Pahrump Valley Times Editor Revises History

You got to hand it to Pahrump Valley Times editor, Matt Ward, for attempting to rewrite history in the case of the Nye County emergency radio system and the problems they are now facing.
This is what the mentally challenged Ward writes now: First thing Tuesday regarding DeMeo was the $6 million boondoggle this county calls a radio system. Commissioners launched their assault on the sheriff by using an extremely startling and very detailed report presented by the county’s chief IT guy, Mark Hatfield. The radio system, which was taken away from the sheriff’s control earlier this year, is a scandal. It’s unfortunate that so much was going on Tuesday that this newspaper only really glossed over the details of all that this scandal is shaping up to be. That’s our fault — and we will fix that in short order.
What won’t be fixed anytime soon is this disgrace of an emergency radio system. If you remember, one officer up north already had trouble radioing for help when he got into a skirmish with someone earlier this year. Another incident occurred in Tonopah that highlighted the issue, too — a man’s house caught on fire and dispatch couldn’t radio the fire department. That’s scary! But is that Tony DeMeo’s fault?
That answer is yes, according to Mark Hatfield’s report.
Sometime several years ago, when the sheriff was contracting to build a new, truncated radio system, he was consulting with Motorola. He told Motorola what he wanted and Motorola told him what he wanted wouldn’t work properly. DeMeo and his chief radio guy (whose name sounds like Bennigan’s) decided to ignore Motorola’s advice, and bought a system that doesn’t work, was quickly obsolete and turned out to be a major, major waste of taxpayer money.
Tar and feathers won’t get any of our money back. So hold the tar and feathers

However, in April, 2011, they had no problems with the radio system as they praised the radio system and when I asked the PVT about the new radio system, they said the editor was too busy to answer any questions about the subject: http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2012/03/troubling-times-at-pahrump-valley-times.html
Matt Ward was just to busy to answer questions from us peons about the new radio system.
But it seems like that if the PVT was an actual newspaper instead some paper used to wrap fish in, they may have noticed that these systems have problems throughout the country.  That there were warning signs about the system and the PVT ignored what their readers were saying.
But i guess, the mentally challenged idiot, editor Matt Ward just wants to revise history and pretend they system is such a disgrace now, even though they were warned a long time ago.
Pahrump, aren't you proud of your hometown editor, Matt Ward?  Probably not, I am sure someone is, like a close family member.
