Pawn Stars Review: Hey, My Car Was On TV

The season premiere of Pawn Stars was tonight and the 2nd article to pawn was the very old muskatoon that was brought in the same day we were at the shop and blogged about. The Amish looking guy looking at the Lindbergh propeller is the curator of the Clark County Museum and also hosts a community channel TV talk show.
In the scene with the guy trying to sell the Willie Nelson key chain, in the outside scenes, I saw my car on TV. Now my car is more famous than I am. probably start getting an attitude.
In the 2nd show, a guy tries to pawn the Shelby Cobra car. Shelby is big in Las Vegas, as Shelby sponsored the NASCAR Sprint race in Vegas and they have a little cafe by the speedway.
One thing is different from what I have seen in my visits is the rack of clothes in the scenes. I've never seen a clothes rack in the store. Maybe they are trying to be the Wal-Mart of pawn shops?
In the kite flying scene, you get to see a typical park (minus the kite in the light pole) in Clark County and Las Vegas. We have a great park system in Clark County and in the City of Las Vegas. (for those who don't live here, Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, but in unincorporated, Clark County has more land and people in it). If it isn't the best park system in the country, it certainly in the top 10.
And that Shelby car. All I can say is WOW!!!

Stupid Lawyer And Concealed Carry

A Las Vegas attorney was arrested on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon after he broke out the back window of a vehicle of guy he was arguing with, by using a handgun to break the window.
From the Las Vegas Sun: "A fight Thursday morning led to the arrest of a Las Vegas attorney on two assault charges with a deadly weapon.
When Metro Police officers arrived at 5 a.m. Thursday to PT's Pub at 3470 East Sunset Road, they found a man with a gun who was subdued by two other men in the parking lot, according to an arrest report.
The men had been playing pool inside the pub and a fight broke out over $200 missing from the billiard table, a bartender told police.
Police learned that attorney Michael J. Amador of Las Vegas had been inside the pub with Charles Huggins and Nick Brannigan at the pool table when the argument began, the arrest report said.
Brannigan and Huggins left the bar with Amador following them. Huggins told police he got into his vehicle when he heard his rear window shatter. He then jumped out of his vehicle and saw Ramano Frediana, James Deutz and Brannigan holding down Amador, police said.
The arrest report indicates Brannigan had begun arguing with Amador in the parking lot when the attorney pulled a semiautomatic handgun from his waistband and struck the back of Huggins' vehicle, breaking the window.
Brannigan, Deutz and Frediana, who were in the parking lot, tackled Amador to the ground and secured the gun, police said. They held Amador until police arrived.
Police said the gun was registered to Amador and that he had a concealed weapons permit."

The first thing that occurred to me is that not much good goes on at 5:00AM, in a bar, even in Las Vegas.
And second, the lawyer is damn lucky and stupid at the same time. He was lucky he didn't accidentally shoot the gun as he was breaking the window and also lucky that another person didn't have another weapon and then he could have been shot.
Personally, I do not like guns but I support people who own them and behave responsibly. This attorney acted like an idiot and put people in danger. Concealed carry has saved many lives across the country but not in this case. I hope, that if he is convicted, he never again will be able to own a gun, much less have a concealed carry permit.

Binions To Close It's Hotel

Binions Gambling Hall and Hotel will soon have to change it's name to Binion's Gambling Hall. Today, Binions decided it was going to close it's hotel tower and layoff 100 employees. The last day of business is December 14th. My guess is that they did not have very many guests registered for Christmas and New Years so they closed early. The fact that the Golden Gate just opened up a 500 bed hotel tower last week didn't help matters.

Binions has had a colorful history in Las Vegas. Read here:

Hopefully, these employees will find jobs, but it will be very tough.

City Center, which will open this month just hired 12,000 employees for their series of hotels, shops and casinos. But after the grand openings, some of those employees will be laid off because they won't be needed as things level out. This happens almost every time a new casino opens. They overhire and layoff the new employees.
So, good luck to Binions and it's employees who will be laid off. You will need it.

Pawn Stars Bloopers

I've been watching Pawn Stores tonight and this occurred to me: When you compare the driving scenes and the roads they are on (you know, when they go to another business) to where they actually going, they don't match up. For instance, in one scene tonight, they had film of a open road, possibly along the I-215, but yet the actual address of the shop, the shop where where he fixed the Lincoln, is close to Desert Inn and the I-15. That is across the highway from the Strip.
Another "blooper" is when the guy tried to sell the Chuck Berry guitar, they interviewed him in front of a title loan store. The pawn shop doesn't do title loans but there is a title loan store down the street.
Ok, I realize I am being picky, but....

Mike Huckabee's Dream Of Being President Just Went Down In Flames

As I posted earlier today, a thug killed 4 police officers in Lakewood, WA. Police have now identified the thug as Maurice Clemmons.
Clemmons has a long history of criminal behavior. In Arkansas: "In 1990, Clemmons, then 18, was sentenced in Arkansas to 60 years in prison for burglary and theft of property, according to a news account in Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Newspaper stories describe a series of disturbing incidents involving Clemmons while he was being tried in Arkansas on various charges....When Clemmons received the 60-year sentence, he was already serving 48 years on five felony convictions and facing up to 95 more years on charges of robbery, theft of property and possessing a handgun on school property. Records from Clemmons' sentencing described him as 5-foot-7 and 108 pounds. The crimes were committed when he was 17."
And in Washington state: Clemmons had been in jail in Pierce County for the past several months on a pending charge of second-degree rape of a child. He was released from custody just six days ago, even though was staring at seven additional felony charges in Washington state.
Clemmons posted $15,000 with a Chehalis company called Jail Sucks Bail Bonds. The bondsman, in turn, put up $150,000, securing Clemmons' release on the pending child-rape charge.

This thug should have been in prison, but Mike Huckabee decided that he knew better and commuted this thugs sentence in Arkansas. "The reason Huckabee did this: News accounts say Huckabee commuted Clemmons' sentence, citing Clemmons' young age at the time the crimes were committed".
Huckabee is toast as far as a candidate for president or any other election, except maybe dog catcher, and may even be questionable. If he ever runs for anything in the future, his opponent will do Willie Horton type ads, just they did against Michael Dukakis.
The officers are: Officer Ronald Owen
Officer Greg Richards
Officer Tina Griswold
Sargent Mark Renninger
Prayers go out to the Officers and their families and to the officers of the Lakewood Police Department.

Oscar Goodman Blows Chance To Become Governor, But Who Set Him Up?

