It's 9/11 in New York City, Washington D.C. Pennsylvania and now it's silly season. In the media driven storm of Mosque building and Koran burning. The media and talkers are putting on their white robes as they pontificate how holier than thou they are in saying the the builders and burners have the constitutional right to do their deeds, they shouldn't do the deeds because it may offend someone.
Just to be clear, anything Muslims build near Ground Zero will piss off New Yorkers and conservatives. And you burn or sneeze on the Koran you are going to piss off liberals and extremist Muslims. And the media loves it for the ratings and to parade their holier than thou attitude parading to everyone who listens, how pure as the wind driven snow.
As far as I am concerned, I don't care if Muslims are pissed. When I am allowed to visit Mecca with a Bible in my hand, I really couldn't care what Muslims think, whether they are extremist, moderate or liberal Muslims. Their feelings don't concern me.
The best line I heard lately comes from Elliot, from Where I Sit: I downloaded a copy of the Qur’an to my Kindle
And on 9/11, I’m going to delete it. http://www.fromwhereisit.org/?p=8053
As far as the Mosque by Ground Zero, let me see it get built before I get my undies in an uproar. If they convince the iron workers to build it, then I probably won't have a problem with it.
So, let the media games begin today. To bad they cannot strike today.
