Pawn Stars Review: March 4, 2013

It's starting to turn Spring here in Las Vegas.  Warm weather, trees are starting to bud, more people are coming outside and starting to wear their summer clothes.  It is also NASCAR week in Las Vegas and we will be going to see the races this next weekend.

In the first episode, the first guy brought in a 1947 guitar amplifier that belonged to Hank Williams Sr.  http://www.gactv.com/gac/ar_az_hank_williams_sr/article/0,,gac_26936_4805323,00.html
The guy wanted $450,000.  Time for an expert.
Jesse of Cowtown Guitars came in.  Jesse said that the amp needed some work.  There was no real evidence that it belonged to Williams. If it did belong to Williams, it would be worth around $25,000.  There was no sale.
The next guy brought in a Incunable book.  http://www.abebooks.com/books/RareBooks/gutenberg-printing-press-incunable/incunabula.shtml
The book came from the 1400's (1484) and it was time for an expert.
Rebecca was the expert again. She said the color black illumination was from the late 19th century.  She said the book was worth $3500-4000, but it would have been worth more with the black color.  The guy wanted $3000 and rick offered and $2500 and was firm and that was the sale price.  Rick then bought the book for $2500 but Corey and The Old Man were mad and they began to barter the price.  Rick bough the book for $3750
The next guy brought in an ID for Evel Knievel.  http://evelknievel.com/  The ID came from Florida.  The guy wanted $1500 and Corey offered $800 and then $1000.  The selling price was $1200.
In the 2nd episode, the first guy brought in a campaign hat from the 1960 Democratic convention and a political Kennedy poster.  John F. Kennedy was the nominee for the Democrats.  http://framework.latimes.com/2012/09/03/1960-democratic-national-convention-in-los-angeles/#/0
The guy wanted $850 for both.  Rick offered $250 for both and that was the selling price.

The next guy brought in a Smith Civil Carbine.  The guy wanted $2500 and time for an expert.
Craig came in to look at the rifle.  He said the gun was not touched up.  He said it was worth about $2500 and $2750.  Rick offered $2000 and the guy wanted $2300 and Rick went to $2100 and that was the selling price.

Star Wars Toys Three Figures Molded Plastic Kenner Collectible Vintage Hans Solo Princess Lea Luke Skywalker Motion Picture Movie Figure
The next guy brought in Star war figurines made by Kenner.  He had 7 figurines, including Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, a Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, Jawa and C3PO.

Johnny came in to look at the toys.  He said they were a first release.  He said they were real and they were worth about $9,000-12,000 range.  Corey offered $5000 and the guy came down to $7000.  Corey offered $6000 and then $7000 and that was the deal.
Corey then was forced to watch a Star Wars movie.
The guy wanted $11,000.  Time for an expert. Corey has never watched a Star war's movie- he's not the only one- same here.

Like this, but no color
The next lady brought in a Scottish Table that had legs and top that looked like a kilt and legs.
Rick took a look at the table and took the top off.  The lady wanted $1500.  Rick offered only $50 because it was not a handcrafted piece of work.  Rick really didn't want the piece and no sale.
That ends another couple Pawn Star's shows.  Thanks for stopping by.  Next will have 2 new episodes.