Oscar Goodman, City of Las Vegas mayor, also dubbed The World's Happiest Mayor, just shot down his chance to run for governor.
According to, hardly a reputable news organization (probably on the scale of the National Enquirer) has a video the shows Goodman as an auctioneer and making insensitive comments to a woman bidder. From "One sign Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman might be a bad auctioneer: He turned down the highest bidder ... and then called her a "fat and short Bette Midler."...The Mayor let the unbelievable dis loose at a recent auction in Sin City
, after a woman he repeatedly said looked like the Divine, red-haired, Vegas performer entered a bid of $2,750 for the item on the auction block. In the video -- shot from a distance -- Goodman says he won't accept her money because "she's fat and she's short." Read more:

I was unable to view the video, probably because of my stone age computer.
Maybe Oscar had one too many martinis that night, but whatever the reason, it was a very stupid comment, even if it was done in jest.
Oscar has been thinking about running for governor and this video, if accurate, will doom his candidacy. I like Oscar and would have voted for him if he won the primary.
One wonders where TMZ got the video. Something tells me it came from the Rory Reid (son of Harry Reid-Dumbass NV)camp. He is the only major candidate for governor for the Dems. Goodman is registered as a Democrat but would have run as an independent. However, you cannot rule out a GOP candidate as well, but which one? There 3 main candidates in the GOP primary and they are not thinking about Goodman, at least not yet. So, my money is on Reid.

Kent Davenport To Harry Reid: Shut Up

Kent Davenport, owner of Quality Hearing Aids, a Las Vegas business, has been running commercials on the radio telling Harry Reid to shut up. Kent is a folksy businessman who does his own hearing aid commercials. He boasts that is a very frugal businessman.
Basically, Davenport's commercials are saying that the elections are year away and Reid(Dumbass-NV) to stop airing all the commercials Reid and his surrogates are running. Davenport is the actor in the commercial.
You cannot go a day without hearing at least 2 or more of Reid's commercials. Harry brags about the jobs he has created or saved (lies) and how he helped solve the credit and banking problems (somewhat true).
Reid is like Obama, they both are narcissists and just love having their names in the news and I guess most politicians are like that. And to give Reid a slight break, he has something like $25 million in the bank, so he has to spend it on something.
But in the end, Reid is virtually hated by everyone in Nevada- left and right. Reid will spend and spend and in the end , he will still be defeated next November because people are tired of him.
So, congratulations to Kent Davenport for running these commercials. He is saying what most everyone is thinking. And thank you Mr. Davenport for putting your money on the line. Now, just beware of all the Reid's minions and liberal attack dogs that will come after you.

NV. Majority Leader Caught Breaking the Law, Refuses to Apologize In Person

Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford,(Democrat Dumbass) was caught parking in a handicapped parking stall while his children played soccer. Horsford does not have any physical disability (considering his offense, maybe a mental disability) but yet chose to park in a handicapped parking stall with his minivan. Not only did he park in the wrong, he did a horrible job of parking.
Channel 13, through it's "You Investigate, You Decide" got involved. Instead of being a man about the situation, Horsford decided to be a girlie man and send his political director to defend him.
In a written statement, girlieman Horsford said this: The written statement says, "I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused in inadvertently parking in an unauthorized parking space."
Inadvertently? You piece of pond scum, you mean you cannot see sign? Of course not, because he is an important person, you see, and he feels entitled to park where ever he wants.
Gilrieman Horsford, why don't you man up and apologize in person instead of putting out a stupid and unbelievable statement and don't send out your flunkies to do your dirty work. Finally, Girlieman Horsford, be a man. Own up to your boorish behavior. Even though you may have mental disability, you still are able to walk a few extra feet and park somewhere else. Why do you hate the disabled so much, girlieman Horsford?

Those Compassionate Liberals

Liberals are supposed to be compassionate, after all, they are supposed to look after the little guy. So, then, why does the left keep screwing up by being hateful?
From the St. Louis Today "people arrested in August outside a raucous town hall meeting in south St. Louis County have been charged with misdemeanor ordinance violations. The six, including a Post-Dispatch reporter, had attended a demonstration outside an Aug. 6 forum called by U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, at Bernard Middle School in Mehlville to discuss health care reform"
But the "paper" didn't tell the whole story. The victim is a black conservative. no mention of that in the paper. Then they gave plenty of space to the those charged and gave only a small paragraph or 2 to the victim.
The paper acknowledges that reporter from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter but they did not mention that another thug arrested was a SEIU Barney thug. I guess wearing purple gave the thug special powers.
Another example of the compassionate left is this little ditty from Jay Bullock of
Apples to Horse Apples: by folkbum
There's an ugly internet rumor going around that Sarah Palin's poll numbers are as good as Barack Obama's. It's not true. "
Well, either Jay is calling Sarah Palin horse apples or Obama. Since Jay is a loyal leftie, I have to presume Jay was referring the "Horse Apple" comment to Palin.
So, Jay thinks it is funny to call a female horse sh*t. You stay classy, Jay and stop being such a hypocrite and a hater.
So, the left proves once again, they really are a bunch of haters hiding behind the liberal banner.
Now, not all liberals are haters, though they are few and far between. I haven't found a liberal who is tolerant, to be honest, but like the dodo bird, I am sure there liberals who weren't haters. But like the dodo bird, the liberals who are not haters may be extinct.

Bernie Madoff Is a Piker Compared To Liberal Scams

Bernie Madoff is serving a life term in prison for defrauding a few hundred or maybe a few thousand people out of about 53 billion dollars.
Yet liberals, whose policies have been fraudulent see no prison time.
The latest is the global warming fraud. How many laws have been passed because of climate change/global warming? How many products have been made because of global warming and now will be useless? Al Gore- how many millions of dollars did he make because of the fraud? Investors in green technology have been screwed.
Global warming/climate change is just another liberal fraud. How many times do we listen to liberals with their great ideas and get screwed? Welfare, Medicare and Medicaid are all going bankrupt, along with social security. The war on poverty? Billions of wasted money with no results that showed it worked. Public Education (for which I am part of), for the most part, a terrific failure.
Liberalism has been a tremendous failure. If any Attorney General had the guts, they would have arrested some liberals and put them on trial for fraud. Can't put them on trial for stupidity, which is a shame.
Liberalism is a total and complete failure. It's too bad liberals may not be smart enough to figure it out.

Wisconsin Law Screws Over Local Communities

From "Local governments seeking to cut spending next year could be stifled by a new state law that gives special protection to emergency services such as police and fire.
The little-publicized part of the state budget, signed into law in June, is praised as a way to promote public safety and criticized for crimping the autonomy of municipalities and counties."

