bidding started at a humble 99 cents and reached six figures within a few hours.
That’s when the wrath of eBay moved in. The internet giant struck down the post after receiving numerous complaints from people who thought Mandel’s flippant theology was deeply offensive.

What's even more surprising is that some guy offered $100,000.
Harry Reid, what were you doing on E-Bay?

Chicago Thugs Go Wild While Obama Is In Chicago

Welcome to Obama's Chicago:
From the Chicago Tribune: Three people were killed and six others wounded in shootings on the South Side this afternoon and evening, authorities said.
The most recent slaying happened about 6:48 p.m. when a male victim was shot dead on the 7500 block of South Carpenter Street, according to Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien. There was no information available immediately about the circumstances leading up to the attackhttp://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-chicago-shootings-violence-2-shot-on-far-south-side-20130529,0,6107595.story
Just another Wednesday in Obama's Chicago.
And, oh by the way, Obama was in town today.

Yeah, Harry Knew

Harvey Whittemore And Harry Reid
From me, via Jon Ralston:  ....found I had missed a couple of spouses, but I also decided to research some other names and found out the total is not $142,600," including the Harvey and Annette contributions,as the RJ just reported, but at least $147,200. That is, I can account for that much -- I assume the RJ simply was spoon-fed a new number after I posted this originally. The RJ also has yet to show how obvious it must have been to Harry Reid's campaign folks -- the $147,200 is just under 70 percent of the total reported that one day -- 64 out of 104 contributions. I have left the rest of the blog post below intact, except for updating the list, explaining who I added and amending the orginal numbers.
So how obvious is it that Harvey Whittemore bundled six figures to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on one March day in 2007?

Very....
“On that day, Reid's campaign received at least $115,000 from about two dozen Whittemore employees and their family members, most of whom each contributed the maximum allowed $4,600, according to federal campaign reports. The employees also included Whittemore family members.”

http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2012/02/ralstons-going-to-pay-for-this.html
And this:But Whittemore was also a large donor to Reid. Whittemore and his family gave over $50,000 to Reid and his leadership fund over the last decade. Reid’s sons also received contributions for their campaigns. (13)
So they obviously came to an agreement: Whittemore poured money into Reid’s campaigns and Reid cleared the obstacles, allowing Whittemore to develop land for housing that was previously thought impossible to develop.
Reid inserted language in a land management bill that reallocated the power line corridor. Regarding the tortoise issue, he persuaded the Bureau of Land Management to swap that part of the property for land adjacent to the property. Then he persuaded the EPA to lesson their opposition to the project on grounds that it impacted the ecosystem of the area.   http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/search?q=coyote+springs
And how about this: All four of Reid’s sons have worked for Lionel Sawyer & Collins, a firm that also employs John Dawson, an expert in transferring assets offshore.....
The Reno managing partner of Lionel Sawyer & Collins is Frederick Whittemore, whose clients have included casino mogul Steve Wynn, identified in a Scotland Yard report as a front man for the Genovese Mob family and connected to some high profile drug dealers. (52)  http://www.westernjournalism.com/exclusive-investigative-reports/harry-reids-dirty-laundry/
And who is Frederick Whittemore?
None other than Harvey Whittmore:
F. Harvey Whittemore was born in Carson City, Nevada, in 1952, and was raised in Nevada and Arizona. He graduated from Sparks High School in 1970.[13] Harvey and his wife, Annette Whittemore, met in college and married in 1973.[13] Whittemore attended the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a law degree from Arizona State University.[1]
Whittemore's first experience with politics was the 1978 Nevada gubernatorial race, during which he established contacts in the Nevada political scene. He was hired by the law firm Lionel Sawyer & Collins as a lobbyist, where he advanced to senior partnership.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Whittemore
Whittemore hired Reid's 4 sons, donated money to Reid's sons.  Whittemore and Reid are about as close as Siamese twins.

1 Coward Protecting Another Coward

Unbelievable: At 9:00 PM, the Las Vegas Sun has completely knocked the conviction of Harry Whittmore giving illegal campaign contributions to Coward/Senile/Liar Harry Reid.
This is the biggest corruption scandal in the past few years and the Sun doesn't think it's news?
Or maybe, the owner of the Las Vegas Sun, Coward Brian Greenspun is protecting Coward Harry from the publicity.
A Coward protecting another Coward.

Now, Go After Reid

From the LVRJ: Harvey Whittemore, once a high-powered lobbyist who became a fixture in Nevada politics, was convicted Wednesday of unlawfully funneling more than $133,000 in campaign contributions to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Following roughly seven hours of deliberations over two days, a federal jury found Whittemore guilty of three felony counts: making excessive campaign contributions, making contributions in the name of another, and causing a false statement to be made to the Federal Election Commission.
The jury reported that it was hopelessly deadlocked on the fourth count, making a false statement to the FBI. Senior U.S. District Judge Larry Hicks declared a mistrial on that count. Prosecutors would not say afterward whether they would seek to try Whittemore again on the charge.
Hicks set a Sept. 23 sentencing for Whittemore, who was allowed to remain free on his own recognizance.
Whittemore, 59, an attorney who became a wealthy developer after giving up his lobbying career, showed no emotion as the guilty verdicts were read at the close of the two-week trial.
But at a news conference at his lawyers’ offices, a confident Whittemore remained defiant, promising an appeal.....
Whittemore was indicted in June following an intense FBI investigation into his 2007 fundraising efforts for Reid, his longtime friend. The investigation was first reported by the Review-Journal.
Federal prosecutors alleged that Whittemore met with Reid at an upscale restaurant on the Strip in February 2007 and promised to raise $150,000 for the Nevada Democrat’s re-election campaign.
Whittemore hatched the scheme days before the March 31, 2007, campaign contribution deadline without Reid’s knowledge in a desperate attempt to fulfill his promise to the senator, one of the most powerful members of Congress, prosecutors alleged.
Whittemore was accused of giving money to 29 family members and employees of his former development company, Wingfield Nevada Group, and then using them as “conduits” for illegal contributions to Friends for Harry Reid....
A handwritten note from Reid thanking Whittemore for the contributions was introduced by prosecutors into evidence. In the note, Reid called Whittemore his “friend for today and for all tomorrows.”
The prosecution alleged that Whittemore duped the Reid campaign committee into believing the contributions came from the individuals. Reid was not called to testify at the trial. And he didn’t return phone calls to his office seeking comment Wednesday.
Whittemore actively participated in his defense but did not testify.
Gentile told the jury in his closing argument that Whittemore did not “knowingly” violate campaign contribution laws and did nothing to hide his efforts to raise money for Reid. Whittemore, an experienced campaign fundraiser, would never put his family and trusted employees in “harm’s way,” Gentile argued.   http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/crime-courts/whittemore-convicted-making-unlawful-campaign-contributions-reid
If anyone believes that Reid and/or his staff didn't know about the illegal fundraising, then they are living on Fantasy Island.  If Reid didn't know about the illegal contributions, then why would he have written a note after all the money is written.
Reid and his staff know everything that goes on in Nevada politics.  If Sharron Angle took a potty break while campaigning when she ran against him, Reid would have known about it within 30 seconds.
But the Fed's won't investigate Reid, well, because look who is in charge of the Department of Justice, another Democrat criminal, Eric Holder.

