How Strange Is This?

Nellis will not open it's Air Force Base for memorial or funeral services for airman who have passed away but it will open it's base for recycling old Christmas trees.
From the Las Vegas Sun: The Nellis Air Force Base will be collecting Christmas trees between Dec. 26 and Jan. 16 to be recycled.
Residents are encouraged to drop off unadorned trees at the base recycling center in Building 461, located on Tyndall Avenue between Duffer Drive and Griffis Avenue. The trees will be chipped and used as landscaping filler throughout the valley.

But try go on the base to honor an airman who died in the line of duty, forget about it. How sick is that?