So, Diamond Jim Doyle and the democrats of Wisconsin have decided they know better about local emergency services than the local communities.
Local communities now need to prove that if they want cut emergency services personnel, they have to prove it won't cut services. If they cut services, they the local communities face a cut in money from the State, if the State is not happy with the arrangements.
The local communities have to prove to the state Department of Revenue that services won't be cut. What the hell does the Dept. of Revenue about emergency services and local community needs? They know nothing.
Most of the police officers and firefighters are decent hard working people. Their union thug leaders are not. Doyle, the Democrats and the union thug leaders just screwed over the local communities. Again. Shameful

Now We Know Why The Left Is Scared Of Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin went to Fort Bragg and 4500 people braved the rain and cold to see Sarah Palin and get autographs from her.
How many people came out to see Nancy Pelosi when her book came out?
The left is scared of Palin. (well, Letterman is obsessed with her, but that is probably because of another reason) and this is the reason why. She is selling a lot of books, getting a lot of people to come to her autograph sessions and is getting a lot of attention.
Palin is intelligent, good looking and has real world experience. Obama just has the good looks. That is why the left is scared.

New Details In Officer's Murder- Shooter Shot In the **lls

As more information comes out, it seems that the thugs that killed Metro Police Officer Trevor Nettleton tried to play in the big leagues of gang life but really, in the end were just a bunch of stupid thugs.
Some details: The shooter that Killed Officer Nettleton, was shot himself- in the testicles. Yeah, he won't live that down in prison.
The guys who have been arrested broke down and confessed quite easily. Seems like this will be a slam dunk trial. This is a defense attorney's nightmare trial.
5 thugs have been arrested and are in jail.
My questions are these:
1. How many of these thugs come from single parent families?
2. How many of these thugs dropped out of school?
3. How many of these thug's families are on welfare or other government assistance?
4. When was the last time these thugs were in church?
5. When will the sympathetic articles about the thugs in the newspapers begin? (I say 3 days, especially in the LV Sun)
6. How many of these thugs are on probation or parole?
7. How many of these thugs were arrested as juveniles?
8. Where is the outrage in the black community about this murder and why aren't they outraged at all the black on black crime and murders in the black community.
I don't I will get many answers to the questions, but who knows.
We have lost too many young and innocent people to murder in Las Vegas in the past few years. When will it stop?

Global Warming Is A Fraud: Yawn

For those of us who have never believed in global warming, this article from Hot Air is just another example of fraud the global warming zealots have put upon the world.
I am sure the Global Warming Nazi's will of course make excuses for these clowns- they don't represent everybody, they just had a bad day, they did it for the children, the end justify the means.
So, will Al Gore, the global warming bloggers that I read such as Keith, scott, John, Grumps etc apologize now. Nah, didn't think so.

Patrick Kennedy Banned From Taking Communion

From The Providence Journal Online: Providence Bishop Thomas J. Tobin has forbidden Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy to receive the Roman Catholic sacrament of Holy Communion because of his advocacy of abortion rights, the Rhode Island Democrat said Friday.
“The bishop instructed me not to take Communion and said that he has instructed the diocesan priests not to give me Communion,” Kennedy said in a telephone interview.

Well, apparently Kennedy stretched about the Bishop talking to other priests: But the bishop’s office moved quickly to cast doubt on Kennedy’s related assertion about instructions to the priests of Rhode Island.
“Bishop Tobin has never addressed matters relative to public officials receiving Holy Communion with pastors of the diocese,” spokesman Michael K. Guilfoyle said in an e-mailed statement.

Based on the article, the Bishop and Kennedy have been fighting in the press about abortion and health care.
Kennedy, it appears thinks he is a theologian and did a Nancy Pelosi and tried to interpret what Catholic Doctrine is, to fit his needs.
This really is a very simple problem to fix. Kennedy, if you don't like what the Church is saying, then feel free to join another Church that fits your needs and beliefs. Don't try and change Church doctrine so it can fit your beliefs. It is not your Church.
To Bishop Tobin, good for you in showing a backbone. I wish more clergy would follow your lead.
Here in Nevada, Harry Reid belongs to the LDS or Mormon Church. They are pro life and Harry Reid is not. But they keep quiet about Reid, showing their hypocrisy. You can find that hypocrisy in the different churches around the country and it really is shameful.

Pawn Stars New Season Begins Next Week

Per their web site, Pawn Stars returns next Monday. It will be interesting to see if they show the items I saw brought into the store and if we are going to be on TV.

Sarah Palin: Get A Life To The Media Stalkers

From the Mark Levin Show and The radio Equalizer: Sarah Palin to the media, get a life.

Umm, David Letterman, you are the main stalker, maybe, after you are done molesting your employees, you should get a life.

Metro Loses A Second Officer In A Week

From the LVRJ: Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie today had trouble finding the words for his latest fallen comrade, Daniel Leach, right, a corrections officer who died hours earlier in a collision on U.S. Highway 95 near Searchlight....Gillespie spoke following the death of Leach, 49, a 25-year veteran of the department who died at the scene of a 5:45 a.m. collision. The department van he was driving south clipped the second of two trailers being hauled by a 10-wheel dump truck that had just made a left turn onto northbound 95.
Leach’s death came only two days after Gillespie addressed the media at another news conference to discuss the slaying of officer Trevor Nettleton, shot during what police called a botched robbery early Thursday morning at his home in North Las Vegas.

Metro has had a very rough year. We have lost 3 police or correction officers to traffic accidents and another officer who died in a shootout at his house while he was being robbed by 3 or 4 thugs. This the worst stretch of LOD in Metro's history. 4 in 6 months or so. Please, no more
This week, we will have 2 officer LOD funerals in Las Vegas and that is tough for any community and department.
RIP, Correctional Leach (
And condolences to the Metro Police Department and their officers.

Congratulations to Kyle Bush For The Nationwide Championship

Kyle Bush, a Las Vegas native, won the Nationwide race in Homestead and the Nationwide Championship today by beating Carl Edwards.
Busch, who graduated from Durango High School in Las Vegas and grew up on the tracks around Vegas, shows why he is a class act and a true champion. Busch is one of the few true native Las Vegans, and that is something the area should be proud of, even though he can be a bit pompous ever now and then.

November 21- This Day In History

On November 21, 1980, the MGM Grand hotel caught on fire and killed 85 people and injured more than 700 others. Because of this fire, hotels and motels were made to increase their fire safety. For more information about the fire from the fire department's perspective:

Speaking of disasters, also on the same day, millions tuned into the show "Dallas" to find out who shot J.R.