"Because If You Change At My Age You Just Look Ridiculous"

Pope Francis explaining why he lives in a hotel rather than the Papal apartments.
From the Daily Telegraph: He lives in a suite of rooms in the residence, which sits in the shadow of St Peter's Basilica, on the other side of the Vatican city state to the apostolic apartments.
He explained his choice in a letter written two weeks ago to an old friend, Father Enrique Martinez, a priest at the Church of the Annunciation in La Rioja.
"I didn't want to go and live in the apostolic palace. I go over there just to work and for audiences.
"I've remained living in the Casa Santa Marta, which is a residence which accommodates bishops, priests and lay people." There he feels "part of a family" he wrote in the letter, which was obtained by Clarin, an Argentinian daily....
"I'm trying to stay the same and to act as I did in Buenos Aires because if you change at my age you just look ridiculous." The Pope, the first Jesuit pontiff in history and the first to come from the Americas, said his election was "something totally surprising" which he considers "a gift from God".
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/the-pope/10086876/Pope-Francis-shunned-official-papal-apartments-to-live-normal-life.html
Agreed.  Most people who try and change when they get much older look mostly stupid, which is why I don't plan on changing anytime soon.

Biology Final Exam Question

My daughter is in Honors Biology (clearly she didn't get her intelligence from my DNA) and this is one of the final exam essay questions:
"Describe the impacts of immigration and emigration on America's future population from now until the year 2100."
Huh?  How is this a biology question?

Reid Doped Slapped Again

DOPE SLAP!!!
From the Pahrump Valley Times: Nye County Commissioner Dan Schinhofen Monday repeated accusations quoted in the Las Vegas Review-Journal recently in which he called U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., a hypocrite over proposed nuclear waste shipments to the Nevada National Security Site.
That exchange occurred at a meeting of the NNSS advisory board. The newly-appointed county commission liaison on nuclear waste was quoted as saying, “what we’re concerned with is the sheer hypocrisy of Senator Reid, who said Yucca Mountain isn’t safe but is OK with putting this fissile material 40 feet underground. The hypocrisy stinks.”
The U.S. Department of Energy announced last month it was preparing to ship containers of highly radioactive, bomb-usable nuclear material for burial at the Nevada National Security Site. The 403 welded steel cannisters will contain uranium 233 co-mingled with uranium 235, atom-splitting material with byproducts that can be used to make a bomb. They require heavy shielding and are hauled only with remote-control cranes.
Shipments are scheduled to start this spring or summer and last through August 2014. The material isn’t as hot as the high-level spent nuclear fuel that would’ve been stored at Yucca Mountain, but the uranium measures 250 to 300 rem, as much as 1,500 times more radioactive than the low level waste usually buried at NNSS, formerly known as the Nevada Test Site.
The half life of the material is about 704 million years.
“This is not bomb grade material. The county commission should understand the difference between 403 canisters and 70,000 tons,” Reid’s spokesman said in response to Schinhofen’s comments.
During the last commission meeting, Schinhofen told the board, “Just so you all know the U-233, 235 issue is not something I’m letting pass by and we are working on trying to get it addressed. Senator Reid’s only answer is we should know the difference between 77,000 tons and 44 canisters. How that answers the question where weapons grade material is OK for 40 feet underground and Yucca Mountain is unsafe is unclear to me.”  http://pvtimes.com/news/schinhofen-blasts-reid-for-hypocrisy-over-shipments/
Lying/Coward/Senile Reid just doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.  If Reid was consistent, he would be opposed to all nuclear items being allowed into Nevada from outside sources, but he's not.  We are still the dumping ground for nuclear items and now that Reid/Obama has shut down Yucca Mountain, killing 10,000 jobs or more, we get no benefit.

Karma!!

From Firehouse.com: A shooting victim in cardiac arrest was being rushed to a hospital Wednesday afternoon when the D.C. ambulance broke down.
The man, a carjacking suspect, had been shot by police, according to WJLA.com.
Police said an officer, originally believed to have been shot, was wounded in the incident. But, they didn't say how he was hurt.
The carjacking victim flagged down officers, who later found the vehicle, the station reported.
The ambulance transporting the suspect broke down on I-295, and another had to be sent to continue the transport. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
It's not been determined if the delay affected the outcome.   http://www.firehouse.com/news/10951188/dc-ambulance-breaks-down-with-ca-patient-aboard
A guy carjacks a car, scaring the hell out of the owner, gets hot by the cops and then his mode of transportation to the hospital is broken down and in the end, the world is free of his DNA.
The only thing better would be if the ambulance was ambojacked.

See The Resemblence?

