Gov. Jim Gibbons Makes A Fool Of Himself, Again

Just when I thought Jim Gibbons was starting to be a decent candidate for governor, he turns around and does this: Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry made a motion to grant the request for parole eligibility immediately but he gained only the support of Gov. Jim Gibbons on the board composed of the Supreme Court, the attorney general and the governor.
And what crime did this girl thug do?: The state Pardons Board has denied the request for clemency from a female inmate who at age 15 strangled a man in a Las Vegas hotel room while posing as a prostitute in a trick roll caper...But Steve Owens, chief criminal deputy in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, said Burns strangled Pedro Villareal and because of her light weight had to jump up and down on his neck.
So, we have a girl who was 15 years and a prostitute. She and her partner robbed a john and killed him and the evidence points that she is the killer.
She has only served 6 years and 8 months of her term and she wants to apply for parole immediately.
So, why did Gibbons want to grant her request? He is running as a conservative in the governor's race and he pulls this crap? Governor, I really would like to support you, but when you do stupid things like this, it makes me wonder why I should waste my time.