What Obama Really Thinks About The Troops

Obama, in South Korea said this about the U.S. troops: "You guys make a pretty good photo op," the president said.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Obama Losing His Support

Let's see, President Obama won the election with about 52% of the vote. Now, his approval rating is at 49%.
It appears that about 3% of people who voted for Obama are having buyers remorse.
It's probably even worse than that. By human nature, it is hard to admit you made a mistake. But 3% basically admitted they made a mistake by voting for Obama.
This does not bode well for the Democrats in 2010.

Another Riot At Vincent H.S., Milwaukee

Another riot broke out at Vincent H.S. in Milwaukee today, injuring 3 police officers and a safety assistant. the fight happened after school in a parking lot.
I have somewhat warm thoughts about Vincent- it is where I started my teaching career after graduating from college.
How can this happen at a school that is in a basically quiet area of Milwaukee? It's not like the school is in the middle of a neighborhood, like the late North or South Division high schools are.
Apparently, the administration and cops and not getting good intelligence from the kids at the school. I know at the school where I teach now, there is good intelligence as to when fights break out and many times we know about a potential fight before it breaks out. And after school surveillance must be lacking at Vincent. To let that big of a crowd gather after school hours just should not happen, especially after other incidents at school. They need to disperse the kids immediately after school. This includes inside and outside of school and it's parking lots. Finally, the kids need to be able to trust it's administration, teachers and school police officers to the point where if a fight is about to break out, the kids feel they can go to these people and report it.
It's just another sad day at Vincent, my first school I taught at.

Gov. Jim Gibbons Makes A Fool Of Himself, Again

Just when I thought Jim Gibbons was starting to be a decent candidate for governor, he turns around and does this: Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry made a motion to grant the request for parole eligibility immediately but he gained only the support of Gov. Jim Gibbons on the board composed of the Supreme Court, the attorney general and the governor.
And what crime did this girl thug do?: The state Pardons Board has denied the request for clemency from a female inmate who at age 15 strangled a man in a Las Vegas hotel room while posing as a prostitute in a trick roll caper...But Steve Owens, chief criminal deputy in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, said Burns strangled Pedro Villareal and because of her light weight had to jump up and down on his neck.
So, we have a girl who was 15 years and a prostitute. She and her partner robbed a john and killed him and the evidence points that she is the killer.
She has only served 6 years and 8 months of her term and she wants to apply for parole immediately.
So, why did Gibbons want to grant her request? He is running as a conservative in the governor's race and he pulls this crap? Governor, I really would like to support you, but when you do stupid things like this, it makes me wonder why I should waste my time.

Metro officer Killed At Home

Two thugs have been arrested for the murder of Metro Officer Trevor Nettleton.
He was shot at home while defending it from the thugs who tried to rob his home in North Las Vegas, the good part of North Las Vegas.
Details here:
Officer Nettleton, though off duty, should be granted all the benefits an officer who is on duty receives. He should get the monetary benefits along with a funeral that honors a fallen officer. he should also be honored on The Officer Down Memorial Page (
Officer Nettleton was performing as a police officer when he was killed and he should be honored like he was.
Update: Officer Nettleton's page from the Officer Down Memorial Page:

Firefighter Combat Challenge

Tomorrow is the last day for the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge at Fremont Street. I just found out about it today, so my apologies for not having posted earlier about this.
These are the best of the best firefighters and if you get a chance to come out to Fremont Street, it will be worth it.

Harry Reid Acting Disgracefull, Again

Harry Reid- D(umbass)-NV shows once again why he won't be re-elected next year.
Apparently, Dumbass Harry has scheduled a late Saturday night vote on the health care bill.
Because late Saturday night is a very slow news night and the public isn't following the news.
Harry Reid is a disgrace to Nevada and this shows why he is a disgrace. Bye-Bye Harry. It really wasn't nice having you as our Senator.

Liberal Unconstitutional Hypocrisy

Liberal hypocrisy is alive and well.
The liberals want the Gitmo detainees to have criminal court trials on U.S. soil because that is what the Constitution tells them.
But they are willing to let the Gitmo detainee's constitutional rights be violated while they being tried in the U.S. courts.
Liberal Hypocrits. They do provide comedy entertainment.

Memo to Mike Montandon

Mike Montandon, a GOP candidate for Governor for Nevada is also the mayor of North Las Vegas.
Mike, I went to your web site last night and it was not working. I couldn't read anything and the links didn't work.
If you want to be treated as a serious candidate for governor, you need to have a decent web site where people can read it 24/7.

North Las Vegas Government In Chaos

From the LVRJ:
North Las Vegas City Manager Gregory Rose is taking 30 days of executive leave effective immediately, he announced today.
When reached on his cell phone, Rose, who has served as city manager since late 2003, would not say why he was taking the time off.
North Las Vegas is the state's 3rd largest city behind Las Vegas and Henderson. There are several reasons why the manager may have left, among others, finding another job, let time by so things can settle down in the city or other reasons.
Two things that stood out from the article: No mention of the Mayor of North Las Vegas- Michael Montandon and second, if Rose can take a 30 day leave with very little notice, does the city really need a city manager? Seriously, if an employee can disappear for 30 days and the city can function just fine without him, do they really need that employee? Somehow, I doubt it.

12,000 Nevadan's Get More Welfare thanks To Reid and Obama

From the Las Vegas Sun: "Some 12,000 unemployed Nevada workers who had exhausted their weekly jobless benefits will qualify for another 20 weeks of payments under legislation signed by President Obama earlier this month."
Those 12,000 people already have gone through almost a year and half of unemployment and now they will qualify for almost 100 weeks of unemployment.
This is no longer unemployment compensation, it is a way of life. This is welfare to the unemployed, but just a higher paid welfare participant. These people are ripping off the system and really, there is no excuse not to find a job in Las Vegas.
While you may not find construction jobs or casino jobs, there are other employers hiring. There is Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Rebel, and other positions such as trucking and taxi driver. You may not like those jobs, but too bad. They are jobs and they pay decently.
Bu thanks to Obama and Reid, they can loaf around for another 20 weeks, thanks to those paying the unemployment compensation for a bunch of loafers.

Stupid California Benefits Nevada

California, showing again why people are leaving the state and state income through sales taxes continue to plummet: "Power-hungry TVs will be banned from store shelves in California after state regulators adopted a first-in-the nation mandate to lower electricity demand."
TV's in California will become more efficient, but they will be much more expensive. So people will still buy their TVs. They will buy them in Nevada, Arizona, Mexico, on-line, Oregon and every other state that is close to California. But the liberals in California are either too stupid to realize this or don't care. The economy in California is in shambles and this will hurt the economy even more.