You have to use your imagination a little bit.
From the Daily Telegraph:
Bemused motorists took photographs of the huge JCPenney billboard advertising the kettle as they drove past it on the 405 Interstate highway near Culver City in California, one of America's busiest stretches of roads.
"That Hitler looks like a kettle," commented one user of Reddit, one of the several websites where the image was posted over the weekend.
"He even has his right arm extended," wrote another, while a third added: "I'm a little Nazi, short and stout".
Things that look Hitler have become a popular web meme - with the genre perhaps defined by the house in Swansea that bears an unsettling resemblance to the Nazi Fuhrer.
The kettle - officially the Michael Graves Design Bells and Whistles Stainless Steel Tea Kettle - retails for £35.08 on the JCPenney website, and can be delivered to the UK.   http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10084348/Kettle-that-looks-like-Hitler-brews-trouble-for-JCPenney.html
Of course it could be Charlie Chaplin.
Someone in marketing is going to be in trouble.

Or It Could Be His Mistress

I am of the belief that President Obama has a mistress (no joke) and more evidence came out today.
From the New York Daily New:
President Obama's moved on from kissing babies to kissing cougars.
Hours after schmoozing with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on the Jersey Shore, Obama showed up to a White House event Tuesday evening with a lipstick smear on his shirt collar.
The President made it clear it wasn't First Lady Michelle Obama who left the smudge, but an audience well-wisher.
Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/obama-jokes-lipstick-smear-collar-white-house-event-article-1.1357089#ixzz2UekAshS4
Umm, yeah, except when you read more, Obama really didn't know who caused the lip stick smear.  Maybe his mistress is visiting from Las Vegas?

Planned Parenthood Is In China?

Apparently a woman took some advice from Planned Parenthood as she tried to flush her baby down a toilet.
From the San Fran Chronicle: A 22-year-old woman who raised the initial alarm about a newborn trapped in a sewer pipe in China kept quiet about being his mother even as she watched the sensational two-hour rescue unfold, reports said Wednesday.
The woman, whose name was not revealed in state media reports, confessed to police a couple of days later when they asked her to undergo a medical checkup after searching her rented room and finding toys and blood-stained toilet paper, the state-run Zhejiang News website said.
Firefighters were called Saturday to the residential building in the Pujiang area of the eastern Zhejiang province city of Jinhua to rescue a baby trapped in the L-joint of a sewage pipe just below a squat toilet in one of the building's public restrooms.
Video of the rescue of Baby No. 59 — so named because of his incubator number in the hospital — was shown on Chinese news programs and websites starting late Monday and picked up worldwide, prompting both horror and an outpouring of charity on behalf of the newborn.
The single woman, a tenant in the building, told police she could not afford an abortion and secretly delivered the child Saturday afternoon in the toilet. She said the newborn slipped into the sewer line and that she alerted her landlord of the trapped baby after she could not pull the child out, Zhejiang News said.

Surprising the Chinese authorities let the mom be with the baby, under supervision.
Unfortunately, for Planned Parenthood, the baby survived and will make a full recovery.

Squirrel!!!!

From the Urban Dictionary: Squirrel: to squirrel, squirreling, the act of being distracted in the middle of--wow, something shiney!  http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=squirrel
How else do you describe Obama's visit to New Jersey today while he is the middle of so many scandals.  Of course, his BFFF (Big Fat Friend Forever) Chris Christie helped him with his squirrel moment, though it was funny that Christie kicked Obama's butt in a football throwing arcade game.
Tossing footballs at "Touchdown Fever," Obama was 0 for 5. Christie nailed it 1 for 1. Obama made a re-election remark to the Gov. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/touchdown-fever-arcade-jersey-obama-goes-0-5-christie-nails-it-first-try_731753.html
Here is the video of Obama being humiliated by Christie.  Afterwards, Obama wet home, beat the dog and kids in frustration.... at least the dog

Obama Even Pisses Off The New York Times

Wow, if you are a liberal and you piss off the New York Times so much that the Times defend a Fox News employee, you know you are in trouble.
From the NYT: With the decision to label a Fox News television reporter a possible “co-conspirator” in a criminal investigation of a news leak, the Obama administration has moved beyond protecting government secrets to threatening fundamental freedoms of the press to gather news.
The latest reported episode involves James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News. In 2009, Mr. Rosen reported on FoxNews.com that North Korea planned to launch a missile in response to the condemnation of its nuclear tests by the United Nations Security Council. The Justice Department investigated the source of the article and later indicted Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a State Department security adviser, on charges of leaking classified information. Mr. Kim pleaded not guilty.
Normally, the inquiry would have ended with Mr. Kim — leak investigations usually focus on the source, not the reporter. But, in this case, federal prosecutors also asked a federal judge for permission to examine Mr. Rosen’s personal e-mails, arguing that “there is probable cause to believe” Mr. Rosen is “an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator” in the leak....
The Rosen case follows other signs that the administration has gone overboard in its zeal to find and muzzle insiders. The Associated Press revealed last week that the government had secretly seized two months’ worth of records for telephones used by the agency’s staff, partly to determine the source of a leak about a report involving a foiled terrorist plot in Yemen. At least two other major leak investigations are continuing. Six current and former administration officials have been indicted under the old Espionage Act for leaking classified information to the press and public. In 2010, a federal judge in Maryland sentenced a leaker to 20 months in jail while admitting that he was “in the dark as to the kind of documents” involved in the leak or what impact they had on national security.
Obama administration officials often talk about the balance between protecting secrets and protecting the constitutional rights of a free press. Accusing a reporter of being a “co-conspirator,” on top of other zealous and secretive investigations, shows a heavy tilt toward secrecy and insufficient concern about a free press. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/22/opinion/another-chilling-leak-investigation.html?_r=0
Apparently, the Obama administration thinks this is the first time a reporter has tried to scoop the government and their competitors on a news stories.  Hell, even the NYT leaked secret information during the Bush administration.
But the Bush administration had more class and recognized that reporters have a job to do and didn't sic the DOJ on the NYT.  Bush was pissed to be sure, but he bit his lip, vented in public and that was it.
Obama has decided to make war with reporters who cross them apparently.
It's time for Eric Holder to resign or be impeached.  Why he still has a job is beyond me, except, I guess he is under qualified to sell  water bottlers on the Las Vegas Strip.  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/crime-courts/squeeze-strip-peddlers-tightens

