Brand New Park In Henderson, NV

Henderson, NV., my current hometown, is consistently rated one of the best places to live in the United States. One of the reasons for these good rankings are their parks.
Last weekend, Henderson opened up another park, this time by Horizon and Horizon Ridge Parkway. Hidden Falls, the name of the park, is one of Henderson's largest. It has a dog park, bike/skateboard/scooter park, basketball courts, kids area, hiking trails and more.
The dog parks are fairly good sized but smaller than the Bark Park but there is no shaded areas for the dogs or people. This will be a problem in the summer when the temperatures are well over 100 degrees.
The skate park looks pretty cool, if I was 40 years younger, but I am sure the kids who are using it are pretty happy. The other parks seem to be nice as well. The hiking trails look like they go up Black Mountain, but I am not sure how high up they go
The park is located behind Vons and just north of the armory in case you want to check it out.
