And How Much Did this Cost Taxpayers?

From the Chicago Sun Times: President Barack Obama, in Manhattan on Tuesday to headline Democratic fundraisers, made a surprise stop at a Gap store at East 42nd and Third Avenue. He bought a blue workout jacket for first lady Michelle.
Last month, the GAP chain moved to raise the minimum wage of its workers this year and next--and Obama used the visit to highlight his so far unsuccessful push for Congress to raise the federal minimum to $10.10 an hour by 2016. Obama has praised the Gap for the move.
According to the pool report, at the Gap, Obama "told a sales associate that he was doing some shopping for his wife, Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha. The employee offered a quick tour of some of the options, pointing out stacks of sweaters and some new spring arrivals. http://politics.suntimes.com/article/washington/obama-surprise-shops-gap-manhattan/wed-03122014-152am
So, Obama flies to NYC at taxpayer expense to buy some cheap clothes.
He also pollutes the skies with his use of Air Force 1, causing more climate change.
Finally, Obama ties up traffic in Manhattan, which makes Chris Christie's traffic jam problem look like a scenic Sunday cruise in the country.
What a POS, this current president is.

  1. I'm very confused. President Obama isn't the first president to fly from place to place on Air Force 1. Didn't it start with Eisenhower? I remember Bush flying all over the country trying to sell the privatization of Social Security. And that's just one example. Is there anything Obama could do that wouldn't tick you off?