Anti Job, Anti Energy Independent Dumbocrats At It Again

From Fox News: California is on the verge of a new gold rush. Expanded hydraulic fracturing -- or "fracking" -- at the Monterey Shale formation is sparking estimates that 15 billion barrels of oil could be accessed, along with millions of jobs and huge contributions to the domestic energy supply.
Even the state's green-friendly Democratic governor, Jerry Brown, says "the potential is extraordinary."
But standing in the way is a flurry of anti-fracking bills. At last count, 10 were on the table, all introduced by Democrats seeking tighter controls over the controversial technology.
Some of the measures take aim at how crude is extracted from rock layers beyond the reach of conventional drilling.
Others call for full disclosure of what chemicals are used in the high-pressure process, how they're removed, and where they're stored.
California State Sen. Fran Pavley, a longtime environmental activist, is pushing for a fracking moratorium until more studies are done on the potential risks, particularly to the groundwater supply.
"With hydraulic fracturing, hundreds of gallons of water, laced with chemicals, sand ... can go horizontally underground. ... We don't know enough," she said.
Fracking has been around in California for decades. It's a standard step in oil drilling, and while health problems have been reported in states like Colorado and Pennsylvania, the technology has a clean safety record in the Golden State. But critics argue it's virtually impossible to know exactly where, or how often, fracking operations are occurring.

Apparently the brain dead Dumbocrats from California have not heard what is going on in North Dakota?  All the fears the fraidy cats of California are not being realized in North Dakota.  Tehre are some problems, like over population in a rural area of the State but they are not having the enviormental problems the fraidy cats in California are afraid of.
And for a state that has horrible unemployment rates, this will be a boon for them.
Idiots.

Obama's Chicago

From the Chicago Tribune: Six-month-old Jonylah Watkins was fatally shot over a stolen video game console, Chicago police said Monday as they announced an arrest in a slaying that has come to symbolize the city's deadly gun culture.
Authorities charged Koman Willis, 33, with killing the infant and shooting her father while they sat parked in a minivan in the Woodlawn neighborhood on March 11. A bullet entered Jonylah's right shoulder and traveled down through her left thigh. She died the following day. Her father, Jonathan Watkins, survived multiple gunshot wounds.
Jonathan Watkins, 29, had been Willis' target "in retaliation for a stolen video game system," police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said. The animosity began after a game system was taken from Willis' Chatham apartment and sold to someone else in the neighborhood, according to law enforcement sources.
When the new owner hooked up the system at home, he saw it belonged to Willis, a fairly well-known figure in the neighborhood and a convicted felon with more than three dozen arrests dating to 1996. Not wanting any trouble, the new owner returned the game console to Willis and told him the nickname of the person he bought it from, one of the sources said. Willis then figured out that person was Watkins, the source said.
Willis began questioning people about Watkins, and a short time later he opened fire on Watkins' minivan as he sat with Jonylah in the front seat, police said. Willis then escaped in a blue conversion van spotted on surveillance video near the scene, according to authorities.  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-jonylah-watkins-person-of-interest-20130526,0,4573523,full.story
This is what you get when you have an Obama and a bunch of Obamaites running Chicago.

Good Question

Would you move into a house where a killing- suicide or murder in the house happened in the past?
From the Detroit Free Press: Kayla Bentley was thrilled to move into her in-laws’ house as a 19-year-old newlywed back in 2010.
That is until she found out that the unassuming house on a quiet street in Allen Park was where Justin Olszowy, a mentally unstable 26-year-old man, fatally shot his parents two years earlier.
“We were kind of upset about it,” she recalled. “It freaks me out, especially because in this situation, he’s not dead. If he was released or escaped, this is where he’d come.”...
Properties that were the sites of homicides or suicides have an interesting stain that remains long after crime-scene investigators leave. For some potential buyers, owning a home with notoriety gives them, well, notoriety. Others are freaked out by it.
In short: I see dead people — and lovely crown moldings.
“One group says, ‘I don’t want to have anything to do it.’ Another group says, ‘I’ll get the carpets cleaned. How much can I buy it for?’ ” explained Jason Abrams, owner of the Abrams Team based out of Keller Williams in West Bloomfield and star of HGTV’s “Scoring the Deal.”...
Under Michigan law, real estate agents aren’t obligated to disclose whether the property was or was suspected to have been the site of a homicide, suicide or illegal activity “which had no material effect on the condition of the real property or improvements located on the real property.”....
However, elsewhere in the country, some states, such as California, require would-be buyers to be told. (In the Golden State, that’s spawned a micro-industry of home cleansers who remove spirits from homes.)   http://www.freep.com/article/20130528/NEWS05/305280012/Homes-for-sale-where-murders-occurred

Federal asset forfeiture is both an effective crime-fighting tool and a civil-liberties nightmare that has victimized many innocent citizens, a Hearst investigation has found.
Fifteen federal agencies have the power to seize assets. Over the past dozen years, those agencies have taken more than $20 billion in cash, securities and other property from scruffy drug dealers, pinstriped Wall Street tycoons _ and ordinary Americans who have not committed crimes.
"The government is going seizure crazy," says attorney Philip Hilder, who formerly led the busy Houston field office of the Justice Department's organized crime strike force.
Seizures have grown more than 600 percent over the past decade.
Federal agents often pursue forfeiture through sealed documents _ or avoid the court system entirely by seizing assets without charging the owners with any crime, a procedure called "administrative forfeiture." The result: Thousands of cases each year where the feds take cash, guns or other items from U.S. citizens without a judge or jury.  http://www.chron.com/news/nation-world/article/Asset-forfeiture-both-an-effective-tool-4546043.php?cmpid=hpfsln
Every week in the Las Vegas Review Journal, I see court notices about money fortitures in Federal Court.
It makes you wonder if the Feds are taking money from criminals or innocent people, especially when no names are mentioned.

