Pawn Stars Rick Harrison On Mark Levin Show

Not No Liberal
Talk show host, Mark Levin had Rick Harrison on his show today and it was a very interesting conversation.
First he described his childhood where he had epilepsy as a child and was home at bed for alo tof his childhood and that is where he learned how to read.  He also had to endure government health care through the Navy because his dad, the Old Man, was in the Navy.  He was less impressed with the care as he had to endure hours of waiting time to visit a doctor when he had an appointment.
He also said that he came to Vegas with his dad and family when they were almost broke and they opened up a small coin shop and also went to swap meets to sell different things.  They also had a second hand shop.
When the City of Las Vegas hit 250,000, they got their pawn license and the rest is history.
Rick stated he wanted to film a reality TV show at some dunes in either CA. or NV. but was turned down by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management, a federal agency) because of budget cuts.  Rick didn't believe that was the real reason as Rick is more conservative/libertarian and he thinks if a liberal producer approached the BLM, they would have approved.
Rick would have paid any fees and employed about 100 people and that wasn't good enough for the BLM.
Rick also said they have 61 employees at their shop and provides medical  insurance to most, if not all of his employees, but he is unsure what ObamaCare and he will need to hire a consultant  just to deal with ObamaCare.
He is also very libertarian and feels government needs to stay out of the way of business and let business do their thing and government should only the basic things to keep people safe.
It was an interesting conversation and it showed where Rick stands on political views- he ain't no Hollywood liberal, that's for sure.
