Headline from the El Paso Times: Do black people support Obama because he's black? http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_21765350/do-black-people-support-obama-because-hes-black?source=most_viewed
From the article: Surviving
slavery, segregation and discrimination has forged a special pride in
African-Americans. Now some are saying this hard-earned pride has become
prejudice in the form of blind loyalty to President Barack Obama.
Are black people supporting Obama mainly because he's black? If race is
just one factor in blacks' support of Obama, does that make them racist?
Can blacks' support for Obama be compared with white voters who may
favor his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, because he's white?
These questions have long animated conservatives who are frustrated by
claims that white people who oppose Obama's policies are racist. This
week, when a black actress who tweeted an endorsement of Romney was
subjected to a stream of abuse from other African-Americans, the
politics of racial accusation came full circle once again.
Stacey Dash, who also has Mexican heritage, is best known for the 1995
film "Clueless" and the recent cable-TV drama "Single Ladies." On
Twitter, she was called "jigaboo," "traitor," "house nigger" and worse
after posting, "Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future."
The theme of the insults: A black woman would have to be stupid,
subservient or both to choose a white Republican over the first black
president.
Russell Simmons, the hip-hop mogul and Obama backer, called Dash's
experience "racism." Said Barbara Walters on "The View": "If she were
white, this wouldn't have happened."
Considering that 90% of blacks vote Democratic, it should not be surprising they will vote for Obama and other Democrats in this next elections and more elections to come. And the question should be why?
What have the Democrats done about the problems in the inner city? Have they reduced inner city unemployment? Have they decreased those on government welfare? Have they increased the number of blacks in the middle class?
Further, many blacks have conservative social values. Many are against gay marriage, crime in their neighborhoods, against illegal immigration and other social issues but Democrats are for gay marriage, fight for criminal's rights and fight against the police, encourage being on welfare and on other government benefits and the Democrats love illegal aliens.
So, why do Blacks support Obama and Democrats when the Democrats really don't stand for the same values many Blacks have?
And if a Black person goes off the Black political plantation, they will be ostracized by the community and threatened with physical harm. Why, because the leaders of liberal Black community are terrified that if 1 or 2 people stray off the plantation, then others will figure out that there is life outside the Black community and they may like it, reducing the power of the leaders and taking away their lavish life style they have come to enjoy, mostly on the backs of hard working Black Americans.
So, when will the El Paso Sun Times run an article asking if white voters for Mitt Romney are voting for him because he is white?