And His Nickname Is Lucky

From the Houston Chronicle:
Houston police are searching for the shooter who left a 36-year-old man dead outside a west Houston club this weekend.
Alexander Arias-Labrada was found with multiple gun shot wounds outside the Elvia's night club at the 2700 block of Fondren around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to the Houston Police Department.
Arias-Labrada and another man were thrown out of the club after fighting with each other. They then began fighting outside the club and Arias Labrada was knocked unconscious. While he was incapacitated, the other man drove up to him, exited his vehicle and shot him multiple times with an assault rifle, police said.
Arias Labrada died at the scene and the other man fled. http://www.chron.com/news/article/Gunman-sought-in-W-Houston-club-killing-4549726.php?cmpid=hpfsln

5 Second Social Studies For The Las Vegas Sun Editorial Board

Sometimes, when you hate the opposition so much, you end up looking like idiots.
Case in point, the Las Vegas editorial board, led by Coward Brian Greenspun, owner of the Sun.
From Sunday's editorial board of crack smoking editorial writers:
State Senate Majority Leader Mo Denis last week pulled a tax proposal that would have raised money for education. In an emotional speech, Denis said the plan didn’t have the support to pass.
“We are failing our children, kicking the can down the road,” the Democrat said. “Once again, we have put our partisanship over policies that can help today.”
When Senate Minority Leader Michael Roberson took the floor, he expressed his affection for Denis but then criticized him and his party for a lack of leadership.....

As we have noted before, Southern Nevada is the engine that fuels the state, yet it has been drained. The state can’t wait for another two years to prime the engine.
At this point, the governor needs to step in and provide the leadership needed to make a real impact this session. There’s no doubt the state’s antiquated tax system is broken and inequitable. It’s past time to fix it and give the state’s education system the real boost it needs, not the token offers that he has put forth. And, it shouldn’t be hard to do — the state has years of studies to refer to.
To do that, he’ll have to put down the stale rhetoric about no new taxes and potential harm a tax might do to the economy. Remember the reviled tax increase in 2003, the largest in state history at that time? It didn’t hurt the economy. Instead, the economy boomed.
And if Sandoval wants to win the hearts of voters in Southern Nevada, he needs to fix the inequities in the unconscionable way state and federal money is distributed.
Those types of actions may not make him or lawmakers popular with those who love the status quo, but it will make them heroes in the minds of real Nevadans who want to see a better future for our children.
So, because the Democrats can't lead, the crack addled writers blame the Republican governor.
So, here is the 5 second social studies lesson for the pot smoking liberals on the editorial board, and for liberals in Nevada in general:
The Nevada Assembly and Senate propose bills.
If a bill passes, the governor can sign or veto a bill.
If a bill is vetoed, the legislators can override the veto.
So, Sun writers, was that too hard to understand?
Yeah, I thought that was too hard to understand for most liberals.

2 Race Car Drivers Killed Near Reno

From the Reno Gazette Journal: Two race drivers were killed in a multi-car crash at the Reno Fernley Raceway near Fernley, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported Sunday.
Leroy Kay, 67, of Yerington, and David Richardson, 63, of Truckee, Calif., were killed during a race Saturday night on a dirt track at the raceway about 30 miles east of Reno, Lyon County deputy sheriffs said.
At least one other driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries, deputies said, and spectators were told to leave after the crash.
Kay’s longtime girlfriend, Donna MacGill, said the crash occurred during the main event for “dwarf” cars, which are small cars with motorcycle engines that can reach speeds over 100 mph.
MacGill, an eyewitness, said one car went out of control and smashed into the wall on the final lap at the finish line, causing a chain-reaction accident involving at least two other cars.
“One guy went into the wall and he spun around and I think he hit this other person, who in turn hit Leroy and those two people died,” she said. “It created a domino effect when the one car went into the wall, and it all happened so fast.”
Track owner Dan Simpson hung up Sunday morning on a reporter seeking details about the accident.

Damn That Obama

From the New York Daily News:
What a bust!
City strip clubs and other sailor-friendly businesses are bracing for limp sales this weekend due to the cancellation of Fleet Week.
“It definitely puts a tremendous damper on business,” groused Sam Zherka, owner of the famed Cheetahs Gentleman’s Club in Times Square.
“The last two years, we’d get hundreds of guys each night frequenting the Cheetah club.”
A Cheetah beauty named Jordan said she’d always count on the large groups of sailors — and their generous tips — in late May.
Not this year.
“What they can’t get out there, they get in here,” said Jordan, 32. “The girls were really disappointed. We were expecting them this year.”
Added 28-year-old Corrine: “They’re out at sea surrounded by men all the time. They really enjoy the company of young girls.”
Federal budget cuts sank the annual Fleet Week celebration for the first time in 30 years, depriving the city of an estimated $20 million in economic activity.
The hotly anticipated event — which costs the Navy up to $10 million — was slated to start May 23.
Instead of raking in cash, bar owners were crying in their suds Saturday over the absence of thousands of military men and women streaming into the city.
This time last year, hordes of crisply dressed sailors and Marines were filling bar stools at pubs like Hurley’s on W. 48th St., often with swarms of single ladies chasing after them.

