The Democratic Party War On Women Continues

From the Hill: White House press secretary Jay Carney insisted Wednesday that it was President Obama's job to focus on the economy and not brewing municipal scandals as he fielded multiple questions about sexually improper behavior by San Diego Mayor Bob Filner and New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.
"I understand the allure of issues like this in the media … and I'm not being critical of it, but I'm saying that the president believes his job is not to comment on those issues, but to focus on what he can do to get this economy growing faster and creating more jobs," Carney said.

The White House spokesman insisted that Obama was not obligated to comment, despite having spoken out previously about the issue of sexual harassment in the military. Eight women have come forward to accuse Filner, a former U.S. congressman, of sexual misconduct in the workplace.
"No," Carney said. "The president is focused on what we can do for the middle class in this country."

Seriously, Obama cannot find the time to condemn the behavior of Weiner and Filner but can weigh in a couple of times in the Trayvon Martin case?
Remember when Obama got involved with an old man professor who is Black and a police officer?
And yet he refuses to condemn a confessed sexual harasser.
The Democrat Party war on women continues.

He's A Democrat- He Didn't Know

From the Chicago Tribune: San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, under mounting pressure to resign over sexual harassment accusations, deserves to have the city pay for his defense because he never received workplace behavior training, his lawyer has told the city attorney.
Filner's private lawyer Harvey Berger wrote in a letter to City Attorney Jan Goldsmith on Monday that San Diego was legally obligated to provide training to prevent sexual harassment to all management-level employees within six months of their joining the city. Goldsmith's office released the letter on Wednesday.

"The city failed to provide such training to Mayor Filner," Berger wrote. "In fact, it is my understanding that such training was scheduled, but that the trainer for the city unilaterally canceled, and never re-scheduled such training for the mayor (and others.)"

So, apparently a Democrat needs a class in how to not to grope women or force themselves on  women.
Kind of explains:
Bill Clinton
Anthony Weiner
Elliot Spitzer
I guess they all needed classes not have sex in the White House, sexting or hanging out with prostitutes.

To Bad This Wasn't On C*O*P*S

Now this is a heck of a cop (9)  fight in Beaverton, OR.
The guy was strung out on mushrooms.
And some people we should legalize all drugs.
Nope, don't think so.

From Oregon Live: A man accused of grabbing a Beaverton police officer's gun and firing it once during a struggle inside City Hall was high on mushrooms at the time and did not respond to police attempts -- including seven Taser blasts -- to control him, the department said Monday.
The incident started shortly before 6 p.m. Friday when 18-year-old Jared Steven Leone walked up to the police records division window, located inside City Hall, and told a clerk he was overdosing, said Detective Sgt. Jim Shumway, a Beaverton police spokesman. Leone reportedly banged his head on the bullet-proof window and started running in circles around the lobby.
Three officers contacted Leone, who was agitated, Shumway said. While the cops were talking to him, Leone reportedly swung and punched one of the officers in the head.
A six-minute struggle on the floor began. Leone quickly grabbed the officer's gun and fired it into a wall, Shumway said.
No one was hit.
"It's clear from the video, the officer didn't have a chance to try to protect the weapon from being removed from the holster," Shumway said. "The moment he grabbed it, he just happened to get lucky."
Leone, Shumway said, immediately fired the weapon after obtaining it.
"He got it, and he shot it," Shumway said.
The officers continued to struggle with Leone and held the gun down, Shumway said. During the incident, Leone also reportedly broke a pair of handcuffs, while his wrist was attached to them.
Shumway said police "tased" Leone seven times and tried a few knee strikes in an attempt to detain him. None was reportedly effective. It appeared, Shumway said, as if Leone could not feel pain. http://www.oregonlive.com/beaverton/index.ssf/2013/07/beaverton_police_say_man_who_f.html
If this happened in Las vegas, Metro would have shot his ass and be totally justified in doing so.
So, either the cops in Beaverton are brave hand fighting a strung high man with a gun or totally stupid.
I'm not sure which one they are.

A-Rod To Be Suspended For Life

new york yankee a rod, getting on base, funny pictures
Even though I don't like A-Rod and especially hate the Yankees, if Alex Rodriguez gets a life time suspension, it doesn't seem right.
From USA Today: Commissioner Bud Selig is prepared to levy a lifetime suspension on New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, while suspending about eight others before the weekend, two people with knowledge of the negotiations told USA TODAY Sports.
The people were unauthorized to speak publicly because no announcement is expected until Thursday or Friday.
I hope he does it,'' former Commissioner Fay Vincent told USA TODAY Sports. "It's right for baseball. The harder he comes down, the better it is for baseball.''
Rodriguez, according to his attorney, David Cornwell, will appeal any suspension, regardless of the severity. The other players are expected to receive 50-game bans, and most are considering accepting the discipline without appealing, according to one of the people.....
Rodriguez, who used performance-enhancing drugs from 2010-2012, according to Biogenesis documents originally released by the Miami New Times, has never been punished for doping. Players who violate the drug policy are subject to a 50-game suspension....
In banning Rodriguez for life Selig could invoke Article XII (B) of the CBA, which states:
"Players may be disciplined for just cause for conduct that is materially detrimental or materially prejudicial to the best interests of baseball, including, but not limited to, engaging in conduct in violation of federal, state or local law.''
MLB will contend that, in addition to lying about performance-enhancing drug use, Rodriguez lied to MLB officials while attempting to sabotage their investigation, according to one of the people.
When asked if MLB is planning to impose a lifetime ban on Rodriguez, union executive director Michael Weiner said in an email: "I can neither confirm nor deny.''   http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2013/07/31/alex-rodriguez-suspended-lifetime-suspension-biogenesis/2606319/
Let's see. Pitcher Steve Howe is suspended 7 times, including several lifetime bans for substance abuse.
Ryan Braun suspended 65 games after slandering a delivery man, lying and using Performance Enhancing Drugs.
Barry Bonds convicted Obstruction of Justice, involved in the BALCO scandal, used PED and never was suspended and is eligible for the Hall of Fame.
Pete Rose was given a life time from Baseball for betting on baseball gamers he participated in.  He also was arrested, served time in prison for tax evasion.  Is A-Rod's misbehavior on the same level as Pete Rose's?
Something tells me that this may be about the Yankees getting out of paying A-Rod's salary, which is very substantial, as much as it his misbehavior.
We shall see what happens.

