From the New York Daily News:
Toying with the idea of starting a new political party? You betcha.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin entertained building a "Freedom Party" while answering Twitter questions on Fox News Saturday.
One user asked, “Would you & Mark Levin be willing to build a 'Freedom Party' if GOP continues to ignore conservatives?”
"I love the name of that party — the 'Freedom Party,'" Palin replied. "And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah."
The 2008 Republican nominee for vice president said that many conservatives with "that libertarian streak" feel ignored by the GOP. If this presumed neglect continues, Palin said, creating a new home for conservatives might not be such a bad idea.
Palin expects more and more people who want government off their backs to ask, "You know, what's wrong with being independent?"
"I think there will be a lot of us who start saying, 'GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in a one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican."
She said that these organizations are private and "no one forces us to be enlisted in either party."

I'd be open to a new party, especially considering how the GOP is selling out many conservatives. Just look at two idiots we have in Nevada- Gov. Brian Sandoval and U.S. Sen. Dean Heller. They aren't conservatives and all in all, would be happy in the Democratic Party, at least with Blue Dog Democrats.
I just wish Palin would not be the face of it.
