Pawn Stars Review: February 27, 2014, Episode 1

I am not going to BS.  I am really late on these episodes because I have had a lot of work to do, went to the NASCAR races last week and quite frankly, am tired of the BS episodes they have put out lately.
Lately, probably in the last year or two, they have reduced the number of items on the show and replaced them with stupid story lines that are not believable.  And even some of the items they have, are not worth watching when you have characters like Davey Deals trying to buy and sell them.
So, with that said, here is the first episode from February 27, 2014:
The story line of the show is Rick trying to motivate the employees by having Employee of the Month with a $500 bonus.
Chumlee tried to win the award by coming to work early by coming to work at 9:00 but was late by 7 minutes.  He thought he was supposed to start at 10 but in reality, he was supposed to start at 9.  And they decide to tell him now his starting time.  Chumlee also went over the files and sales slip in Rick's office and Rick was not happy.  Chumlee then was found to be tyong fast.  Corey had Chunlee do his work at the store and The Old Man had Chumlee wash his car.  The winner was Victoria and Chumlee was disappointed.

Rick went to a man's house for a 1959 Volkswago Samba Bus.  Rick used to be in love with these buses and said he might, if the bus was in good shape, pay over $100,000 for it, but it also may have been a joke.  It had 23 windows on it.  It was a restored and the guy did a good job restoring it.  The engine was not the original motor, the motor was larger than the original.  The guy wanted $175,000 for the bus.  Yikes. Time for an expert.
The expert was Bill Tsagrino who is car and apparently VW bus restoration expert.  He said it was an European model.  He said, by looking a small information plate, that is the real deal and the bus was built in Greece.  Rick took it for a test ride and it was in very good shape.  Tight was the word they used.  Bill said the VW bus between $120,000 and $140,000.  The seller was not happy with that quote.  The guy went down to $135,000 and Rick offered $105,000 and then $112,000.  The guy wanted $125,000 and there was no sale.

The next guy brought in an autographed First Day Cover signed by Chuck Yeager.  http://www.chuckyeager.com/
Notice the Yeager name.  It says Buck instead of Chuck.  Corey didn't think it was a First Day Cover but instead was some kind of honorary letter.  The guy wanted $2399 and Corey offered  $150.  The seller was not impressed by Corey's stupidity, in his mind.  The guy came down to $250 and Corey offered $200 firm and that was the sale price.

The next guy came in with a Bustamante Egg Art.  http://www.coleccionsergiobustamante.com.mx/
The web site is in Spanish.
The egg was about $18 inches high.  The guy wanted $1000 and Chumlee needed a 2nd opinion so time for a expert.  They went to Art Encounter to see Brett.  Brett said it was an edition piece.  They were making stupid egg joke.  Brett said it was worth about $600.  Chumlee offered $250 and then $325.  The guy went down to $400.  Chumlee offered $350 and that was the sale price.
So, after only 3 items for sale, the show ended.
Thanks for waiting.
