Wisconsin Law Screws Over Local Communities

From Firehouse.com: "Local governments seeking to cut spending next year could be stifled by a new state law that gives special protection to emergency services such as police and fire.
The little-publicized part of the state budget, signed into law in June, is praised as a way to promote public safety and criticized for crimping the autonomy of municipalities and counties." http://www.firehouse.com/topics/news/wis-law-stifles-police-and-fire-cuts-shared-revenue-cuts-threatened

So, Diamond Jim Doyle and the democrats of Wisconsin have decided they know better about local emergency services than the local communities.
Local communities now need to prove that if they want cut emergency services personnel, they have to prove it won't cut services. If they cut services, they the local communities face a cut in money from the State, if the State is not happy with the arrangements.
The local communities have to prove to the state Department of Revenue that services won't be cut. What the hell does the Dept. of Revenue about emergency services and local community needs? They know nothing.
Most of the police officers and firefighters are decent hard working people. Their union thug leaders are not. Doyle, the Democrats and the union thug leaders just screwed over the local communities. Again. Shameful
