From the Chicago Tribune: A Florida man who stabbed a visiting Chicago Bears fan to death in a restaurant was sentenced to life in prison Friday, authorities said.
Police say that in October 2012, Matthew R. Hinson, 29, grew enraged when he saw William Pettry, a 42-year-old married father of three from Lake Villa, cordially speaking to Hinson’s wife. Pettry and a friend had come to Jacksonville to watch the Bears play the Jaguars.
Hinson slashed Pettry’s throat and calmly walked out of the restaurant, police said. He was arrested a few moments later as he pulled out of the restaurant’s parking lot.

With the Bears resigning Jay Cutler for another 7 years or so, many Chicago Bears fans wish they could trade places with the victim.
