From The Las Vegas Sun: Rep. Dina Titus’ time on Capitol Hill is almost concluded, but she’s taking up one last fight, with the help of the House: a bill to help reduce childhood hunger.
The “Weekends Without Hunger” bill, which passed the House by voice vote early this afternoon, is an attempt to bridge the gap between school days, when children usually dependent on nutritional assistance don’t have meals to depend on...Titus’ bill would establish a five-year pilot program to outfit schools and food banks with $10 million of food commodities each year: enough for about 3 million food backpacks of the sort that are currently being distributed in Clark County by such centers as Three Square to about 5,200 kids every weekend.

So, now Dina Titus and House Democrats want schools and food banks responsible for kid's meals on weekends, holidays and presumably Spring, Summer and Winter breaks.
Apparently Titus and her brain damaged ilk don't think parents have no responsibility in raising their kids.
Are you telling me, that a family with food stamps, access to food banks, Churches, social service agencies and or at least friends and neighbors, that family cannot feed their children over a weekend?
Schools already feed these families 2/3 of their meals during the usual work week. Government does not have the obligation to feed the kids during the weekend. It's time for these lazy ass parents to get off their butts and be responsible.
This just shows how pathetic and brain dead Democrats, Dina Titus and any GOP member who voted this, are. But then Dina Titus, a person who never held a real job in her life, knows nothing about responsibility.