Best Pumpkin Bread Ever

I will hardly ever blog about food that you have to cook, but this is an exception.
I have to give kudos to Libby's and their pumpkin bread kit.
Quite simply, it is the best pumpkin bread I have ever had. I brought it to school the other day and passed out to some teachers and they thought it was the best ever as well. This includes the cooking teacher at our school, who is an excellent chef in her own right.
Anyways, it is Libby's All Natural Pumpkin Bread Kit. It costs about $5 and it makes two loaves of bread. Mix it with whip cream or icing and you will be in heaven when you eat it.
And no, I am not being paid by Libby's (though a coupon or two would be nice... just kidding- no bribes here) Give it a try.

Explain To Me Again Why Wisconsin Doesn't Have The Death Penalty

From Jsonline: Charles A. Avey used a necktie Sunday to strangle his stepson, 14-year-old Cody Reetz of Grafton, as payback to the boy's mother for reporting to police that he had beaten her with a hammer, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday.
Avey, 37, was charged Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide in Washington County Circuit Court.
"This was a savage act," Washington County District Attorney Todd Martens said in court. "And it was committed against a family member."..."the criminal complaint says Avey used a second necktie to tie the boy's neck to an armrest inside an Oldsmobile minivan, then hid Reetz's body under clothing and a backpack. He killed the boy inside the minivan while it was parked at a Germantown Wal-Mart, the complaint says, and left the lot with a friend shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.'

This was a pre-mediated murder caused by the the thug being pissed off at his wife for calling the cops after he beat the crap out of her.
So, another candidate for the death penalty will spend the rest of his days in prison, watching TV, watching Packer games, going to the canteen, working, playing games socializing etc.
Meanwhile his stepson is dead and his mother is in a terrible amount of pain and guilt.
My only hope is that the prison justice system works and he becomes a bitch to a guy named Bubba and when he bends down to pick up the soap, he will get his and it will be extremely painful.

And the Health Care Rationing Begins

From Fox News: "Most women don't need a mammogram in their 40s and should get one every two years starting at 50, a government task force said Monday. It's a major reversal that conflicts with the American Cancer Society's long-standing position.
Also, the task force said breast self-exams do no good and women shouldn't be taught to do them."...But the government panel of doctors and scientists concluded that getting screened for breast cancer so early and so often leads to too many false alarms and unneeded biopsies without substantially improving women's odds of survival.
"The benefits are less and the harms are greater when screening starts in the 40s," said Dr. Diana Petitti, vice chair of the panel.

However, the American Cancer Society disagrees strongly: "This is one screening test I recommend unequivocally, and would recommend to any woman 40 and over," the society's chief medical officer, Dr. Otis Brawley, said in a statement"...."That stance "is essentially telling women that mammography at age 40 to 49 saves lives, just not enough of them," he said. The cancer society feels the benefits outweigh the harms for women in both groups.",2933,575354,00.html
First, why would the government say that women should not be giving themselves self-exams is just outrageous. It is called preventable medicine. Yes, there are times when a woman given themselves a breast exam feel something and it is a false alarm. But there are times when it is not and the woman is the first to know when something is not right and the government wants to take that out of the woman's hand (bad pun) and let a professional do it.
And what about those times when a young woman has breast cancer and yet the government says they should examine themselves or get a mammogram until they are 50. Yup, you are screwed.
This is what government health insurance will do for you and women, you are getting screwed. Don't worry, guys, we are next when we are told not to give self exams for testicular cancer and screw the prostrate cancer tests.

SEIU Barney Thugs Go after Eagle Scouts

In pursuit of an Eagle Scout badge, Kevin Anderson, 17, has toiled for more than 200 hours hours over several weeks to clear a walking path in an east Allentown park.
Little did the do-gooder know that his altruistic act would put him in the cross hairs of the city's largest municipal union.
Nick Balzano, president of the local Service Employees International Union, told Allentown City Council Tuesday that the union is considering filing a grievance against the city for allowing Anderson to clear a 1,000-foot walking and biking path at Kimmets Lock Park.
"We'll be looking into the Cub Scout or Boy Scout who did the trails," Balzano told the council.,0,6238384.story
The Barney union, because they like wearing purple, and are usually big and fat, like Barney, act just like a bunch of union thugs.
They've done that here in Vegas, when the City of Las Vegas wanted to build a new city hall, the big, fat Barneys decided they didn't like that, so they held rallies, tried to file a petition and just acted like a bunch of bullies when they didn't get their way.
Now, they are going after a potential Eagle Scout for doing volunteer work because: Balzano said Saturday he isn't targeting Boy Scouts. But given the city's decision in July to lay off 39 SEIU members, Balzano said "there's to be no volunteers." No one except union members may pick up a hoe or shovel, plant a flower or clear a walking path
But the lead big fat Barney thug might generously overlook this: "We are probably going to let this one go," Balzano said"
So, no one can volunteer to work on city or town property? Is this guy nuts?
This is why government is in trouble and unions are losing members, dignity and respect.

Dale. Jr.'s Crew Crash But Not To be Outdone...

Dale Ernhardt Jr.'s pit crew crashed on their way to to the track this morning in Phoenix. They were preparing for the Checker's 500 and fortunately, no one was hurt.
Not to be outdone, Dale Jr. caused the big one at the race today:

Dale was heard to say: "At least I didn't miss my pit...again."

UNLV Fires Football Coach

The UNLV Rebels football team fired it's coach Mike Sanford, after the it's last game of the season, which is December 5th.
I only follow UNLV football just a little bit. The problem is that UNLV never will have a good football team, no matter how hard they try. They have the disadvantage in that they are not known for football, they don't have tradition, they have the disadvantage of the weather- you just cannot practice very well in 110 degree weather, their facilities stink compared to other big colleges and recruiting for football is tough when you have some other programs in the region that have developed. Utah, BYU, Boise St. just to name a few that offer more than UNLV can offer.
In addition, the education program at UNLV is not as good as the other schools. That is why UNLV can attract basketball players- they know they don't need to finish college and they can skate by in their classes because they think they will go pro. In football, most of the players realize they are not going pro, so they need a decent education and they can get better education elsewhere.
Sanford probably did the best he could considering the circumstances. Good luck to him and his assistant coaches in finding new employment.

