Stupid Educator News:

From the Houston Chronicle:
An HISD principal agreed with some offended parents that lyrics played at an elementary school's Black History Month assembly were "overly political."
Last week, a presentation stirred some parents at Smith Elementary in northwest Harris County with lyrics about President Barack Obama and another song referencing President George W. Bush. The Parent Teacher Organization put on the program and three first-year teachers organized the songs and performances, according to a statement from HISD.
Lyrics included, "Obama, Obama, this one's for you," and another song says, "Oh, I tried to believe in George Bush, I tried to rush but it's ashes to ashes now," according to a video posted online.
HISD says students who participated had signed permission slips from their parents and they danced to the music but did not sing or recite lyrics. Copies of the lyrics were given to the parents, but not the students, the school district says.  http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/HISD-principal-apologizes-for-overly-political-4327061.php
Actually, the reverse is true, the way the economy is going under Obama.  I don't think anybody with a brain can say things are better under Obama than with Bush.

  1. I have a brain and I seem to remember that the economy was ruined under the Bush administration. All attempts to climb out of the Bush recession have been Fillibustered by Republicans. The stock market has set new records yet the repubs still claim this pres is a socialist even though he has wall st appointees at the fed and treasury. Under Obama spending has declined the last 4 years. Look it up. Spending is now lower that the Bush years. Republicans only complain about spending when a Democrat is in office. I never heard a word from Repubs about spending when Bush was illigally declaring war on a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11 or gave tax breaks to the rich which did not spark the economy or gave the Drug industry the biggest payout of all in the Medicare part D drug plan. If you can find your brain try to use it to tell the truth for a change