She's A Brat, Not Hero

From the New York Daily News: A 9-year-old girl took on the head of McDonald's Corp. during the fast-food chain's annual shareholders meeting Thursday.
"It would be nice if you stopped trying to trick kids into wanting to eat your food all the time," said fourth-grader Hannah Robertson, who spoke up during the gathering's question-and-answer session.
"Something that I don't think is fair is when big companies try to trick kids into eating food that isn't good for them by using toys and cartoon characters," the girl said, reading from prepared remarks.
"If parents haven't taught their kids about healthy eating, then the kids probably believe that junk food is good for them because it might taste good," she added.
Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fourth-grader-hannah-robertson-accompanied-healthy-food-advocate-mom-told-ceo-mcdonald-company-annual-shareholders-meeting-article-1.1354106#ixzz2UIaa6TPY
This girl is nothing more than a spoiled brat looking for her 15 seconds of fame.
McDonalds is not trying to trick kids into buying their products, no more than any other company is doing so.
And who buys the kids their meals?  The kids?  Nope, it's the parents, 99% of the time.  And who brings the kids to McDonalds?  Parents.
And who puts these stupid ideas into this brat's mind?  More than likely, the parents.
McDonalds offers food that is good for you- salads, juices, chicken that is not fried, milk and more.  They also have food that is not good for you, if you eat the food everyday.
But the one thing the brat did learn is about not respecting your elders.  Even if she is right, and I don't believe she is, she disrespected an elder in public.
What's next?  Embarrassing a teacher in public?  Her parents?  A minister?  Obama?  Well, probably not him, as her parents probably brainwashed her about him.
It used to be, when we lived in caves, we respected people in public.  Obviously, this brat hasn't learned this lesson.

Riots In Sweden

From the UK Guardian: Police in Stockholm are to seek reinforcements after youths set cars ablaze and threw stones at police for a fifth night running, officials said.
About 30 cars were set on fire in poorer districts in north-western and south-western parts of the Swedish capital on Thursday night, with rioters causing widespread damage to property, including schools. However, a police spokesman said the overnight violence was less intense than in previous nights.
Despite Sweden's reputation for equality, the rioting has exposed a faultline between a well-off majority and a minority, often young people with immigrant backgrounds, who cannot find work, lack education and feel marginalised.
"In terms of extent, it is a little less, a little quieter," said the police spokesman, Kjell Lindgren. Eight people, mostly in their early 20s, were detained during the night.
He said police planned to request reinforcements from other areas to help deal with the rioting as well as upcoming football matches and the wedding of Princess Madeleine, third in line to the throne, on 8 June.
He said the police needed to be prepared to maintain a heavy presence on the streets. "We will do that for days, weeks, as long as it is necessary," he said.
The violence appears to have been prompted by the death of a 69-year-old man shot by police this month in Husby, now the centre of the rioting. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/may/24/stockholm-rioting-continues-fifth-night?guni=Network%20front:network-front%20main-3%20Main%20trailblock:Network%20front%20-%20main%20trailblock:Position8
Of course what the majority don't mention is those rioting are mostly, if not all, Muslim thugs immigrants.
This is what you get when you tolerate legal or illegal immigration from thugs who don't care about your laws and traditions and take advantage of your kindness.

Scandal: Obama Doesn't Salute Marine

Moments Before Marine Shipped Off To Afghanistan For Talking To Obama
Now we know Obama hates the military- he refused to salute a Marine when the Marine saluted Obama in the rain.
Knowing he mad a mistake, Obama went back and talked to the Marine, against protocol.  Now the Marine will be kicked off Obama duty and go to the front lines of Afghanistan where he has to take on the Taliban and Al'Qeda by himself, all because Obama engaged the NCO in conversation, against the rules of engagement.
Damn that Obama, always in scandal.

Now We Know Where Obama's Heart Lies- For Criminals

Not a surprise, mind you, but you would think Obama would have chosen both sides but...
From Fox News: A top Republican lawmaker blasted President Obama after he held an Oval Office meeting this week with illegal immigrants, despite having ignored recent requests for a sit-down from the union representing immigration officers.
“The fact that the president and the vice president are hosting illegal immigrants in the White House while constricting citizen tours and refusing to meet with immigration officers says it all,” Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said in a statement to FoxNews.com Friday.  “The White House will not even grant ICE officers a low-level White House meeting but invites illegal immigrants into the Oval Office.”

You know who are the happiest at all of this?
Jimmy Carter and probably Richard Nixon, Andrew Johnson, Herbart Hoover and Warren Harding- they now know that Obama is not only the worst, but occupies the top 10 places of being the worst president ever.  He's so bad that he occupies places 1-10 in the worst president ever category.

New Water Park Open In Las Vegas

From the Las Vegas Sun: Moments before the Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas water park opened on Friday, investor Roger Bulloch faced the crowd from a podium and realized his time was limited.
Kids in candy-colored swimsuits squirmed underneath the hot sun, while parents struggled to keep them still just a little bit longer. Behind Bulloch, water sprayed from the kid park and lifeguards in bright yellow shirts were settling into their posts at the top of the slides.
Bulloch knew what the kids were thinking; he had experienced the same thing as a kid, but he had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to do first.
“I know I’m standing between you and the water slides, so I’ll be quick,” Bulloch said.
After a brief speech from Bulloch, a word from Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager, as well as the ceremonial cutting of a swimwear-lined ribbon, the 41-acre park located on Fort Apache Road near the 215 Beltway was opened.
Children grabbed their friends and took off on a mad dash toward the tubes so they could be first in line for one of the 25 slides at the park, while lifeguards whistled and yelled at them to walk.

Wet N Wild is going to be a primarily a locals water park because it so far away from any casino or resort.
I know the family is looking forward to going, but I just worry about the lines- are they going to be Disney Land type lines or can you get through in a short line.  With my ADHD (undiagnosed), I hate standing in lines more than 10-15 minutes, so we will see how it is.
Also, will many people spend $25 or so a day in 110 degree heat to ride the rides and it doesn't look like there is much shade on the rides or where you wait.
I hope Wet N Wild succeeds, if for no other reason, it will be a good and cheap babysitter for many families in the Valley.