Good Packers. Bad Packers. Blame Me For The Packers Win

Today, I honestly thought the Packers were going to get their butts kicked by the Cowgirls. So, of course I put money on the game at a local casino. It seems whenever I put money on the game, I lose.
So, after putting money on the Cowgirls to win, I went to Aviation Nation instead of our Packer Bar and then imagine my surprise when I saw the Packers were winning 17-0 in the 4th.
Well, since I have such a poor record record betting on games, I will take credit for jinxing the Packers to win today.

Aviation Nation Views

We went to Aviation Nation today instead of watching the Packer game. As it turned out, both were quite exciting.
The flight line had many, many different planes on displays. Sizes ranged from the C-5 Galaxy to a Civil air Patrol single engine plane.
They had fighter planes, bombers, including a B-1 and B-52, a C-17, an AWACS, Predators from Creech AFB in nearby Indian Springs, helicopters and the old planes that were flown in WWII and newer including the new Raptor (F-22?)
The Thunderbird show was fantastic, though there was one scary moment. About midway through the show, there was a murmur going through the crowd that something was wrong. I looked u and saw one of the planes break off. It became obvious something was wrong, but no one was talking on the loudspeaker. Then it came on the loudspeaker that one of the planes had experienced a mechanical problem, but that it was corrected and that the show would resume, which it did.
These pilots have to have such amazing concentration. To fly as fast as they were flying and then all of a sudden, you have a mechanical problem and after the problems resolved you carry on like nothing had happened. Amazing.
Another amazing sight was the senior enlisted NCO was out working, giving rides to the disabled with his golf cart
Thank you to Nellis AFB for putting on another great show. It makes you proud of our local Air men and women.

Hurray, Real Snow Up On Mount Charleston

Last night, real snow fell on Mount Charleson for the first time this season.
The good news is this snow, barring global warming, will last until late May or early June.

Another Democrat Goes To Prison

William Jefferson- Democrat Scum Bag, was sentenced to at least 13 years in prison for bribery.
The former Louisiana congressman who famously hid $90,000 cash in his freezer following an FBI bribery sting was sentenced to 13 years in prison Friday, the longest term ever imposed on a congressman convicted of bribery.
Prosecutors wanted the 62-year-old William Jefferson, a Democrat who represented parts of New Orleans, to serve at least 27 years in prison. The defense wanted less than 10 years and hoped Jefferson could remain free on bond while he appeals his conviction.
Jefferson said nothing in court after he was sentenced. He was convicted in August of 11 counts, including bribery and racketeering. Prosecutors at his two-month trial said he took roughly $500,000 in bribes and sought millions more. He was acquitted of five other charges, including the one most closely associated with the money in his freezer".

Jefferson, who was supported by Democrats until almost to the end is going away.
Scum bag doesn't even begin to describe Jefferson. While Hurricane Katrina was going on, he commandeered a military vehicle to get money out of his freezer.
Yet, he was never thrown out of office by congresscritters of both parties despite the overwhelming evidence against him.
Stay safe, Democrat Jefferson, as you spend the next 13 years in prison.

7 Year Old Fires Gun At A Bus Stop

"Clark County School District Police are saying that a 7-year-old boy fired a handgun at a school bus stop this morning in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
Police said the boy fired the gun while waiting for a bus at the stop.
The boy, along with another 7-year-old, were going to Ries Elementary School, 9805 Lindell Road, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday when one of the youngsters fired the 9mm handgun
7 years old and shooting a gun in a neighborhood. Too many questions and too few answers. Like where did they get the gun and why wasn't the gun locked up?

Update: Stripper On Wheels Goes Flat

Oh well, all good things must come to an end: Live strippers on the back of a truck is too much -- even for Sin City.
A Las Vegas strip club has agreed to stop an advertising promotion that involved hauling bikini-clad exotic dancers around in a truck with clear plastic sides.
Larry Beard, marketing director of Deja Vu Showgirls, said Friday that he's taking his lawyer's advice and parking the truck.

Well, even in Vegas, some things go over the line.

How Freaky Is This????

From The Officer Down Memorial Page, the last 2 police officers who died while on the duty came from 2 small town police with the same name, from different states.
Sgt. Jeffery Shaw of the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Indiana, passed away of from car accident on 11-12-09.

Police Officer Joseph Fulton died of a heart attack on 11-8-2009 while chasing a criminal. He is from the Kosciusko Police Department, Mississippi.

Both officers died as heroes and may they rest in peace.

If you want to honor a police officer who has died in the line of duty from your hometown, county, state or a federal officer, please check out the Officer Down Memorial Page:

Aviation Nation: Nellis Air Show

This weekend, Aviation Nation returns to Nellis Air Force Base. It is a great show and one of the biggest in the nation.
The air show starts around 10:00 and goes until about 4:00 or so. It is non-stop action, with the newest jets to the older air force planes.
For more information:
Some tips, if you go: Don't walk to the base- you won't get in. You have to go to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and take the bus to Nellis. Make sure you remember which bus you take. Last year, there were two separate buses and if you get on the wrong one, plan on a very long walk. I learned that the hard way.
Once you get to Nellis, be prepared to see a lot of airplanes, both big and small. And plan on doing a lot of walking.
If you get tired easy, bring a portable chair. There are not a lot of places to sit, especially close to the air show.
The Thunderbirds are the last act of the show and it is loud and awesome. If you are sensitive to sound, bring ear plugs.
There will be food there, but nothing special. Some food from the roach coaches and also some other hamburger stands.
But go out and support the Air Force. you will have a lot of fun.

Newest Fad In Vegas: Strippers on Wheels

"The young stripper wrapped herself around a chrome pole inside a giant Plexiglas box on the back of a rolling truck.
Heather “Passion” Matson, 21, beckoned drivers and pedestrians on the Strip with her skimpy outfit, come-hither smile and suggestive moves that included flipping upside down with legs spread.
...The all-nude clubs Déjà Vu Showgirls and Little Darlings began hauling dancers up and down Las Vegas Boulevard a couple weeks ago to lure patrons, whose numbers have dwindled in the recession...The road shows start about 10 p.m. and go to 2 a.m."

Well, I admit, I am a prude and I am against this. First it is distracting to drivers and pedestrians. I mean, how many ambulance calls is the fire department going to respond to for walkers walking into light poles?

Some things are just wrong, even in Vegas and this is one of those ideas.

But I do feel sorry for the stripper: "Matson said she hopes the mobile stage works as intended. She estimates her income has dropped by 75 percent in the past year.
“I used to make $800 a night,” Matson said. “Now I’m down to $200.”"

But hey, she still makes more than a teacher.

