The Death Of A Conservative Newspaper

The Las Vegas Review Journal was one of the few conservative newspapers in the country, both in the news and in the editorial page.
However, in the past several weeks, the LVRJ has taken a decidedly turn to the left in the news section, writing many flattering news articles on President Obama and other Democrats while virtually ignoring the GOP. (The editorial page is still fairly conservative)
Leading the charge is Laura Myers, who, when President Obama came to Las Vegas in late September, lied about the number of people at the rally and then claimed she got her numbers from the Democrat Party.
She is constantly writing in glowing terms about how the Democrats have a large lead in both voter registration and the number of Democrats voting so far in early voting, like that really makes a difference in the outcome of the election.
Then you have someone named Chris Sieroty writing about some English bookmaker making Obama a heavy favorite in the election.  Again, that has nothing to do with the election, other than there's a bunch of English people putting more money down on Obama.  But it's huge news for the LVRJ.
Then there is an article about how the unions are helping Obama, written by the new liberal star at the LVRJ, Laura Myers.
And the articles about Romney?  Well, today they had an article about Romney's and Paul Ryan's visit to Henderson, written by Myers, and of course, at least a third of the article was about Obama.
I've been getting home delivery of the LVRJ for the past 8 months, but I have spent the last 2 months and talking to 4 LVRJ employees, trying to cancel my subscription to the paper. They must be getting desperate over there, that they are sending the paper to me every morning for free.
So, another conservative newspaper bites the dust, thinking they will do better by being more liberal.  Think again, LVRJ.