Crybabies

From the LVRJ: Several civilian members of the Las Vegas police department’s Use of Force Board, including the co-chairman, quit in protest Wednesday in the wake of the sheriff’s decision to save officer Jacquar Roston’s job.
Robert Martinez, 57, resigned in a letter to Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie. He said the department’s internal process for reviewing officer-involved shootings was “flawed.”
“I am saddened by what I feel is your inability to maintain the integrity and credibility of the Critical Incident Review Process,” Martinez wrote. “I can no longer support the Department’s consistent effort to minimize openness and transparency.”
Four other civilian members of the board also quit Wednesday: Glenn Rinehimer, Sandra Eddy, Jay Shafritz and Miriam Rodriguez, according to Martinez. Shafritz and Rodriguez both sat on Roston’s Use of Force Board.
Shafritz, a three-year veteran of the Use of Force Board, told Gillespie he could no longer serve “in good conscience.”
“I find your lack of support to be troubling,” Shafritz wrote in his resignation.
Martinez said members of the Use of Force Board that reviewed Roston’s shooting were given investigative files containing comprehensive background information and employee interviews.
“With all these facts and opinions as evidence, you decided to set that information aside and render a decision that again supports the employee and ignore the conclusions of members of the civilian population specifically assigned to scrutinize these matters,” he wrote.
In April the board recommended Roston, who shot an unarmed man in the leg last year, be fired. Roston was abrasive and unapologetic for his actions during his review and said he wouldn’t change how he handled the incident.
But during his pre-termination hearing a month later, Roston changed his tune and took responsibility for his actions. That board recommended a week-long suspension, and Gillespie agreed with them.  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/crime-courts/use-force-board-co-chair-resigns-cites-gillespies-decision-save-officers-job
Sorry, but these members of the board knew beforehand that there was a chance that the Sheriff could overrule them, and in this case, the Sheriff did.
But apparently these crybabies have decided that their word is as good as God's and they should have the final say in the matter.  But another board had a different opinion- so if the Sheriff went against them, should that board have resigned in protest?
So, goodbye, crybabies and don't let the door hit you in the butt.

Hmmm, FBI/Marshall Service Most Wanted Lists Racist?

U.S. Marshals Service
Like I had nothing to do at 3 in the morning, but the surgery I had is keeping me awake.
Anyways, a story in the paper had me go to the U.S. Marshall Service Top 15 and eventually to the FBI's Top Ten.
Well, the pictures kind of surprised me.
The U.S. Marshall's Top 15 had 10 Whites, 4 Blacks and 1 White/Hispanic
http://www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/index.html
The FBI's Top 10 includes 0 Blacks 5 Hispanics and 5 Whites
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten
The FBI's Most Wanted murderers include 0 Blacks, 9 Hispanic 1 White
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders
The FBI's Top 10 For Additional Violent Crimes: 1 Black, 4 White and 5 Hispanic
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/additional

So, according to Eric Holder's Dept. of Justice, of the Top 45 Most Wanted, 20 are White, 20 are Hispanic and 5 are Black.
Hmm, ok.  Doesn't quite represent crime statistics and racial demographics.
I certainly hope the DOJ is not playing racial politics with the Most Wanted lists.
But considering it is Eric Holder in charge, one has to wonder.

Why Isn't This Racist In Chicago?

Yesterday, a 4 year old girl was shot in Chicago ad where is Jesse Jackson, who lives in Chicago?
From the Orlando Sentinel: Civil-rights leader Jesse Jackson dropped in on the Trayvon Martin-inspired protesters occupying the Florida Capitol Tuesday, labeling Florida's political environment "toxic" and likening Gov. Rick Scott to the late segregationist George Wallace.
Jackson planned to spend the night with the protesters who are in the midst of their third week of sitting in Scott's office, demanding that he call a special session to repeal Florida's 'Stand Your Ground" law. Though initially cited by supporters of Neighborhood Watch captain George Zimmerman, the law wasn't an element in the trial earlier this month that saw Zimmerman acquitted of shooting and killing Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old, in a Sanford gated community.
Jackson said the controversial law was part of a broader discriminatory system against minorities, including voter-disenfranchisement.
"Stand your ground laws must end," Jackson told reporters. "The manipulation of African-Americans here is disgraceful."  http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/blogs/political-pulse/os-jackson-posttrayvon-martin-environment-in-florida-is-toxic-20130730,0,1020184.post
No, you racist moron, shooting 4 year old girls in the city you live in is disgraceful.
I am pretty sure that 90% of Floridians don't want your racist crap in their state and that you should take your KKK black butt to Chicago do something there instead of trying to get on TV.

This Ain't Tailgate Food

Real Tailgate Food

From the Houston Chronicle: With the first NFL game of the year just days away, it’s time to start thinking about football and tailgating.
Saturday’s second annual Tailgate Throwdown at Houston Texans Grille had fans cheering as 10 local chefs put their tasty touches on tailgating. Participating restaurants included Underbelly, Churrascos, Tasting Room-City Centre, Cinq at La Colombe dʼOr, Fusion Taco, Lubyʼs Catering, Eleven XI, Soma Sushi, Liberty Kitchen & Oyster Bar, Hollister on Washington and event host Houston Texans Grille.
A panel of judges that included former  Texan Chester Pitts awarded Hollister’s chef Jason Kerr the title of Most Original. His dish was a plate of Thanksgiving: smoked gouda mac and cheese topped with pulled turkey and cranberry barbecue sauce.
The Tailgate Classic title went to Soma Sushi for its Berkshire pork and kobe beef hot dogs infused with Shiner Bock, homemade pickles and grass-fed beef chili on a sesame chive bun. (Yeah, the sushi spot scored with a hot dog.)
Churrascos won the title of Top Dish with a Kick with pulled pork taco that was served in a fried root vegetable shell. It was delicious, but it was the team’s queso poblano that blew this judge away. (Dear Mr. Cordua, I could eat a gallon of that stuff!)  http://blog.chron.com/29-95/2013/07/chefs-scrimmage-at-tailgate-throwdown-2013/?cmpid=hpts
Sorry, but tailgate food should be hamburgers, hot dogs, (maybe a steak, if you have the time) things you can put BBQ sauce on, beer (soda for the kids) and it should be able to cooked on a BBQ grill- with salads made out of potatoes or slaw.
Gouda cheese is not a tailgate food and  Berkshire/Kobe beef hot dogs are too arrogant to be put on a BBQ grill.  A fried root vegetable taco shell, whatever that is, deserves to be made into nacho chips to dip into some greasy nacho cheese.

Boo To ABC Family: Bunheads Canceled

From the Hollywood Reporter: ABC Family is not moving forward with Bunheads. From Gilmore Girls' Amy Sherman-Palladino, the critically lauded one-hour ballet drama starring Broadway veteran Sutton Foster had wrapped up its 18-episode first season in February. The cable network opted to wait until after its freshman series premiered to make decisions on its bubble series, which included Bunheads and The Lying Game. There had been conflicting reports earlier this year regarding Bunheads' fate.
"Bunheads is a wonderful series that we are very proud to have aired," an ABC Family spokesperson said Monday. "The series had amazing storytelling, the most talented cast and a passionate and loyal fan base. Recognizing all of this, we took extra time to try and find ways to bring the series back for another season, but in the end it simply wasn’t possible. We wish the cast and crew the best in their future endeavors."
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/abc-familys-bunheads-canceled-590213
Bunheads is a show about a ballet school in a small town.  The cast was good, the writing was quite good and the ratings were not that bad, especially for ABC Family.
Even though Bunheads probably was meant mostly for women and kids, I enjoyed it because of the subtle humor and it reminded me when my daughter was in dance.  It also reminds me of life in a small town where everyone knows each other, small town politics and the different cliques in small towns.
Obviously, ABC Family has no time for quality shows but maybe another network might pick them up.
This bit here is typical of Bunheads and it is absolutely hilarious and in some of the areas of the Country, the truth:

Maybe that's why they got canceled- lampooning liberals.

