From Channel 13: Police are guarding the Georgia home of a couple accused of child
cruelty after authorities reported finding an emaciated teenage boy at a
Los Angles bus station.
Authorities say the teen weighed 87 pounds and told them he had
suffered years of abuse after being taken out of school in the eighth
grade. Los Angeles police said Thursday that the teen told police his
stepfather gave him $200 and a list of homeless shelters before he was
put on a bus to California on his 18th birthday.
Jail records released by Georgia's Paulding County show the teen's
stepfather, Paul Comer, and mother, Sheila Marie Comer, face charges of
false imprisonment and cruelty to children. The records do not indicate
if they have an attorney. http://www.ktnv.com/news/national/170674966.html
My question: why are they guarding the house of the parents? Why aren't they in jail or if they have money to bail out, then maybe they ought to find another place to live.