Who Cares, Sheriff Joe Slapped Down By Illegal Alien Loving Judge

From the LVRJ: A federal judge ruled Friday that the office of America’s self-proclaimed toughest sheriff systematically singled out Latinos in its trademark immigration patrols, marking the first finding by a court that the agency racially profiles people.
The 142-page decision by U.S. District Judge Murray Snow in Phoenix backs up allegations that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s critics have made for years that his officers violate the constitutional rights of Latinos in relying on race in their immigration enforcement.
Snow, whose ruling came more than eight months after a seven-day, non-jury trial, also ruled Arpaio’s deputies unreasonably prolonged the detentions of people who were pulled over.
The ruling represents a victory for those who pushed the lawsuit. They weren’t seeking money damages but rather a declaration that Arpaio’s office engages in racial profiling and an order that requires it to make policy changes.
“For too long the sheriff has been victimizing the people he’s meant to serve with his discriminatory policy,” said Cecillia D. Wang, director of the ACLU Immigrants’ Right Project. “Today we’re seeing justice for everyone in the county.”  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada-and-west/judge-rules-arpaios-office-profiles-latinos
Whatever, ACLU, you still think that illegals are fine upstanding citizens of this country when in fact, all are criminals, most commit other crimes and most are a drain on government and private monies.
Before anyone says that this idiot judge was a George W. Bush appointee, Bush is pro-illegal immigrant and the judge fits Bush's agenda.
Keep up the good work, Sheriff Joe, get rid of as many illegals as you can and throw fear into those who choose to stay.

Perp Walk (Sit)

Picture from the New York Daily News:

Residents say they found the two men sifting through their medicine cabinets and called the cops.

Two men got busted allegedly stealing from those who already lost everything.
Homeowners in tornado-ravaged Moore, Okla. found the suspects, both in their 20s, standing in the rubble of their home peering into their medicine cabinets.
The strange men claimed they were looking for survivors but the residents say they called the police after finding their possessions in the suspects' pockets.
Responding police found a bag filled with belongings from other devastated homes in the neighborhood, reported local station KWTV.
Police arrested the suspects, who have not been identified, at the scene at S.W. Seventh St. and Kings Manor.

This Shut Down The 95?

So, the U.S. 95, the 2nd busiest highway in Las Vegas gets shut down for a beer can?
From the LVRJ:
Things are not always what they seem, as Las Vegas police learned Wednesday afternoon when a suspicious device prompted the closure of the downtown portion of U.S. Highway 95
“It ended up being nothing,” said Las Vegas police spokesman Lawrence Hadfield.
The device, described as inert, was a cylindrical object with silver end-caps. Police did not specify exactly what the object was or what it contained. It was found by highway workers shortly before 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 95 near North City Parkway, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.
Authorities were alerted and by 1:30 p.m., more than two miles of U.S. 95, from Rancho Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard were blocked off as crews investigated the pipe-shaped object. Police also evacuated the parking garage of the Molasky Corporate Center as a precaution. The garage, adjacent to the highway, is also used by employees at the nearby Internal Revenue Service building.  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/traffic-transportation/us-95-reopens-after-closure-suspicious-device
The NHP is notorious for milking incidents and making the incidents last as long as possible and inconvenience the most people possible.
Perhaps they do it to collect overtime pay?

She Ought To Be Charged

From the San fran Chronicle: An 18-year-old Florida cheerleader is facing felony charges that she had sexual contact with her underage, 14-year-old girlfriend, leading gay rights advocates to say the teen is being unfairly targeted for a common high school romance because she's gay.
The criminal case against Kaitlyn Hunt is unusual because it involves two females, not an older male and a younger female. But advocates say older high schoolers dating their younger counterparts is an innocuous, everyday occurrence that is not prosecuted — regardless of sexual orientation — and not a crime on par with predatory sex offenses.
Hunt played on the basketball team with her younger girlfriend and shared the same circle of friends, said Hunt's mother, Kelley Hunt Smith. The two had a consenting relationship that began soon after Kaitlyn Hunt turned 18, and Hunt Smith said she assumed the younger girl's parents knew that.
But Hunt was kicked off the basketball team near the end of last year after the coach learned of the relationship because players were not allowed to date each other, her parents said. Then, in February, she was charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a child 12 to 16. The day before she was arrested, police and the younger girl's parents secretly recorded a phone conversation in which the two girls discussed kissing in the school bathroom, said Hunt's father, Steve Hunt.
"It's horrible. For my daughter's sexual preferences, she's getting two felony charges. It could possibly ruin her future," Steve Hunt told The Associated Press in a phone interview Tuesday.

There is a huge difference between a 14 year old, who is just coming from middle school to an 18 year who is about to graduate from high school.  It is physical, intellectual, emotional and intimidating.  A senior rules over a freshman and the freshman can be easily intimidated.
So, it sucks for the girl being charged, but she deserves to be charged.  If it ruins her future, so be it, don't go after freshman.  Guys can't do it, why should gay women?

Ben Stein Gets It

From Ben Stein and American Spectator:
Monday Now, let’s see what we are supposed to believe today from the Obama Ministry of Truth….
First, that Hillary Rodham Clinton could possibly be taken seriously as a Presidential contender or a President. This is the woman who traveled one million miles with no positive accomplishments as Secretary of State. This is the woman who masterminded one of the great foreign policy catastrophes of all time… aiding the “Arab Spring” in which governments friendly to the west in Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia were replaced with Islamists bent on destroying all human rights and the main repository of human rights on earth, The United States of America.
This is the woman who said, in what was supposedly total stone cold sobriety, “What does it matter how four Americans died in Benghazi? Whether they were killed by people walking down the street or by terrorists? They’re dead. So, what?” That’s a paraphrase.
Apparently, this future first female President does not realize that it matters because 1.) The killings themselves show that Mrs. Clinton was not doing her job properly, and 2.) Her lying about it was contempt of Congress and perjury and obstruction of justice.....
Well, we are supposed to believe that a massive assault by the IRS on a popular uprising called the Tea Party was known to the higher ups at the IRS, at the Justice Department, and at the White House.
But Mr. Obama, much too pure and innocent to be told about mistakes in his administration, was too busy bathing the feet of the poor and tending to lepers to be told that his administration was engaged in an Orwellian attack on free speech.
Now, you see if you fail to believe that, you are the worst thing that you can be in today’s world. You are a racist. You can be a homosexual. In fact, that’s a good thing. You can be a pornographer. In fact, you’re supposed to be a pornographer. You can kiss the butts of terrorists. That’s called leading from behind and abandoning American “exceptionalism,” a really wicked idea that America is exceptionally great. You can be all of these things. But no matter what, you cannot be a racist against blacks. (You can be a racist against whites.)
But if you criticize Mr Obama, you are a racist. Thus, quod erat demonstrandum, Mr. Obama cannot be criticized. So, he did not for a moment know that his IRS was tormenting the political movement that laid him low in 2010. And, if you doubt it, you’re a Klansman....
Let’s see what else we are supposed to believe….Oh, here’s the best one: that it’s fine, in fact, super fine, for a mother to kill a baby in the womb when it’s physically and mentally identical to a baby that’s just been born. That it’s fine to kill them if you don’t like their sex. But it’s anti-woman to want to keep them alive and not kill them because they are female babies.
And, it’s fine to kill 800,000 babies a year in abortion mills, but, it’s heinous to own a gun that you keep locked up in a closet and don’t even take out for years at a time and have never even aimed at a human being. That it’s urgently compelling to protect lizards in West Texas….but perfectly good — even a fine example of the progress women have made — to have women use abortion as a form of birth control.  http://spectator.org/archives/2013/05/21/from-the-obama-ministry-of-tru
Ben Stein is much more than an actor who says "Bueller".  He knows what he is talking about.