How Do You Get Fired By The Fed's Part 1

From the San Fran Chronicle: A federal judge Tuesday ruled in favor of a Red Bluff family that sued the federal government for the wrongful death of a 9-year-old boy who was crushed by a trailside wall in Lassen Volcanic National Park in 2009.
U.S. District Judge Troy Nunley of U.S. District Court in Sacramento struck down the government's defense that it was within the Park Service's discretion whether to repair or maintain the stone retaining wall that toppled 30 feet down a slope, killing Tommy Botell and seriously injuring his sister Katrina, who was then 13.The ruling comes four years and one day after Tommy Botell's death. The family was at the park to celebrate the birthday of Thomas Botell, Tommy's father, when the boy and his sister sat on the retaining wall to pose for a picture.
The weakened wall cracked under their weight, its rocky pieces crashing into the two young siblings as they tumbled down the slope. The boy's brain stem was crushed, giving him only a few minutes to tell his mother that he was hurting before he died in her arms.
Steve Campora, an attorney for the Botells, said they will return to court on Sept. 16 to determine what damages should be paid to the family, which sought $9 million when they filed the lawsuit last year....
"The park's safety program mandated the closure of known dangers such as the retaining wall," he wrote in the order. "Based on the foregoing, the court finds that the safety program constituted a policy directing mandatory and specific actions that were admittedly not followed."
After the accident, a U.S. magistrate found that the wall, as well as numerous e-mails, files of the park's chief of maintenance and evidence about the deteriorating condition of the wall, had been destroyed on the orders of the park's superintendent, Darlene Koontz.
Justice Department attorneys said that this was done to protect the public, but Judge Nunley ruled that by committing these acts, the government had forfeited its right to deny negligence.
The Department of Justice did not return calls for comment, nor did Koontz, who is still the park's superintendent.   http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Judge-rules-for-family-in-death-of-boy-at-Lassen-4696897.php
So, you have a park superintendent who failed to make a known hazard safe or keep visitors away and then has e-mails, files and other evidence destroyed.
And her punishment is what?
She still has the same job, even though a child was killed through her negligence and then destroying evidence.
What do you have to do to get fired by the Feds?

How Do You Get Fired By The Fed's? Part 2

From the Chicago Tribune: A college student mistakenly left in a Drug Enforcement Administration interrogation room for five days will receive $4.1 million from the government in a settlement in advance of a lawsuit.
The settlement was announced Tuesday in San Diego by the student, Daniel Chong, 25, and his lawyer, Eugene Iredale.
"It was an accident, a really bad, horrible accident," said Chong, who added that he now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
The bizarre event in April 2012 began when Chong, an engineering student at UC San Diego, went to a house near campus to smoke marijuana with friends and found himself swept up in a DEA raid.
After being questioned briefly at the DEA facility in San Diego, he was told he would be released. But, for reasons that remain unclear, he was left for five days in a 5-by-10-foot windowless room without food, water or toilet facilities.
He suffered hallucinations and was forced to drink his urine to survive. He screamed for help.....
“I extend my deepest apologies [to] the young man and want to express that this event is not indicative of the high standards that I hold my employees to,” said William R. Sherman, who was acting special agent in charge of the DEA’s San Diego Division.  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/la-me-ln-dea-daniel-chong-forgotten-20130730,0,5306191.story
But according to Fox: It remained unclear how the situation occurred, and no one has been disciplined, said Eugene Iredale, another attorney for Chong. The Justice Department's inspector general is investigating.

So, this fool, Sherman, holds his employees to high standards, then why hasn't anybody been fired or even yelled at?

But Hey, It's Only $12,000,000,000 In Taxpayer Money

From the Chicago Tribune: President Barack Obama's decision to delay implementation of part of his healthcare reform law will cost $12 billion and leave a million fewer Americans with employer-sponsored health insurance in 2014, congressional researchers said Tuesday.
The report by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office is the first authoritative estimate of the human and fiscal cost from the administration's unexpected one-year delay announced July 2 of the employer mandate - a requirement for larger businesses to provide health coverage for their workers or pay a penalty.
The analysts said the delay will add to the cost of "Obamacare's" insurance-coverage provisions over the next 10 years. Penalties paid by employers would be lower and more individuals who otherwise might have had employer coverage will need federal insurance subsidies.
"Of those who would otherwise have obtained employment-based coverage, roughly half will be uninsured (in 2014)," CBO said in a July 30 letter to Representative Paul Ryan, Republican chairman of the House of Representatives Budget Committee
http://www.chicagotribune.com/health/sns-rt-us-usa-healthcare-employers-20130730,0,1437338.story
But hey, it's only taxpayer/insurance payer money.
More ObamaCare disaster.
And just remember, Hillary Clinton supports/loves ObamaCare.  Yeah, that'll be brought up in 2016.

Even If I Could Afford It, No Way Would I Buy A Closet For $675,000

Image
From the Las Vegas Sun: This is one expensive shoe box.
A 599-square-foot condo on the 56th floor of the Cosmopolitan’s east tower recently sold for $675,000, or $1,126.88 per square foot.
The deal, recorded July 5, is perhaps the most expensive resale per square foot in state history for any home, condo or otherwise, according to Luxury Real Estate Management co-owner Anthony Phillips, who sold the property.
By comparison, the median price per square foot of previously owned single-family homes sold in Southern Nevada in June was $96, according to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
The one-bedroom condo on the Strip has a private terrace, telescoping doors, and a bathroom with marble tile and a Japanese soaking tub. The condo has views of the Bellagio, the Veer Towers condo complex and the Aria.
There are a lot of people in Las Vegas who has a closet or bedroom the size of this "condo".
I'm sure the amenities are pretty good, though, but that comes with an extra monthly cost as well.

Hey NASCAR, Get This Guy For Flyovers

This would be cool flying over a stadium, especially since the U.S. military has stopped doing flyovers for sporting events:

This Is What Blind Loyalty Gets You

You cannot argue that the vast majority Black population in the United States has blind loyalty to President Obama and the Democratic Party.
This is what blind loyalty has gotten from the Obama administration.
From Richard Rahn and the Washington Times:  If you knew nothing else about President Obama other than looking at the data, you might conclude that he was insensitive to blacks, given that they have done far worse economically under his administration than Hispanics or whites. What is striking is that the president and his advisers still seem to be clueless about which economic policies work and which don’t work. Despite his (at least for this week) emphasis on the economy, he persists in being the anti-Reagan, with anti-growth policies. In his speech Wednesday in Illinois, the president came up with no new pro-growth proposals, just more of what has not worked.
President Reagan reduced the maximum tax rate on job creators by 60 percent; Mr. Obama increased the maximum tax rate on job creators by 17 percent. Reagan cut non-defense, discretionary, federal government spending by a third as a percentage of gross domestic product; Mr. Obama has increased it. Reagan cut government regulations while Mr. Obama has greatly increased them.
The results are:
Under Reagan, adult black unemployment fell by 20 percent, but under Mr. Obama, it has increased by 42 percent.
Black teenage unemployment fell by 16 percent under Reagan, but has risen by 56 percent under Mr. Obama.
The increase in unemployment rates has been far worse for blacks under Mr. Obama than for whites and Hispanics.
Inflation-adjusted real incomes are slightly higher for Hispanics and whites than they were in 2008, but are lower for blacks.
The labor force participation rate has fallen for all groups, but remains far lower for blacks than for whites and Hispanics.
Read more: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jul/26/obamas-bad-news-for-blacks/#ixzz2aZtDTAL7
Those who have read this blog know that I have been saying for a long time, Obama doesn't care about the Blacks of this country.  He doesn't visit the inner cities, unless it is election time and even then, it is very rare.
He doesn't say anything substantial about the Black on Black crime in this country and certainly doesn't talk about the problems in Chicago, his supposed hometown.
But 99% of the Blacks in this Country have blind loyalty to him even as he keeps the majority of them down on the liberal plantation, only feeding them with welfare, food stamps and other public assistance.
So, until the Blacks start standing up for themselves and break free of the liberal plantation, I am not going feel to sorry for them, except the innocent murder victims.

