Well, another another week has gone in Las Vegas and another week of reruns for Pawn Stars.
Today, I am at home trying to getting over the 24 hour flu that has been going on for 48 hours and counting. I don't know about the rest of the country, but I am getting sick and tired of all the political commercials going on, though none apparently advertise on Pawn Stars.
Get ready for a new TV show that is similar to Pawns Stars and an auction house combination.
From the Beaufort Island Packet: Beaufort is hitting the small screen as the setting of a reality show
similar to "Pawn Stars," "Storage Wars" and "Baggage Battles."
Beaufort
Liquidation owner Jeff Lowe said his business and auction house will be
the focus of an as-yet-untitled reality show produced by Firecracker
Films and set to air on A&E. People interested in buying and selling
liquidated goods at auction are being sought to audition.
Lowe
said the project is led by Dan Snook, senior vice president of
development for Firecracker, which created shows such as "My Big Fat
Gypsy Wedding." Attempts to reach Snook through his Santa Monica,
Calif., office were unsuccessful, but production crews have been filming
in Beaufort.
The Oct. 20 auction at the former O.C. Welsh dealership on Robert Smalls Parkway will be filmed, Lowe said.
"They want to know what's on the next truck and what we do with it,"
he said. "They're going to follow us from the time I pick up the phone
and say, 'Yeah, I want 13 trucks from Walmart, five trucks from Kmart.'"
Two
plot lines will be filmed for the series, Lowe said. The first focuses
on the liquidation business. The second deals with how someone can earn
money by breaking a pallet of random items down and selling them.
Semi-celebrities, including American Trucker host Robb Mariani, who has
already been to Beaufort, will serve as personal coaches, he said. Lowe
said the show probably won't air for at least six months. http://www.islandpacket.com/2012/10/11/2241486/reality-tv-show-to-be-filmed-in.html
So, if you want to be on TV and live close to Beaufort, South Carolina, here's you chance.