Coincidence?

From the American Spectator: For me, it’s about collaboration.” — National Treasury Employees Union President Colleen Kelley on the relationship between the anti-Tea Party IRS union and the Obama White House
Is President Obama directly implicated in the IRS scandal?
Is the White House Visitors Log the trail to the smoking gun?
The stunning questions are raised by the following set of new facts.
March 31, 2010.
According to the White House Visitors Log, provided here in searchable form by U.S. News and World Report, the president of the anti-Tea Party National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen Kelley, visited the White House at 12:30pm that Wednesday noon time of March 31st.
The White House lists the IRS union leader’s visit this way:
Kelley, Colleen Potus 03/31/2010 12:30
In White House language, “POTUS” stands for “President of the United States.”
The very next day after her White House meeting with the President, according to the Treasury Department’s Inspector General’s Report, IRS employees — the same employees who belong to the NTEU — set to work in earnest targeting the Tea Party and conservative groups around America. The IG report wrote it up this way:
April 1-2, 2010: The new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, suggested the need for a Sensitive Case Report on the Tea Party cases. The Determinations Unit Program Manager Agreed.
In short: the very day after the president of the quite publicly anti-Tea Party labor union — the union for IRS employees — met with President Obama, the manager of the IRS “Determinations Unit Program agreed” to open a “Sensitive Case report on the Tea party cases.” As stated by the IG report.
The NTEU is the 150,000 member union that represents IRS employees along with 30 other separate government agencies. Kelley herself is a 14-year IRS veteran agent. The union’s PAC endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles to anti-Tea Party candidates.  http://spectator.org/archives/2013/05/20/obama-and-the-irs-the-smoking
And yet we are supposed to trust the IRS with our taxes, ObamaCare, see who gets tax exempt status etc.
I still hold on to hope that the entire IRS is not corrupt.  Maybe it's just the leadership, maybe it's just a few rogue employees that are corrupt.  Or perhaps Obama or someone in administration ordered or highly suggested that conservatives be targeted.
Time for a special prosecutor.

Obama Continues To Heart Terrorists

From Fox News: The Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people and wounding 32 others during a shooting at Fort Hood has reportedly been paid more than $278,000 since the 2009 incident.
U.S. Department of Defense officials confirmed to NBCDFW.com that Maj. Nidal Hasan’s salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty in the Nov. 5, 2009, shooting in Texas, citing the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Jury selection in his trial is scheduled to begin May 30.

Meanwhile, the terrorist attack occurred about 3 1/2 years and the thug terrorist has not been to trial yet.
And the Obama still refuses to admit that this terrorist was actually a terrorist attack on U.S. grounds.  Sadly, Senile/Liar/Pathetic Harry Reid agrees with him.

Say What?

From Fox News: The Pentagon wants more than $450 million for maintaining and upgrading the Guantanamo Bay prison that President Barack Obama wants to close.
New details on the administration's budget request for next year and other expenses emerged on Tuesday. The cost of the facility that houses 166 prisoners indefinitely includes $200 million for military construction work that could stretch over a decade.
The request also includes $40 million for a fiber optic cable and millions more for military commissions at the facility in Cuba.
Since he took office in January 2009, Obama has pushed to close the prison but has faced opposition from Republicans and some Democrats in Congress. Obama is expected to renew his plea in a speech on counterterrorism on Thursday.

So, Obama wants to close down Gitmo but yet wants $450,000,000 for maintaining and upgrading Gitmo.
Is he insane or does he think the American people are insane.  Probably a little of both.

You Got To be Kidding Me

The Oklahoman Newspaper is Oklahoma's biggest newspaper located in Oklahoma City.  So, after yesterday's tornadoes, of all the news articles they could have run about heroes, first responders, the weather, Justin Bieber, the Oklahoman chose to run this completely idiotic and false article:
A deadly tornado hit suburban Oklahoma City on Monday. A quick look at some basic facts:
Q. Is global warming to blame?
A. You can't blame a single weather event on global warming. In any case, scientists just don't know whether there will be more or fewer twisters as global warming increases. Tornadoes arise from very local conditions, and so they're not as influenced by climate change as much as larger weather systems like hurricanes and nor'easters. They're not easy to incorporate in the large computer simulations scientists use to gauge the impact of global warming.   http://newsok.com/more-tornadoes-from-global-warming-nobody-knows/article/feed/544094
Considering that global warming is being shown to be a fraud day in and day out makes this article laughable.
But to bring up this topic the day that a bunch of kids and adults were killed, millions of dollars in damage, animals were killed and lives of thousands of people altered forever is just plain stupid.