Green Energy Plant Explodes, Creates Huge Amount Of Pollution

From Firehouse.com:  Tuesday morning fire at a biodiesel plant in Sedgwick has been contained to the structure, but crews were still battling the blaze, a spokeswoman for the Sedgwick police department said.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire departments from Sedgwick, Sedgwick County, Halstead and McConnell Air Force Base responded to the fire shortly after 8 a.m. just south of the Harvey County border, officials said. McConnell responders are using foam to control the fire.
The fire was contained to the structure within an hour but flames were still coming from the building, the police spokeswoman said.
Corn oil was burning at one point, according to scanner traffic. Firefighters were more concerned about keeping a nearby 5,000-gallon tank of methanol from catching fire.  http://www.firehouse.com/news/11074450/massive-fire-burning-at-sedgwick-kan-green-products-facility
More clean energy polluting the air.

Typical Democrat

photo
From the San Diego Union Times: The drive to recall Mayor Bob Filner began in earnest Monday as the beleaguered politician made a formal request for taxpayers to pick up the tab for his legal fees stemming from a sexual harassment lawsuit.....
While the recall movement was expected to take off this week, it surprised many that Filner would ask taxpayers to foot the bill for his legal troubles.
City Council President Todd Gloria announced the mayor’s request at the end of Monday’s meeting and said it would be discussed by the council in closed session Tuesday. It’s not likely to garner much support given that seven of the nine council members have called on Filner to resign in recent weeks.
Gloria said he’s not willing to spend taxpayer money on Filner’s legal fees.
“This is about personal behavior,” he said. “We certainly provide defenses to city employees who have been caught up in legal issues as a result of their day-to-day work but obviously sexual harassment is not tolerated in the city. It’s not necessary for the conduct of your work. I think it would send the wrong message to taxpayers that we’d be willing to pay for the defense.”
http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/jul/29/filner-recall-legal-fees-sexual-harassment/
The fact he and his lawyer asked for legal fees means he is not taking the accusations of sexual harassment seriously and he doesn't believe he did anything wrong.
Just more typical Democratic politician/liberal/Obama voter behavior- they feel entitled to anything- whether the deserve it or not.  They blame everybody but themselves for their lot in life and then demand that the government bail them out.

With This Fakery, I'm Sure NBC Will Tell The Truth About Hillary

Today, the wife and I started to watch the TV show "Siberia", which is supposed to be about a reality show in Siberia, Russia and it had real contestants.
Right off the bat, I thought something was wrong when the helicopter they were using had English on it instead of Russian and it went downhill for the rest of episodes we watched.
Well, Siberia was not filmed in Siberia, instead it was filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
From News Max: "Siberia," NBC's new summer series that premiered Monday, is already drawing scorn from its namesake region, which accused the TV show of keeping with "the U.S. stereotype of Siberia mixed with a cocktail of Hollywood horrors and then frozen in a Cold War time warp."
Almost like "Survivor" gone wrong, the scripted drama tells the story of a fictional reality TV series in which 16 contestants must survive in what is purportedly the Siberian territory of Tunguska to win the $500,000 prize.
The only problem? The show was filmed in Manitoba, Canada, and Russians are not happy about it.
"U.S. viewers are conned into believing the action is in Siberia, which is after all the name of the show. In reality, this faux-reality show was
filmed on the other side of the world, in a Canadian prairie province," a Siberian Times review reads. "It is Siberia's image in the world which takes another hit. Just at a time when it is rightly recovering a more positive image around the world, with inward investment and foreign tourism growing significantly. These investors and tourists come in search of the real modern Siberia, unlike the makers of this TV fake."
Read Latest Breaking News from Newsmax.com http://www.newsmax.com/thewire/siberia-tv-show-filmed/2013/07/02/id/512958#ixzz2aW3BHSlP
This really doesn't give me great confidence that NBC will be very truthful when it comes the Hillary mini-series scheduled just before the 2016 presidential elections.
But who knows, maybe they will make it into a reality TV show instead.  Maybe Bill&Hillary& Cigars?  How about "How many diplomats can you get killed in a foreign country"?  Or perhaps: "How Many People Can I Fool At 1 Time?"
I'm open to other suggestions.

Very Sad

From the Sacramento Bee: Like most children with a food allergy, Natalie Giorgi was raised with a keen understanding of how careful she had to be.
At 13, she knew that her peanut allergy could be deadly, and her parents were exceedingly cautious about what she ate.
"She never put any dessert or anything that was questionable into her mouth without consulting someone," said Augusta Brothers, a family friend.
But Friday night, years of caution couldn't save her.
The redheaded teen died early Saturday, the result of an apparent allergic reaction after she bit into a Rice Krispies treat at Camp Sacramento on the final night of the family camp.Natalie was attending the camp along Highway 50 in the Eldorado National Forest with her parents, two sisters and brother, all of Carmichael.
On Friday night, during a group gathering, she went into the lodge for a treat. The lights had been dimmed and three varieties of Rice Krispies treats prepared by the camp cook were brought out for the group, said Brothers, who was there with her own family.
"After every campfire, they provide snacks, cookies and ice cream," Brothers said, and Friday night Natalie tasted a treat topped with icing.
She spit it out right away, Brothers said, and went to find her mother to tell her she had tasted something with peanuts.
Her parents, Sacramento urologist Dr. Louis Giorgi and his wife, Joanne, responded immediately. Natalie's mother tasted the treat and also detected peanuts. The girl was given a dose of Benadryl to offset an allergic reaction, Brothers said.
They monitored Natalie, who at first seemed fine, still smiling and enjoying herself, Brothers said. Twenty minutes later, she vomited and began to have trouble breathing. They monitored Natalie, who at first seemed fine, still smiling and enjoying herself, Brothers said. Twenty minutes later, she vomited and began to have trouble breathing.
Natalie's father administered an injection with an EpiPen, a device used to deliver epinephrine that is commonly carried by individuals with serious allergies.
Frequently, an EpiPen can ward off a severe allergic reaction, but the injection had no impact. Brothers said Natalie's father ended up using three EpiPens over the course of several minutes before she stopped breathing.
Paramedics arrived at the camp at 10:40 p.m. and performed CPR to no avail. She was taken by ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, where she was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.  http://www.sacbee.com/2013/07/30/5607195/years-of-caution-about-peanut.htmlI have a daughter who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and she has to be very careful with everything she eats, especially living in Las Vegas where going out to eat is almost 2nd nature.I really feel for the family because the guilt they must be feeling.

When Will they March For Her?