Operation Repo: What a Joke

I watched Operation Repo last night and it was a joke. The hype about the show was that Luis was dying from the season before, but they just mentioned it for about a minute.
In previous seasons, it looked like the repo guys actually tried to make the scenes look realistic. Last night, they didn't even try. The actors who got repoed overacted, just as bad as Jim Carrey.
It was quite a pathetic episode. Now, I just have a question, where do they get the ideas for their stories? Do they get from their jobs they went on or from stories from other repo agents from around the country or do they make it up as they go along? Either way, it pretty much was a waste of tie last night. Operation Repo stole a half hour of my life last night and I want my half hour back.

Thank You Veterans

Thank you to all who have served in the Marines, Navy, Army and Air Force, during war time and peace. Thank you to all the commanders in chief.
We appreciate your service to the country. We thank your families for the sacrafices they have suffered.
May our military be as strong as ever and may our military be as honorable as ever.
Thank you, to the soldiers, sea men, air men and grunts.

This Is Not Good News For the Military

From the Minot Daily News: "Military officials said last week that up to 75 percent of today's young people are not fit to join the armed services, either due to lack of physical fitness or criminal records, or because they haven't graduated from high school."... "In North Dakota, that would mean more than 70,000 young adults. North Dakota is doing somewhat better than the national average. However, North Dakota still has 17 percent of its students not graduating on time, 26 percent of its young people ages 10-17 overweight or obese, and one in every 63 adults on probation, in jail, in prison, or on parole.
The report was issued by a group of retired military generals and admirals who formed an organization called MISSION: READINESS. They said their goal is to support policies to get young people off to the right start. They are alarmed by the lack of people fit for duty and see it as a national security issue, particularly in a country that relies on all-volunteer armed services."

Imagine that this the U.S. and not North Dakota. If only 25% of students can qualify for the military because of being out of shape, bad grades, a criminal record etc, this doesn't look good for the military. It also doesn't look good for other professions as well- fire fighters, ploice officers and other jobs that need good, honest and well fit employees.
But at least the military is doing something about it: "The report was issued by a group of retired military generals and admirals who formed an organization called MISSION: READINESS. They said their goal is to support policies to get young people off to the right start. They are alarmed by the lack of people fit for duty and see it as a national security issue, particularly in a country that relies on all-volunteer armed services.
Michael Burt, head of the U.S. Air Force Junior ROTC program at Minot High School, said Monday he thinks the number of young people unfit for service is far lower in North Dakota than in other states, but he still sees some cause for concern.
"We have a lot of overweight kids (in the country)," said Burt, who said that some high school students attend schools without a requirement that they take physical education. In Minot, students are required to take phy. ed throughout school. Many physical education teachers assess their students' fitness at the beginning and the end of the year so they can measure their progress."

With 75% of potential canidates for the military being disqualified before they even step in the door, it raises 2 possibilites: 1. Lower the standards of the military or 2. Realize we may not be able to meet military recruiting goals.

Bad Day For Wisconsin Construction Jobs

On Tuesday, two major manufacturing companies reported massive layoffs.
Kolbe and Kolbe out of Wausau laid off 334 workers with hopes of bringing them back in the Spring. Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork Co., Inc. announced today that it is laying off 334 of its production and office employees — most of which work at the company’s Wausau facility —because of weak residential and light commercial construction industries...The layoffs are expected to be temporary; the company plans to call back many of the workers as possible in early spring, said Michael Salsieder, the company’s president, in a news release.
Salsieder could not anticipate how many workers would be called back, saying that it will be determined by the resiliency of the economy.

And: "Wick Building Systems said Tuesday it's closing plants and cutting hundreds of jobs.
Most of the job cuts will occur in Mazomanie, west of Madison, where the company has its headquarters.
Wick makes modular homes and pre-fabricated buildings and has been in business since 1960, according to the company's Web site.
A Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development news release said 352 of the job cuts will be in Mazomanie and 142 will be in Marshfield"

These are good paying jobs and it will devastate the Central Wisconsin and Northern Wisconsin economy.
Central and Northern Wisconsin has been hit very hard in losing manufacturing jobs. They have closed or reduced the number of employees at paper mills, closed other factories. Central Wisconsin's answer? Open a factory in Wisconsin Rapids that manufacture wings for wind mills. Nice, even if it even pans out, but it won't replace all the jobs that have been lost in the last couple of years.
I used to live and work in Central Wisconsin and I hope the area can work it out, but I have my doubts. Wisconsin Rapids is pinning it hopes on the "green plant'. But it just ain't going to work out. The green economy just isn't going to work, despite what Obama and other liberals hope for.
And now, hope and change is what many of these Central and Northern Wisconsn voters for when they re-elected Dave Obey and voted for Obama and hope and no jobs is what they are getting. And Dve obey's reaction:

Andre Agassi: WTF?

Andre Agassi, a Las Vegas resident, decided to embarrass himself, his family and the tennis world with his autobiography: "Open"
Agassi claims he did crystal meth, tanked games, wore a hair piece, lied about the drug use etc..
the only thing he didn't mentioned is if he slept with a guy, which he apparently didn't..
I never liked Agassi while he played tennis. However, he put his money in a good place. He opened Andre Agassi prep school for the inner city kids of Clark County, and for this he did good. He also has helped several charities in Clark County and Las Vegas.
He didn't have to write this book and I for one, will not read it. Mainly because I didn't like him as a tennis player, but I hope this book doesn't screw up his charitable works he has done for the area.

Why Did The Fort Hood Slaughter Have To Happen? Liberalism

From Fox News:
The warning signs were all there: the justification of homicide bombings; the spewing of anti-American hatred; the efforts to reach Al Qaeda ...
But the U.S. military treated Major Nidal Malik Hasan with kid gloves, even after giving him a poor performance review. And though he was on the radar screen of at least one U.S. intelligence agency, no action was taken that might have prevented the Army psychiatrist from allegedly gunning down 13 people and wounding 29 others in the Fort Hood massacre last week.
"There were definitely clear indications that Hasan's loyalties were not with America," Lt. Col. Val Finnell, Hasan's classmate at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md..."There were all sorts of ... comments made throughout the year that made me question his loyalty to the United States, but nothing was done," said Finnell, who recalled one class during which Hasan gave a presentation justifying homicide bombings.
"The issue here is that there's a political correctness climate in the military. They don't want to say anything because it would be considered questioning somebody's religious belief, or they're afraid of an equal opportunity lawsuit.,2933,573469,00.html

Some people have tried to blame Obama for this mess and it just isn't true. However, political correctness, one of the hallmarks of liberalism, seems to be a major cause why this terrorist was not kicked out of the Army earlier.
Normally, an Army psychiatrist will fly under the radar for most things. After all, how much damage can a psychiatrist do?
But as this case shows, they can do a lot of damage.
Further in the article: When you are in the military and you start making comments that are seditious, when you say you believe something other than your oath of office — someone needed to say why is this guy saying this stuff.
"He was a lightning rod. He made his views known and he was very vocal, he had extremely radical jihadist views," Finnell said. "When you're a military officer you take an oath to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.
"They should've confronted him — our professors, officers — but they were too concerned about being politically correct."

