When viewing Channel 8 Las Vegas fireworks, in the first moments, you could see about 50 or more pigeons flying away, scared from the booms of the fireworks.
Having said that, there was a lot of smoke from the fireworks, so the people on the Strip didn't have a great view of the fireworks. Maybe the people who saw them from the West got the best view.
And compared to New York, our fireworks were much, much better.
But having Frank Sinatra sing New York, New York was much better than Las Vegas's Elvis Presley's Viva Las Vegas.
But the Brasstown NC has the best tradition, they drop a possum at midnight:
Update: Strange: Both Channel 8and Channel 13 put the fireworks to music, supposedly arranged by the fireworks people.
But the music selection was totally different between the 2 stations. Channel 13 had more modern music to the fireworks while Channel 8 had more of the classics.
Channel 8 had the better coverage and music compared to Channel 13, in my humble opinion.