From the Chicago Sun Times:
A week after she turned 4, Khalise Weatherspoon was shot in the stomach while playing outside her Southwest Side home Monday, according to her grandfather.
Khalise and a 31-year-old man were shot just before 5 p.m. near 71st and Rockwell in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, Chicago Police said.
Khalise and the man were initially taken to Holy Cross Hospital. The child was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said. The man was shot in the buttocks. His condition was not known.
Khalise’s grandfather, Richard Spires, arrived at Mount Sinai Hospital about 6:30 p.m., distraught. He had gotten a call from family members that his granddaughter had been shot and he rushed there from his home in Berwyn.
“I got a phone call from my son,” said Spires, 49. “We just celebrated her birthday last week. She was just outside playing with some of my other grandkids, in front of their house, for God’s sake.”
Spires said the child was outside with her mother, Kharish Porter, when she was shot. He said his daughter told him that two men suddenly ran out of the alley and began shooting, and police confirmed that.  http://www.suntimes.com/21610247-761/4-year-old-girl-shot-while-playing-outside-southwest-side-home.html
This shooting happened in Obama's and Jesse Jackson neck of the woods, so they ought to be speaking and condemning this shooting.  Jackson ought to be leading a rally tomorrow to denounce this shooting and the shooters.
Anyone taking bets that this will happen?

This Has To Be A Joke

From the Houston Chronicle:
Conservative bloggers went wild Monday when they got wind of the Congressional Black Caucus’ suggestion that President Obama pick Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston for the post of Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Rich Cooper, avid blogger for Security Debrief, responded to the news of the Jackson Lee recommendation in a post by saying, “Apparently, it is not a joke. For reasons that baffle any sense of reality, it is a serious gesture on the part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) to encourage President Obama to nominate Rep. Jackson Lee as a replacement for outgoing-DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.”
A letter  dated July 25 and signed by CBC Chairwoman Rep. Marcia Fudge, an Ohio Democrat, urges President Barack Obama to consider Jackson Lee for the position formerly held by Janet Napolitano, the first woman to hold the position. Napolitano resigned earlier this month to become president of the University of California.
“Representative Jackson Lee would serve as an effective DHS Secretary because she understands the importance of increasing border security and maintaining homeland security,” the nomination letter reads.....
Cooper responded directly to this line of the letter, saying, “I have heard Rep. Jackson Lee described by many people as many things, but the words “voice of reason” have never been among those descriptions” and that “wildcard” may be a better way to describe the congresswoman.
Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., the ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, was being considered for the Cabinet position before he released a statement saying that he was not interested. Instead, he has chosen to endorse Jackson Lee.  http://blog.chron.com/txpotomac/2013/07/congressional-black-caucus-recommends-sheila-jackson-lee-for-homeland-security-secretary/?cmpid=hpts
Jackson-Lee, among other things, is about the stupidest members of Congress, one of the most racist and least tolerant people on Earth.
Quotes from Lee:
“You don't understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.”
“Don't you know who I am? I'm Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Where is my seafood meal? I know it was ordered.”  http://www.dumbocratquotes.com/viewbyperson.php?personid=40
On a visit to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2005, Rep. Lee made embarrassing news by asking if the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong. She has also urged better relations between the U.S. and Venezuela, which she describes as a friendly nation. She said the U.S. should reconsider its ban on selling F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to that country.
All those who wore sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and started wearing [applause], uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the tea party. Don’t you be fooled. [voices: "That's right.", applause] Those who used to wear sheets are now being able to walk down the aisle and speak as a patriot because you will not speak loudly about the lack of integrity of this movement.
http://www.examiner.com/article/is-sheila-jackson-lee-really-that-stupid
If Obama nominates her, it really would be the end of any kind of creditability he would have- he would have nominated a fool, a queen and a racist.
Maybe this article really was from the Onion, a satire paper.

A Sad Day In Las Vegas

Today was the funeral for police officer David VanBuskirk.  It started with a funeral procession that went along the Vegas Strip, with the casinos paying tribute to Officer VanBuskirk on their video screens outside.  they proceeded to the Central Christian Church, where the visiation and funeral was held.  After the service, a procession of at least 300 police cars, SWAT vehicle, ambulances and fire trucks drove from the Church to Palm Mortuary/Cemetery, where they had the final rites and traditional Line of Duty Death rituals.
Here is part of the write up from the LVRJ:  With a catch in her voice and tears in her eyes, Jennifer VanBuskirk stood in front of about 2,000 people Monday afternoon to say goodbye to her brother.
“My heart is forever broken,” she said. “My brother was one of my very best friends ... He was a loving husband, loyal friend, wonderful uncle, and my protector.”
David VanBuskirk, 36, a Las Vegas police Search and Rescue officer, died last week during a late-night helicopter rescue of a hiker stranded near Mary Jane Falls on Mount Charleston. The officer fell while being hoisted to the helicopter. An investigation into his death remains ongoing....
Uniforms speckled the auditorium in the Central Christian Church as men and women united in grief and love for a man they called friend and brother.
“He was a good man and he cared about each and every one of us,” said Sgt. Gavin Vesp, VanBuskirk’s supervisor and friend.
Vesp recalled being hoisted to the area where VanBuskirk fell. Officers covered their friend’s body to protect it from the rotor wash of the helicopter.
“As I got over there, I knew that there was nothing more that we could do for David in this life,” Vesp said. “I remember touching his face. I remember helping him close his eyes for the last time. And I want everyone to know that David was at peace, and being on that mountain with him that night was the greatest honor of my life.”
VanBuskirk, who was born and raised in Las Vegas, left behind a wife and an extended family. He had no children. ...
Few words could be heard as family, friends, and fellow officers listened to a prayer, followed by a 21-gun salute.
Hundreds struggled to hold back tears behind sunglasses as bagpipers played “Amazing Grace” in the distance.
Gillespie approached the casket, removed his sunglasses, knelt down before VanBuskirk’s wife and presented her with the flag that had draped her husband’s casket that the morning.
The silence of the warm summer afternoon was broken as they played the officer’s final radio traffic:
“Attention all officers. Attention all officers. Officer David VanBuskirk. P-Number 6482. May he rest in peace. Secure. Final.”  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas/funeral-today-las-vegas-officer-killed-hiker-rescue
I watched the service on TV and it was hard to hold back tears as the speakers took their turn honoring Officer VanBuskirk.
My wife and myself watched the procession when it was on Eastern, by Palm Mortuary.  The procession lasted at least 45 minutes, with the following agencies participating (I may have missed two or three due to not seeing their decals on their cars/trucks)
Las Vegas Metro, Metro Search and Rescue, Swat, volunteers and officers, Clark County School Police, Boulder City Police, Henderson fire and police, City of Las Vegas Marshall and Las Vegas Fire Department, BLM, Lake Mead Rangers, Elko Police, Reno Police, Boise, ID police, Washoe County Sheriff and Search and Rescue, Nye County Sheriff and Search and Rescue, North Las Vegas police, Clark County (?) Constable, Clark County Fire, Community Ambulance (Henderson), Medic West, AMR ambulance, San Dimas (Los Angeles County)Search and Rescue, Coconino (AZ)County Search and Rescue, Moapa tribal police, Union Pacific Railroad police and the Nevada Highway Patrol.  There were numerous federal officers there as well, but they were in unmarked cars and in plainclothes, but the paper says the FBI and Secret Service were there.

Anthony Weiner In London?

