To be perfectly honest, I've blogged about every Pawn Star show since it came on the air July 26, 2009. The items being sold are being repeated or least they are close in likeness, the story line of the show has become more unbelievable and the bargaining between the staff at Gold and Silver and the customers are quite predictable.
I also find it curious that there is a lack of minorities on the show, which tells me minorities either don't need pawn shops, they don't have interesting things to sell or the show doesn't want to put them on the air. Because of all this, this week, I got a little burned out.
Oh well, with a
Chumlee and Rick went to visit a guy with a 1969 Chevy Camaro. The car was completely rebuilt, including the radio.
The guy wanted $49,000 and Rick offered $38,000. Rick again imitated Les Gold on his bargaining. Rick went to $40,000 and that was the deal.
The story line of the day was what they were going to eat for lunch. Chumlee got sub sandwiches but it was not Subway, a previous advertiser.
The new intern from the previous episode was not in this show. Short career.
The next guy brought in a book, Harry Wright's 1878 Scorecard for the Boston Red stockings. http://baseballhall.org/hof/wright-harry
The guy wanted $5000 and time for an expert, Jeremy. Wright was the first manager in baseball. The scorecard did not have Wright's autograph but it was worth about $500-1000. The Old Man offered $400 and Rick offered $500 firm. The guy wanted $600 but settled for $500.
The next guy brought in the Bat Phone from the Batman TV show and it was signed by Batman, Adam West and Robin, Burt Ward. The phone supposedly sat on Batman's desk.
The guy wanted $500 and time for an expert, Steve. He said the autographs were real and worth $200. Rick offered $100. There was no sale.
That ends the 2nd episode of Pawn stars. Sorry for the delay and see you back here later this week.
