From the Chicago Tribune: Shootings on the South and West sides left at least 13 people, including a 16-year-old boy, wounded Monday, according to police.
Most recently, around 10:50 p.m., three men were wounded in a shooting across from a Chicago Fire Department station in the University Village neighborhood, police said.
A 20-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were sitting in a park in the 1300 block of South Blue Island Avenue, a block away from a 12th District police station, when a group of unknown male attackers walked up to them and fired shots, police said.
The youngest man suffered wounds to the right foot, and the 23-year-old was hit in the right knee. Both were taken to University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital. The 24-year-old was shot in the buttock and was taken to Stroger Hospital.