From Firehouse.com: London firefighters say they have freed hundreds of people with body parts trapped in household objects in the last three years, including 18 children with heads stuck in potties or toilet seats and 79 people trapped in handcuffs...
Since 2010, London firefighters have treated almost 500 people with rings stuck on their fingers, nine with rings stuck on their penises, and one man with his penis stuck in a toaster.
http://www.firehouse.com/news/11070315/london-fire-brigade-experts-in-freeing-body-parts
So, if you have a kid who wants to be a firefighter, let them know it's not all fun and games.

A Very Despicable Company

If you ever read the comments section of a newspaper article, you more than likely have come across a statement like this:  I am getting good income $$2000-2200 per week. Being self employed I can do as little or as much as I want. I therefore don't miss out on promotions as if I want to earn more I simply take on more work, or increase rates. Ten steps from bed to computer is definately my future.
www.Dub50.cℴm.

Many times, these comments are made when there was a tragedy, like a murder, airplane crash, a death of a child and so on.
So, who is this despicable company?  The company's name is Home Profit System out of St. George UT.
This company is a fraud and a sham.  It has a F rating from the Better Business Bureau because they claimed that the BBB gave them an A= rating when the BBB did not.
The company is a Search Engine Agent:
A Search Engine Agent is a new industry term for internet marketer who specifically makes a living posting links for other companies. Internet marketing generally encompasses a wide range of marketing techniques, with link posting only being a part of the bigger picture. However it has become common in the industry to refer to marketers who primarily post links as “Search Engine Agents.”
Part of the common misconceptions about Search Engine Agents is that they are being given a job by the large corporations they are posting links for. This is not the case. Link posting is an independent business opportunity. You partner with the larger corporations by becoming a part of their affiliate programs.
Large corporations will accept most affiliates because they have nothing to lose. They do not pay you any money unless the links you post result in sales to their company. In this matter the TOPS Home Profit System sales page is misleading, because it seems as though they are saying Search Engine Agents are paid to post links, when the reality is they are only paid when a link results in a sale.  http://reviewopedia.com/workathome/tops-home-profit-system-reviews-legit-or-scam/
Now that I know this, apparently some search engine agents have hit this blog, which will not be tolerated any further.
All over the Internet,  there are no web sites that say this site is legitimate, unless they are connected to this horrible company.
So, to my fellow bloggers, if you get comments from these search engine agents, please delete them.
I hope that I can convince newspapers around the country that they should not allow these comments on their web sites.
And if you read these comments from a search engine agent, please don't go to their web site and certainly, don't sign up them- they are a huge rip off.
Thank you.

Another Obama Lie

Last week, President Obama said that Ho Chi Minh, the brutal Communist dictator of Viet Nam was just following Thomas Jefferson, the main writer of our Declaration of  Independence.  Of course, Obama left out the parts of savage butchering of anybody who disagreed with the communists, the torture prison camps and the taking away of basic freedoms.
Now, Obama says that South Korea and it's allies actually won the Korean War.
From the Washington Times: As the first U.S. President to participate in a Korean Armistice commemoration, Barack Obama declared on Saturday the war was “no tie” but a “victory.” He contrasted South Korea’s “vibrant democracy” and dynamic economy “to the repression and poverty of the North.”
That undoubtedly is true. Yet peace remains elusive.

Sixty years ago, on July 27, 1953, representatives of the United Nations Command (UNC), the North Korean People’s Army, and the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army signed the Armistice Agreement to end the Korean War. No words were exchanged and no handshakes. South Korean representatives refused to sign or attend, and only grudgingly agreed to stop fighting.
The Armistice was not a peace treaty but a cease-fire. The conflict to that point had claimed the lives of 36,573 American soldiers and 137,899 South Korean military personnel. Western sources estimate the North Korean People’s army suffered 215,000 killed and the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army 400,000. Recent scholarship puts the full death toll on all sides at just over 1.2 million.
The value of the Armistice in ending open warfare cannot be underestimated. But it did not end the war.
Nearly a million troops – North Korean, South Korean and American, are arrayed on both sides of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) with advanced weaponry on multiple bases. And there have been wholesale violations of the Armistice from the beginning.

Yes, South Korea is doing ok for it's self, but they live in constant fear of the bat shit crazy North Korean dictators.  Is that part of a victory?
Millions on the North Korean side are destitute, starving, in prison, being tortured while the leaders of North Korea are living the life of luxury.  Is that part of the victory Obama claims?
North Korea from time to time threaten to make a nuclear bomb, even shooting off some missiles and the U.S. and South Korea run to the U.N. like crybabies hoping they denounce North Korea and maybe put on some sanctions- which have never worked.  Is that part of the victory, Herr Obama?
Maybe victory for South Korea happened when North Korea shut down part of the de-militarized zone-Kaesong-, an area that was actually working, putting thousands out of work- is that victory?
Like most politicians, Obama lies, but it seems like he has taken it to a new level when he is apparently now rewriting history to appease his communist friends and anybody else- all 5 of them, who actually care what Obama says.

More Evidence Senile Harry Reid Hates The Military

From the Washington Examiner:
International Monetary Fundy chief Christine Lagarde regards recent U.S. spending cuts as “inappropriate,” and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew — the original author of the sequester — took her comments to heart.
“[I]f you look at the amount of deficit reduction we’re doing, we’re just criticized by the IMF for doing too much too soon, that we should do more later and less now,” Lew said on Fox News Sunday.....
If only Lagarde had participated in White House bull sessions about the fiscal debate in 2011, when — according to the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward — Lew came up with the idea of sequestration as a tactic to force Republicans to cave on their demands for spending cuts. “My extensive reporting for my book ‘The Price of Politics’ shows that the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government,” Woodward wrote. “Obama personally approved of the plan for Lew and Nabors to propose the sequester to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.,” he added. Lew thought that if half the spending cuts came from the Defense Department, Republicans would fold. “That’s good,” Reid agreed, per Woodward.  http://washingtonexaminer.com/jack-lew-the-europeans-say-we-need-to-end-spending-cuts/article/2533585
No wonder Senile/Coward/Liar Reid has said noting about the USAF Thunderbirds from Nellis AFB in Las Vegas being grounded or that Nellis is not conducting training flights very often anymore and that the Las Vegas economy is hurting even more because of these budget cuts- to the tunes of tens of millions of dollars.
In the words of Senile/Liar/Coward Reid: That's good.

