From the New York Daily News: A Walmart shopper took extreme couponing to a new level of crazy when she allegedly whipped out her handgun at a Florida store in a fight over a piddling discount, police said.
The Sunshine State shopper went berserk and pulled the deadly revolver Friday because an assistant store manager refused to honor her $1-off Internet coupon, the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mary Frances Alday, 61, of Crawfordville was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of battery following the afternoon meltdown at the discount giant.
She reportedly became verbally abusive toward the 48-year-old assistant manager when the female employee explained that physical Walmart stores do not honor the type of Web-only coupon that Alday was trying to use.
Alday freaked out, called the manager a “b----” and “intentionally” rammed her with a shopping cart, a police report obtained by TheSmokingGun.com alleged.

I have now worked at Wal-Mart for over 3 months and I have seen a lot of people trying to beat the system and when caught get angry.
The worse people at the people who get WIC- Women, Infant And Children.  Many of these people will argue over things they can and cannot buy.  They hope that if they argue long enough, the store will give in.  Well, I am a hard ass and don't give in, so I won't give in to their complaining.
Another group of people who try and take advantage are the people who price match.  They think they can price compare a generic product with a named brand.  Again, if it is legitimate sure, I'll give it to them, but if not, I won't and probably pissed a few people who lie and take advantage of a good thing.
But, I also have to say, most customers are very honest and it is a vey few who try and cheat and lie to gain an extra dollar or less.