The story goes on about how politically incorrect the Army has begun. Now, it is quite clear there are consequences when a group becomes politically correct and in this case, 13 brave soldiers are the victims of political correctness and liberalism.

Las Vegas Veterans Day Parade On Wednesday

On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, Las Vegas will hold their annual Veteran's Day Parade. From the City of Las vegas web site: "Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11, and you can recognize those who have fought for our country by attending the annual Veterans Day Parade. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Las Vegas. The parade travels along Fourth Street from Gass Avenue to Fremont Street.
This year's parade will feature more than 100 entries and 4,000 participants.
The parade will also be carried live on Cox Cable Channel 96."

I know the MJROTC from our school will be participating.
With schools being out that day and most government agencies being closed, there is no excuse that a lot of people cannot come out and support our troops- past and present.

And Here I Thought CCSD Was Out Of Money

Today, while waiting for students to come to my school on the Special Education buses, I noticed that all the buses were replaced with brand new special ed. buses.
Of of about 11 buses that stop at our school, 9 are 2010, a 2009 and a 2004 school bus. They replaced buses that were 5 years or younger. In the Clark County School District, the district owns the buses and the drivers are district employees.
And, here I thought CCSD was broke.

North Dakota- The New Saudia Arabia

From the Minot Daily News: "North Dakota's already burgeoning oil production could soar another 50 percent next year as the state's capacity to export crude catches up with its ability to pump it, state regulators and industry officials say.
If oil prices stay above $60 a barrel and contemplated oil transportation projects become reality, the state could be producing 400,000 barrels of oil daily within five years, said Lynn Helms, director of the state Department of Mineral Resources."

Having lived in North Dakota (joined the Air Force, see the world, I saw Minot for 4 years, but I loved it) I am very happy for the state.
And if you are looking for work, that may be the place to go. Beautiful summers, very cold winters and not much of a night life, except in maybe Bismarck and Fargo. Miles of flatlands with small mountains in the west. The some of the most awesome sight is seeing miles upon acres of sunflowers in full bloom and the Northern Lights in the winter. You also have some of the most friendliest people on the face of the earth.
But here is a case where the private sector is working with the state government and it will benefit everyone who lives there.
There is plenty of oil out west and the other states should follow North Dakota's lead and produce more oil while we reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Why "Going Green" Won't Work

Last year, Wal Mart tried to go green. They pushed green products especially light bulbs. They made special displays, put the Green light bulbs everywhere in the stores.
But there was a problem- no one was buying the light bulbs. The displays were hardly touched but regular light bulbs, you know the non-green light bulbs, continued to sell out.
Now, Wal-Mart has significantly scaled back on the green light bulbs in their displays and now promote the regular light bulbs in their displays.
If Wal-Mart cannot successfully sell the environmentally friendly light bulbs to your average, everyday shopper, what makes you think the average consumer will run out and buy other, more expensive green products, especially in this economy?

Jimmie Johnson Makes Things Interesting

Late last night, my lovely wife, Cathy and I were discussing the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship and how Jimmie Johnson can lose it. I suggested that perhaps if Johnson crashed in each of the races, then he will lose the cup.
Well, after 3 laps today, Johnson crashed hard. He may return later, but it sure makes things interesting in NASCAR.

Come Tuesday., The Country Will Be Less 1 Killer

From Fox News: McLEAN, Va. — It galled her to do it, but Sarah Dillon was desperate for answers, so she wrote letters to convicted snipers John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo: If you murdered my son, please confess, she wrote.
She got no reply.
"I've been waiting for answers for seven years," said Dillon, who took to wearing a button that said "Billy Gene Dillon is a very important person" as a reminder that his killing remains unsolved.
Sarah Dillon is not the only person with unanswered questions about the killing spree initiated by Muhammad and Malvo seven years ago, which culminated with 13 shootings and 10 deaths over a three-week span that terrorized the Washington region.
As Virginia prepares to execute Muhammad on Tuesday, authorities are unable to answer perhaps the most basic question about the killings: How many people did he and Malvo shoot and kill?,2933,572910,00.html?test=latestnews

John Muhammad, a Muslim terrorist is going to die, hopefully on Tuesday. I would love to hear the lefties excuses why he should not be executed.
Muhammad is a terrorist but somhow I don't think he will be getting any 72 virgins, except, maybe these:

New NY Represenative Breaks 4 Camgaign Promises In A Day

Congressman-elect Bill Owens was sworn in at noon today.
Owens indicated in a press release released shortly afterwards that he was now in favor of the the "Affordable Healthcare for America Act" bill in direct contrast to his earlier position during the election campaign.
According to, Mr. Owens assured voters that he felt the public option had no place in the health care reform bill. Contrary to that position, Mr. Owens now indicates that he intends to vote in favor of the bill even though it now contains a public option.

Well, he is a liberal and a Democrat. What do you expect, that he would honestely keep his word. Nah, just like most other liberals and Democrats, he is a liar. It is in their DNA.

To those in NY who just voted for this clown and a 1 year represenative: Suckers

Dina Titus and Shelly Berkley- Disgraced Mistresses of Nevada

Shelly Berkley and Dina Titus (D--Pelosi) showed why they are a disgrace to Nevada. Both voted for the health care bill that passed the House of Representatives tonight. Both sucked up to the teat of Nancy Pelosi.
I didn't really expect much from the mistresses. After all, Titus has never held a real job in her life and she is a professor at UNLV. She is an elitist who really doesn't have the cognitive ability to think like a person who actually has a job and pay taxes. She just sits in her Ivory Tower (Ok, in Las Vegas, it could be a cactus tower) writes papers and pretends to teach. I just don't think she is smart enough to know any better than to follow Pelosi.
Berkley is a socialist, plain and simple. She is one of Pelosi's lap dogs and when Nancy yelps, Berkley follows.
Both of these mistresses would be comfortable in certain businesses in Pahrump and Beatty as they sell out the working men and women of Nevada.
Berkley and Titus- mistresses of NV.