Funeral Plans Set For Tomorrow For Fallen Metro Officer

For some reason, the LVRJ and Las Vegas Sun an most of the TV media have not mentioned much about the funeral plans for fallen Metro police officer, David VanBuskirk.  But the funeral plans are here, at the Metro web site: http://www.lvmpd.com/Portals/0/news/2013/072613ReleasePO159e.pdf
From the Metro web site:
Services for fallen Search and Rescue Officer David VanBuskirk will be held Monday, July 29, 2013.
A police motorcade will escort the fallen officer, his family, and members of his Search and Rescue / Air Support team from Palm Mortuary on North Main Street to the Central Christian Church located at 1001 New Beginnings Drive in Henderson beginning at 9:00 a.m. This is the first of two motorcades which will take place during this service, and will be the smaller of the two. The route for that procession is as follows:
1. Exit the Palm parking lot onto Main Street,
2. Northbound on Main Street to Foremaster Lane,
3. Eastbound on Foremaster Lane to Las Vegas Boulevard,
4. Southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard to I-215,
5. Eastbound on I-215 to the US-95 Northbound transition,
6. US-95 Northbound to the Galleria Drive Exit,
7. Eastbound on Galleria Drive to Stufflebeam Avenue,
8. Northbound on Stufflebeam Avenue to the Church.
It is anticipated the funeral procession will arrive at Central Christian Church at approximately 9:30 – 9:45 a.m.
Following the arrival of the motorcade there will be a public viewing from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The funeral service will begin at noon, and is anticipated to conclude at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the funeral service the main motorcade will take place from the Central Christian Church parking lot to the graveside service, which will take place at Palm Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 South Eastern Avenue.
The route for that motorcade is as follows:
1. Southbound on Stufflebeam Avenue to Galleria Drive,
2. Westbound on Galleria Drive to US-95,
3. Southbound on US-95 to I-215,
4. Westbound on I-215 to Eastern Avenue,
5. Northbound on Eastern Avenue to Palm Mortuary.
As the funeral procession arrives at Palm Mortuary all Northbound and Southbound traffic on Eastern will be stopped. Eastern will remain closed to both Northbound and Southbound traffic from Robindale Road to Eldorado Lane throughout the graveside services, so that Eastern Avenue can be utilized for overflow parking.
The graveside service is anticipated to last approximately one hour, and will involve the traditional rendering of honors including the presentation of flags to the family, a 21 gun salute, the playing of taps and the playing of bagpipes, and a flyover by the LVMPD Air Support Section.
Motorists should anticipate traffic delays in and around the motorcade route, the church and the gravesite during these services.
If you live in or visiting the Valley tomorrow, please make an effort to see the procession as it will show your support for Officer VanBuskirk and Metro police.

Mother Nature Still Pissed At Harry Reid

Ever since Senile/Coward/Liar/Pathetic Harry Reid came out two times and said that the Mount Charleston fire was caused by climate change, Mother Nature has come out to prove him wrong.
Since Idiot Harry spoke, we have had flooding rains almost everyday, somewhere in the Las Vegas Valley or outside it, but within Clark and Nye County, where the fire started.
Just today, Summerlin, in the Western part of the Valley got almost 1 inch of rain... so far.
Mount Charleston has gotten several inches of rain since Senile Reid spoke.
From the Las Vegas Sun:
The weather service reported a total of 1.81 inches of rain collected in 15 minutes near Mesa Park, with several feet of flood water in the area.
At around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the Regional Transportation Commission issued an alert for the southbound 215 Beltway at Flamingo Road, saying the roadway was flooded, causing vehicles to stall and the offramp to be blocked.
Due to the severe weather, several incoming flights at McCarran International Airport are facing delays up to an hour, according to the Federal Aviation Administration's website.
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013/jul/28/threat-flash-floods-continues-through-tonight/
Around the country, this is a very cool weekend with frost advisories in northern Minnesota.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service just issued at this moment, another flash flood warning, at least the fourth one today in Clark County.
Looking at the NWS weather radar, we still have heavy rain to the west of us and the Valley has a good chance to get soaked again, if the rain makes it over the mountains.
Not bad for living in the desert.
Gee, and another flash flood warning was just issued, 10 minutes after the last one.
So, Liar Harry has been proven to be a liar once more.
I'm just shocked, I tell you, just shocked.

The Next Stand Your Ground Case

From the New Orleans NOLA:
A 14-year-old boy remained in critical condition Friday after being shot in the head by a homeowner who said he thought the teen was trying to break into his house. But police said the teen was unarmed and did not pose an "imminent threat" when he was shot and have charged the owner with attempted second-degree murder.
The family of Marshall Coulter said the teenager could move only the right side of his body a little, but not the left. Doctors told the family that if Coulter survives, he would likely be severely brain damaged.

Coulter's family acknowledged the teen's history of burglary arrests but said he had never used a gun.
Police said that Coulter did not pose a threat to the homeowner, Merritt Landry, who works as a building inspector for the Historic District Landmarks Commission.
Police said the teen was near Landry's vehicle when he was shot about 2 a.m. Landry's friends said the vehicle was in the driveway behind a gate just a few feet from the house's backdoor.
According to an NOPD arrest warrant, Landry shot Coulter from 30 feet away, evidenced by the distance between the blood found on the ground and the single bullet casing outside Landry's house in the 700 block of Mandeville Street.
Landry told police that he approached the boy from his front yard, near his vehicle. As he grew closer, he said, the boy made a "move, as if to reach for something" -- possibly a weapon -- so Landry shot him, the warrant states.   http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2013/07/marigny_homeowner_shooting.html#incart_m-rpt-2
Ok, you have a kid who scaled a 6ft fence at 2:00 in the morning.
The homeowner had no idea if the kid had a weapon.
But the homeowner had no idea if the kid had a record.
And this from his brother:
"He would steal -- he was a professional thief, sure," David Coulter said. "But he would never pick up a gun, not in a million years. He was too scared to aim a gun at the grass, let alone aim it at a person. No way. Before he'll ever pick up a gun, he'll be your friend first.
"He's still a little boy," the brother said. "Who pulls a trigger on a 14-year-old? What if it was your little brother or your sister? How would you feel?"
If it were my kid, I'd be pissed, no doubt, but then I wouldn't raise my kid to do stupid things, like staying out until 2AM, hopping a fence and robbing places.
Unless something else major shows up, I think the homeowner is innocent of shooting the punk kid.
He could have handled it better but that is Monday morning quarterbacking.
Apparently, the thug kid was scoping out the shooter's house at least 2 times prior to the shooting.
He jumped a 6 foot fence.
He made a move that the homeowner thought was threatening.
The homeowner shot the thug because he felt scared for his safety.
If this was a cop, the cop would have gone home at the end of the day and the cop would be cleared.
Regular citizens should not be held to higher standards than the police.

Obamaville= Crapville

From the Chicago Sun Times: Mayor Rahm Emanuel closed the books on 2012 with $33.4 million in unallocated cash on hand — down from $167 million the year before — while adding to the mountain of debt piled on Chicago taxpayers, year-end audits show.
Last week, Moody’s Investors ordered an unprecedented triple-drop in the city’s bond rating, citing Chicago’s “very large and growing” pension liabilities, “significant” debt service payments, “unrelenting public safety demands” and historic reluctance to raise local taxes that has continued under Emanuel.
The 2012 city audits explain why. They show that an unallocated balance that was $167 million a year ago because of Emanuel’s aggressive cost-cutting efforts has dropped to $33.4 million....
In last week’s report, Moody’s noted that the city’s total fund balance at the close of 2012 was $231.3 million and that Chicago has just $625 million in “leased asset reserves.” Had the city fully funded its $1.5 billion “actuarially required contribution” to its four under-funded city employee pension funds in 2012 alone, “these two reserves would have been entirely depleted,” Moody’s said.
The “unassigned” balance is $33.4 million. Experts recommend a cash cushion of at least $200 million for a budget the size of Chicago’s, according to the Civic Federation. The city ended 2009 with an unallocated checkbook balance of just $2.7 million.
The new round of borrowing brings Chicago’s total long-term debt to nearly $29 billion. That’s $10,780 for every one of the city’s nearly 2.69 million residents. More than a decade ago, the debt load was $9.6 billion or $3,338 per resident.
Last year, now-retiring City Comptroller Amer Ahmad argued that the city’s debt load was not “troubling” because, “We still have a very strong bond rating. Our fiscal position is getting better every year and we are aggressively managing our liabilities and obligations.”
Obamaville's finances suck, taxes and fees are high, corrupt politicians, it's the shooting range of the United States and it is run by Obamaites.  I'm surprised more people are not moving out of the city.

