What The Hell Is That?

I went to bed early tonight but all of sudden I was woken up by the sound of thunder and seeing the lighting outside our window.
And of course, the weather people said there was a 0% chance of rain today. 
Seriously, how hard is it to forecast weather in Las Vegas?  It probably rains 10 times a year and the rest of the time, it is clear to partly cloudy and it is windy some times. 
But I guess the weather forecasters in Las Vegas were wrong again.  What a shock.

UMM, Media, It's July, It's Summer, It's Going To Be Hot

I am really getting a headache listening to all these sob stories about how hot it is in the Eastern half of the United States.

It's July, we are in the middle of Summer and it's going to be hot outside.

And they are complaining that 22 people have died because of the heat. Well, that's about 1 person per state and most of these people probably have a pre-existing condition that will make more sucuciptle to the heat.

And of course, the poor, women, children, elderly are going to be hurt the most.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, we are enjoying a beautiful summer. Temps are at or below normal with low humidity. Great swimming and BBQ weather.

Now, I will go out on a limb that come January, we will be seeing the same kind of stories except it wil deal with the cold and snow.

Today should be the last 100 degree in Las Vegas until next late May or early June.

Record Cold in Wisconsin, Extreme Heat in Las Vegas

Madison's high on Friday will be 63. Las Vegas's high will be 114. Thank goodness for air conditioning.