You Mean Shopping For Health Insurance Can Be Fun?

From the Denver Post:
You may have heard that shopping for health insurance under President Barack Obama's health care overhaul will be like using Travelocity or Amazon.
But many people will end up with something more mundane than online shopping, like a call to the help desk.
Struggling with a deadline crunch, some states are delaying online tools that could make it easier for consumers to find the right plan when the markets go live Oct. 1.
Ahead of open enrollment for millions of uninsured Americans, the feds and the states are investing in massive call centers.
"The description that this was going to be like Travelocity was a very simplistic way of looking at it," said Christine Ferguson, director of the Rhode Island Health Benefits Exchange. "I never bought into it."
"The bottom line is that with tight timelines, ... states have had to scale back their initial ambitions for Day One," said Paul Hencoski, leader of KPMG's government health practice, which is advising nearly 20 states. "A lot of the more sophisticated functionalities that might have been offered through the Web are being deferred to later phases."
Read more: Shopping for insurance under Obamacare likely to be mundane at first - The Denver Post http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_23741453/shopping-insurance-under-obamacare-likely-be-mundane-at#ixzz2aKF80ZTt
First, shopping on Amazon and Travelocity is not exactly exciting, especially if you are like many Americans, who don't know how to use these kind of web sites, or better yet, a computer.
And unless you have something written write in front of you, a call center is not going to help.
And what about the illiterate?
What are they going to do if they cannot read all the information about ObamaCare?
More ObamaCare disaster.
And insurance shopping isn't as fun as this commercial:

Yep, No Media Bias Here

From the Houston Chronicle: A Hillary Rodham Clinton miniseries timed to precede the 2016 presidential election is part of NBC's effort to create "event" programming that will draw viewers to the shrinking world of broadcast network TV, NBC's programming chief said Saturday.
"We need to be in the event business. I think you're going to hear that from every broadcast network," said Bob Greenblatt, NBC Entertainment chairman.
The four-hour miniseries "Hillary," starring Diane Lane as the former first lady and secretary of state, is one such bid for distinctive programming, he said.
The goal is to woo viewers who are increasingly drawn away by cable TV's eye-catching, critically acclaimed fare like "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" and other media choices.
Broadcasting's audience is shrinking by 4 percent to 7 percent annually, Greenblatt told a meeting of the Television Critics Association.
"Anything that can shake up the landscape and say, 'we have something special'" would be considered part of the varied group of event projects, he said.  http://www.chron.com/entertainment/television/article/NBC-to-air-Hillary-Clinton-miniseries-4690813.php?cmpid=hpts

Democrat Playbook: Ignore Sex Scandals, Hope They Go Away

Mayor Bob Filner, buffeted by sexual harassment allegations, announces he will be taking leave to seek treatment.
The White Man's Obama
From the San Diego Union Times: Mayor Bob Filner’s plan to check into an unspecified behavioral clinic for two weeks without resigning drew near universal condemnation Friday.
Those who have accused him sexual harassment called it nothing more than a tactic to hang on to office.
“Despicable,” “national joke,” “disgusting” and “nightmare” were common words as San Diegans and others reacted to Filner’s announcement that he will begin therapy on Aug. 5.
“Rehabilitation is appropriate AFTER his resignation,” former San Diego City Councilwoman Donna Frye told U-T San Diego in a written statement.
Frye was among three people who first brought the mayor’s alleged history of sexual harassment to light on July 10.
Outside City Hall retired sales rep Rob Schick had harsh words for the mayor, whom he referred to as “Filthner.”
“He’s like our West Coast version of Anthony Weiner,” said Schick, referring to the former congressman turned mayoral candidate in New York who is embroiled in a scandal over his online sexual messages.
“I think this is worse.”
Schick, who lives in Santee, held up anti-Filner signs and said he was concerned that the mayor is hurting the region’s image. “He is despicable,” Schick said.
Seven of the city’s nine council members are now united in calling for Filner to step down. Councilwoman Sherri Lightner, a Democrat, on Friday became the latest to join in.
“Sexual harassment is demeaning and harmful behavior which cannot be tolerated, and I respect the courage of the women who have come forward. I have personally met with the mayor and requested he resign,” she said in a statement.
Councilman Scott Sherman, a Republican, raised the spectre of jail, intimating the mayor’s alleged actions may constitute a form of sexual assault.
“San Diegans should accept nothing less than Bob Filner’s resignation and/or arrest,” Sherman said.
City Councilwoman Lorie Zapf, also a Republican, said Filner staying in office is an affront.
“At the end of the day, Mayor Filner continues to put his needs in front of the needs of his victims and the needs of citizens of San Diego,” she said. “By not stepping down, it is an insult to the victims and an insult to women everywhere.”  http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/jul/26/filner-sexual-harassment-critics/
Filner is just using the playbook of the liberals/Democrats when they find themselves in trouble.  They delay, ignore, delay and ignore some more and then make up excuses for their behavior.  Obama does it when he has been confronted with his scandals in his administration, Bill Clinton was a master in dodging scandal and then you have all the elected officials over the years, like Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Harry Reid and so many others who just ignore scandal and ride it out.
That's what Filner is hoping to do.
The problem he has is that many Democrats are also calling for him to resign.  He obviously is hoping they are not that serious about their calls for resignation and that in 2 weeks, all will be forgiven and he will continue on his merry way as mayor of san Diego.
But Filner is the white man's Obama.  It's all about him and no one else.  He doesn't care about these women, his supporters or the people of San Diego.  And Obama doesn't care about anybody but himself.
So, I don't think Filner will resign because, like Obama, he thinks the others are at fault- he will probably be recalled within a year.

More ObamaCare Disaster

From the Baltimore Sun: Marylanders who buy health insurance on a state exchange under health reform could see their premiums jump as much as 25 percent under rates approved by state regulators, but those increases are less than insurers sought.
Maryland Insurance Commissioner Therese M. Goldsmith approved premium increases Friday for nine insurance companies who applied to sell plans to individuals through a state exchange, called Maryland Health Connection, established under health reform.
The rates were significantly lower than what insurance companies had requested, but still higher than the 6 percent to 7 percent annual premium increase that is typical across the country. Insurers said they were seeking the increases to cover the uncertainty of new costs associated with health care reform.
The full impact of Goldsmith's decision is not known because it is not certain how many people will buy insurance from the exchange. The rate increases would not affect most people who purchase insurance through their jobs, but there are many others who buy insurance individually or who are uninsured who will be able to buy from the exchange.
Maryland Health Connection estimates 180,000 people will buy from the exchange for 2014. They largely will come from the 146,078 Marylanders who currently buy in the individual market and from the estimated 740,000 uninsured people in the state.
The rate review process was scrutinized by critics who thought insurers were seeking exorbitant hikes. Goldsmith approved increases as much as 33 percent below what insurers asked. The commissioner said she sought to balance the needs of both consumers and insurers.

And here I thought ObamaCare was supposed to save consumers money but in reality it is going to cost consumers a lot more than anyone expected.
